No vegan options

Vegans beware! Several options on menu clearly marked vegan (just "vegan", not "vegan optional" or similar) on menu, BUT, both waitress and chef informed us that not only are these not vegan by default, but they also have no vegan options for cheese and the only way to make them vegan is to omit the cheese altogether. We've been served dairy cheese here before when ordering vegan (back when they did actually have vegan cheese), which is why we were careful to ask this time...

Incredible pizza

We would put 10 if we could, amazing vegan pepperoni pizza! The kombucha provided a nice extinguishing balance along the spicy pizza

No desire to return

It doesn’t feel good to disagree with most people here, but I didn’t have a good experience at Casa La Familia.
I went there last week. The interior was lovely, I liked the decor and the seating arrangements inside.
Everything else was at least dubious.
Firstly, they don’t have a written menu. That’s beyond me why a restaurant would not even have a menu card or at least some chalkboard. Naturally, I refused to use my phone to scan the qr code, which would show me the menu on the internet. So I was given the private smartphone of a staff member. It can’t be expected that everybody has a smartphone (or, in other cases, a credit card). Sometimes people need to be reminded that there is life outside their prosperity bubble as well.
Secondly, vegan dishes aren’t clearly marked (kind of but not really).
The mushroom pizza was all right. Nothing particularily exciting, the dough was great, the vegan cheese and some of the mushrooms (the pickled ones) not so much.
Thirdly, the hummus, which came much later than the pizza, and only after our waiter inquired about it, was poor, barely seasoned and presumably without tahini. The menu promised baked chickpeas, that I failed to find.
Except for one waiter (maybe the owner) it all seemed rather disorganised.

Good vegan pizza

I was welcomed by very friendly staff the moment I walked in. There are a number of pizzas that can be made vegan but you have to tell them so they can use vegan cheese instead of dairy cheese. I took the large classic vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese. It was ready in about 10 minutes. Even though it was filling, I had no problem finishing the large pizza so I would suggest this size if you're a big eater.

Pros: Good pizza, Friendly staff, Quick service

All-vegetarian pizzeria, affordable and tasty food

Very nice and cozy place to eat, good location, tasty food, fair priced. We had two pizzas (one vegetarian and one vegan), both were great tasting, made on the open fire pizza oven. All dishes are vegetarian, and most of them can be made vegan. No beer, but that’s fine with me.

Pros: All-vegetarian, Most of the options can be made vegan, Not too expensive

Cons: No alcohol

Amazing vegan + gluten free pizza

I loved my pizza. Actually, it was the best pizza I have ever had!
Update: Was there in 11.2023. Pizza was not so good anymore and 4 euros for GF base is a bit too much

Updated from previous review on 2022-11-02

Pros: A lot vegan options, Gluten free base is possible

Cons: Price for GF base 4 EUR

One of the best pizzas ever

I came here because of the recommendations. The place is super cozy, the staff very nice, and the food is wow. The vegan version of the Classic Vegetarian was incredible, one of the bests pizzas I've ever tried. I will sure try to come back during this weekend in Vilnius!

Pros: Tasty food, Cozy place

Isn't it supposed to be "familGlia"?

(...Unless I'm misunderstanding - I'm not Italian after all)
Seriously: this place is truly a little gem, cosy, friendly, and they do make very nice pizza.
Plus it's located near the historical center and the old Jewish neighbourhood, and not too far from the train station.

Top pizza

Happy Cow provided another great tip! A good range of veggie/vegan pizza and I think some other dishes plus vegan cakes!

Pizza was ready in 7 mins, which I took out to eat in the park. It was pretty damn good. Along with their homemade lemonade and a delicious vegan Oreo cheesecake, I was more than satisfied.

Pros: Great range of pizzas , Any could be made with vegan cheese, Friendly service.

Give em’ a go!

Lovely restaurant with a good mix of people. It’s a neat set up - they have a part of the restaurant where kids can play and eat and then a more traditional dining area. They are separated well so everyone can do their own thing.

