Unfortunately CLOSED - Edit
We tried to go there twice, was closed both times and didn't look like it has been open the last few weeks. Probably due to covid?

Great food, Nice ambiance - Edit
The food was great, the tofu was perfect, very soft on the inside yet crispy on the outside. The vegan dish tasted great, although it did not satisfy my caloric needs. I was still hungry after finishing my meal. Many restaurants that cater to omnivores don't seem to realise that a meal that wAs originally put together to contain meat but has been veganised by just supplementing the meat with a meat replacement, will likely be a very low calorie meal because meat is much more calorically dense than tofu. Imho they should do more to up the calories of a veganised meal (e.g.: increase the potion for vegans (more rice and more tofu)).
Read moreI ended up ordering an additional serving of the same meal to satisfy my hunger. The food seemed low fat and healthy.

Good food, central location - Edit
Went to this place as I read they don't serve very spicy food - being pregnant, this was definitely a bonus. They have good vegan options, but the food is a bit bland. It's one thing to not serve spicy food, but this almost had no taste. I got the rice noodles with salad, spring rolls and a sauce on the side. The spring rolls were the tastiest of them all. It's a good option if you're in the city centre and they're reasonably priced for Copenhagen.

Good Vietnamese food by Strøget - Edit
Not the best Vietnamese food I have had ever, but might be the best in Copenhagen. Not a lot of choices, but if you are shopping in Strøget, this is one of the better choices.

Amazing vietnamese food - Edit
I will highly recommend this place, especially for people who loves Vietnamese food.
Read moreThey have 4 vegan dishes, that all offers a wide and delicious variety of tastes and nuances.
The place is small and popular, so you might have trouble to find seatings if you come a large group in the "dinner rush hour". But the place offers take away too.
This place really have love for food. So go there for a delicious vegan taste experience.

Chao Viet Kitchen - Edit
Chao Viet Kitchen was a let-down (sadly). I was excited to try this place since they had a dedicated vegan menu but left feeling unsatisfied. I ordered #11 (a bun chay), and the dish just lacked flavor; however, the crispy spring roll was decent. I knocked one more star off because they charge $2 for tap water (I hadn’t encountered this anywhere else in Copenhagen) so I ended up splurging on a $4 bottled water instead. But really, $2 for tap water???

We had the vegan coconut curry and mushroom and tofu noodles. Both delicious, fresh and flavoursome. Reasonably priced. Place is a bit small and very humid but spotlessly clean. Will definitely return next time in Copenhagen.

Good! - Edit
The bun chay was great, but not the best Vietnamese food I’ve had as the dish would’ve been better with more potent flavors. There are not a lot of tables (two inside, excluding bar chairs), especially not for larger groups than 4. And it was very humid inside, must be very challenging for the staff.

Great vegan options! - Edit
Wow, this was good! I had the vegan coconut curry - they were out of tofu when we went, so I got the crispy fried mushrooms on top instead and I loved them! This was a fresh, tasty, filling meal and I would happily go back to try other dishes. The vegan options are in their own section of the menu, clearly labeled. There were four when we went. The place is a bit small, so I'd recommend going outside of typical lunch hours if you can, and also keep in mind that the restaurant is a bit warm and stuffy inside.

Friendly place, delicious food! - Edit
Small, unassuming Vietnamese place in a very central location. They have a separate vegan section on the menu and make their own vegan "fish sauce". Me and wife shared the Goi Cuon Chay summer rolls as a starter and had a Bun Chay rice noodle bowl each for mains. Everything was delicious and fresh, with decent portions. We will definitely be back.

A tiny place with very few tables, but the food is amazing! After I had tasted the vegan crispy tofu, I went there 3 days in a row and ate the same dish as I just could not get enough of it.

Yummy - Edit
Saw this on happycow and had to give it a try. We were in the area and stopped in for lunch. My partner and I shared the fried tofu and mushroom dish and a rice noodle dish that was topped with chopped peanuts, sliced veggies, and a crispy spring roll. Both dishes were tasty.

I had the bun chay, but there was not much taste to the dish. The portobello was the best part but the crispy tofu tasted like bland tofu.
