Traditional food for turists - Edit
The building itself worth the visit but it’s a very crowded place. You have to book in advance to get a table. Luckily their online booking system works well. I was not impressed by the food. There were only few vegan options in the menu and of course a bit on the pricey side as you can expected from a restaurant that is also an historical landmark.

Good, limited options - Edit
I enjoyed the mushroom stew with polenta. The dill complemented the mushrooms and sauce. If I wasn’t a fan of mushrooms there wasn’t really anything else on the menu for a vegan. Most of the menu is also in English, and they list allergens for menu items so if you know the words for milk and eggs it’s easy to figure out what’s vegan.

Expensive but good quality - Edit
Beautiful place, but quite touristic. They have some vegetarian options, but not vegan as I could see. For obvious reasons it is quite expensive, but a nice experience.

The place was huge and very touristy. The food was nice but, in my opinion, there’s better places to eat for less price and better service. You pay for location and the name/fame the restaurant has

It's great to find a traditional restaurant that has a few vegan options. I had the polenta with mushrooms which was very delicious. My friend also had cabbage as an additional side dish.

Historical Place - Edit
I was there because it is considered one of those places to see worldwide. I wasn't expecting many vegan options and that was it. However, the atmosphere and the shows they offer during the meal are very nice. Reservation is highly recommended

Nice restaurant with vegan choices - Edit
Traditional Romenian restaurant that offers some vegan choices. We tried the vegan antipasti and mushrooms with polenta. They also have two vegan ice cream flavors- mango and chocolate.

My waiter clearly said no butter in the polenta@ - Edit
I was looking for a bit of history, some local beer, and vegan food. The first two goals brought me to this restaurant which is stunningly beautiful and historic. Turns out it was also on my happy cow list of vegan food options in Bucharest so, after some time at the bar I enjoyed the smoky aubergine starter and the mushroom polenta dish. I specifically asked about their use of butter in the polenta and my waiter, having clearly understood, stated definitively that they definitely do not use it. Take that as you will, it seemed OK to me. I would come back.

Fun experience - Edit
Really fun evening with tasty vegan food clearly marked on the menu. To be honest we went mostly to experience the building and traditional folk dancing.

We had the veggie platter, mushroom stew with polenta and vegetable soup which came with a huge bowl of croutons.
Highly recommend this place when visiting Bucharest.

Watch out they use butter in the polenta. - Edit
I believe they are not very knowledgeable about vegan, at least the waiter who served us. Several plates are marked as vegetarian, but the waiter told us that none of them is vegan. I asked about the polenta and she told me that they put butter in it. Then she said they use oil in the mushrooms. I asked if I could get something else with the mushrooms and she seemed pretty annoyed by me me being vegan. I asked if they also use butter in the potatoes and she told me they don't, so I got that. The dishes were not bad but the waiter attitude definitely was.

A few vegan options, dirty interior - Edit
Nice options for vegans. The mushroom stew and polenta was okay. But the floor was so dirty where we were sitting, crumbs and mushed food under our seats that should be cleaned up. The atmosphere was good though as they had live Romanian music and traditional dancing on the Friday night. They need to turn down the heating though - way too hot.