I got the hummus as a starter. The flat bread and hummus were both really nice! Loved the amount of olive oil in the hummus. Delicious! Then I got the vegan Hot Soy pizza. The crust and toppings were really nice. Thin crust which was nice. It was an interesting pizza and a bit different but it was good in its own special way. For dessert I got the Oreo cake.

The only downside is they don’t serve liquor. I was really craving a nice beer with dinner. But I get not everyone drinks so I made out just fine and got the kombucha which was lovely.

Service was quick, efficient and friendly and prices were reasonable.

Good vegan pizza

I had big Hot Soy pizza, it was nice, bit to sweet for my taste but still tasty, especially the dough is amazing. Bit expensive, but I was full for the whole evening :)

Variety, filling

Staff spoke English and menu was in English as well.
Various options to choose from and vegan options are clearly labeled.
I had a large Hot Soy pizza, which was delicious.
A tad expensive but the size of it was good.

Lovely pizzas

Very nice little restaurant with good vegan options, we tried most of them, and they were so good! The Hot Soy one a bit too sweet for our taste though. The staff is very kind, and pizzas came fast.
I can't make it 5 stars though, since the first time we were there we got a table where people with their children were passing through all the time to take on and off their jackets, shoes etc. It is a family and children friendly place with a whole designated room for them where they can eat and the kids can play. For us it was just a bit interrupting and crowded. And noisy also. The second time we sat at "the bar" where they made the pizzas, and this was nicer. But still some noise of course. So if you don't like children and their sounds, maybe choose another place 😅

Pros: Delicious pizzas

Cons: Not too many tables (perhaps book in advance), They don't sell alcohol, A bit noisy

Creative Vegan Pizzas

This place has a list of interesting vegan pizzas to choose from, not the typical marinara with vegetables (yey!) ☺️
I got the Sardelini as take-away: it was quite cheesy but there is room for improvement especially for the vegan “bacon”.
Overall the staff was kind and fast, would totally come back here and try out their other options 🍕🫶

Pros: Interesting Vegan Options, Friendly and fast staff

Cons: Overpriced

Ganz gut

Für eine Speise zwischendurch ganz gut.

Als wir da waren war recht viel los. Für Leute mit Kindern ist der extra Spielbereich für diese ganz gut.

Geschmacklich war es in Ordnung gewesen.

Pros: Gute Auswahl

Great pizza

This place is very cute, but small, and only fits a few tables. When I was there, there was no space, so I got take-away. I ordered the pizza called Garden's in the vegan version, and it was really tasty. Crisp crust and flavorful. Easy to order through Wolt. Tasty.

What a surprise!

They have one of the most unique falafel plates I've ever had. The plate has so much going on, that you can't stop but feel like a kid with so much to choose from 😄
Be sure to ask to remove/substitute honey-mustard sauce for the salad!

Hands down the best pizza I ever had

I did not intend to give this place a 5 star rating before tasting the pizza. But it was just wow. Out of this world. It's either the best pizza I ever had, or the best one since I can remember. It was perfect. If you are a pizza lover, do not even hesitate before going.
They also have ice cream milkshake that can be made vegan (I had the oreo flavour, with almond milk)
Two small negatives: the lady at the entrance was not very friendly, and seemed bothered. But the waiter was friendly and nice.
Second, not all the pizzas can be made vegan (only half of the menu).
However truly worth it. Pizza is amazing.

Delicious vegetarian pizzas

Only been once yet but loved the pizzas they offer. All of them are vegetarian and really tasty, the price is basically the same as in every good pizzeria in Vilnius. The staff was really friendly too and refused to give us any unnecessary utensils or dishes in order to be more sustainable. The place is also family-friendly so you can't get no alcohol there and they have a place for children to play.

Pros: Delicious pizzas, Focuses on being more sustainable, Vegetarian and family-friendly

Cons: Can be a little cramped at times
