Great food, better service - Edit
The food was really tasty, they had several vegan options like the francesinha. But on top of that, the staff was really nice and helped us with choosing the right option. He also came and explained how the food was made and that it was his own recipe.

Delicioso, 5 estrellas para mi - Edit
Le Daría 5 estrellas pero la App no me permite al no ser un establecimiento 100% vegano, pero la comida buenísima , y el precio me parece muy bueno.

Best francesinha - Edit
It's the third time I come to Porto and the second one I come here to eat Francesinha after being disappointed of it in vegan places.
Read moreI never tried the original Francesinha but this one is really meaty. Maybe I'd drop a bit in the chorizo flavour but it's amazing. The fries and the sauce are great too.
They have more vegan options now, basically they took advantage of the fake meat ingredients they used in the francesinha and made other dishes. They even sell vegan products at the counter. Good to find places like this.
Only downside, it's far from the city center and you need to take the metro to get there, but it's fast and easy.
The staff is also very nice and makes you feel welcome.
Pros: Amazing francesinha , Many options, Good prices
Cons: I'd change the chorizo, A bit far from the center

Amazing Selection - Edit
We went here 3 times while we stayed in Porto. The francesinha and pica pau are amazing and we also tried the cachorro, tosta mista, and the prego em pão which were all great as well. The service was fab and it’s so nice to finally find somewhere with vegan tradicional portuguese food!

Worth the trip - Edit
My boyfriend and I came here to try the vegan Francesinha (and also be able to get the regular one for him). It wasn’t something I would want to eat again, but that’s not due to the restaurant! It’s just very salty and heavy, about what you’d expect knowing what’s in it.

Many vegan options - Edit

Tasty traditional Porto meals but veganised. Very tasty. There is a proper separate vegan menu so no need to look around for options.

Vegan Francesinha - Edit
Considering this was my first Francesinha, and vegan at that, this is the benchmark I will measure all vegan Francesinhas against. It was very tasty as I had to confirm it was vegan because of the textures. If I ever return to Oporto (I'm hoping so) I'll return here if I'm ever in the mood for a Francesinha. I'm glad I got there shortly after they opened at 1900. It's very popular with the locals and for delivery. Don't forget your euro, they don't take credit cards.

Great francesinha - Edit
I eat at Casanova each time I pass through Porto. Their francesinha is great, including the sauce and fries. And the best part is the dessert with an amazing "bolo de bolacha" a cake made with maria cookies and cream. Highly recommend!

Best vegan francesinha, hands down - Edit
The vegan Francesinha here is soooo good, my favourite by far. I always come here when I crave one. Plus, they offer a vegan menu, with desserts too! And they're very friendly. I'd rate 5 if I could😄

Best vegan Francesinha in town! - Edit
Casanova was recommended to us by a local vegan we met and she was right. Best vegan francesinha in Porto! Seems to be more of a local place run by a family. Make sure you have room in your stomach, food is a lot and to amazing to leave something behind. We will definitely come back once we are in Porto again!

Affordable spot to try vegan francesinhas - Edit
If we hadn't been told to go here I would not have guessed it would be so vegan friendly. Casanova is a little local cafe with a whole separate vegan menu (it's written vegetarian but the waiter told us the list was all vegan). A friend and I shared a francesinhas with fries and enjoyed the experience. The sauce was really nice, it was cool to get to try this traditional dish veganized. Not something I would eat everyday as it's really heavy but if you want to try this Porto classic I'd highly recommend this cafe. We tried in another restaurant as well and this one was by far better.
