Quirky restaurant; nice food - Edit
Quirky restaurant on the edge of Chester. Most of the food is vegan, and all vegan dishes are clearly labelled. Not the absolute best curry I’ve eaten, but it was pretty tasty, particularly the starters. We had to wait quite a while for our main courses, but the place is relatively new, so I think they’re still honing their systems.

Wonderful - Edit
If you want to be spoiled for choice as a vegan or vegetarian and love Indian food please go to this restaurant...... actually just GO as the food and service are brilliant.
Read moreBobby the owner makes sure you’re looked after and even if it’s a wait for the food it’s so worth it.
The juices are amazing as well and i had chai tea with soya milk which was also great.
They have vegan sponge cake 🍰 which is great and I felt spoiled rotten.
Bring your own booze and admire Bobby’s shoes which are also something to behold as you wait for your food 💜👌👍🏻
Pros: Superb vegan menu , Quality food , Lovely staff
Cons: Wait time, Must book a table

Wouldn’t go back - Edit
Was looking forward to going here but it was a let down. Ordered two mains and two sides , it wasn’t overly busy and we blatantly got forgotten about - we waited roughly an hour and when we asked he said it was on it’s way out but we still waited another 10 mins. We got the mild stir fry veges and it was really spicy definitely not mild and it wasn’t very nice. The toilets were really dirty, watered down hand soap and no paper towels to dry your hands! Not very hygienic! We then got given the wrong bill. Wouldn’t ever go back, such a shame as I always like to support vegetarian restaurants.

Sophie, I own Chai Station. This is a rotten and totally unfair review. Thankfully you won't be back.

Incredible! - Edit
Can’t give this place enough praise. I’m in Chester just for the day and made a beeline for this place not only because of Happy Cow but also because of a recommendation from a friend. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was incredible and the staff were absolutely lovely. If you’re in the area, pay this place a visit!

Tasty and fun - Edit
Compact restaurant (good to book). It was lovely that they could squeeze me and my daughter in for a lovely vegan meal.
Read moreGujurati specials include nice lentil doughnuts and pancakes.
BYO alcohol means the prices are keen, The owner keeps his costs low and is at front of house to welcome you - that means you get personal service and attention - it also means a meal for 2 at £28 is pretty good value.
Food really good - not greasy like so often in Indian cuisine. compliments to the chef.
Delighted to support such a great vegan offering in the city with over half the dishes vegan and the others offering paneer.
Pros: friendly service with a smile, tasty indian street food, quirky
Cons: small - good to book, might be good to get a heater over the door!, keen prices mean busy kitchen and few staff

A right Bobby-dazzler! - Edit
Delicious street food with plenty of vegan options (at least half the menu). A very welcoming and warm atmosphere; expect Bobby to shake your hand as you arrive. I recommend... everything. But in particular the Madhu Vada and Cauliflower Pakora.
