Great place to sit and watch the world go by - Edit
Such a nice spot to sit and eat. There’s plenty of vegan things on the menu and they also state gluten free. It was really good value for money and we came away very full and satisfied. The owner was lovely and really looked after his customers.

Okay - Edit
Perfectly located in a beautiful square in the historical center, granted with a lovely terrace. The food is okay, and the perfect place if you want to dine in the heart of the city.

Worst in town - Edit
After going to many vegan and vegetarian places in malaga this is one of the worst. It is the one with less options to eat and prices that are not with the quality and type of food just because they are in a centralized place

Okay - Edit
I visited on a Friday in October. They offered two types of lunchmenu's: one for €11 with a starter, two mains and a dessert and one for €10 with only one main. The food was okay. I had a salad with marmelade which was just some lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and strawberry marmelade, vegetable soup that lacked flavour, vegetarian paella and a pudding for dessert. Good value for the money, but not that special.

All a bit...sweet - Edit
We went to Canadu after lots of deliberation (so many vegan options) and it was a little bit odd.
Read moreI had the seitan with cream sauce which wasn’t creamy, more like a gravy that was quite sweet. My mum had the stuffed aubergine with bechamel which was also sweet. The whole thing was a bit bizarre, like someone who isn’t vegan cooking for vegans. Seitan texture was ok, quite soft. Huge huge portions and quite reasonably priced but
Service a bit slow, tried paying for about 15 minutes before having to go in and find him.
Lovely location in the square but wouldn’t recommend.
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Oversweet

Best vegan restaurant in the area - Edit
Very good vegan/vegetarian restaurant in short walking distance from downtown Malaga. Good prices and good vegan selection to choose from, including faux meat (vital wheat gluten). Options clearly marked vegan or vegetarian. Their homemade salad dressing was very tasty. And of course don't forget the sangria!
Read morePros: Lots of good legitimate vegan options
Cons: They have limited hours (close earlier/open later)

Great location, great place, great food - Edit
Really nicely located with great and affordable food options. Also nice lunch menus :). However, as I enjoyed the Canadu salad so much, I went again and got the exact same thing! I have tried some bits from my friends, however, and all dishes were really good. The second time we came the pineapple was forgotten in my salad so I got a large extra bowl. Service is always really good :)

Good vegan and gluten free restaurant - Edit
The menu is good as it shows vegan and gluten free options. Lots of options to choose from. Dishes are big and filling but still healthy. You won't leave hungry! No pizzas which is a plus for me but just to let you know.

Lovely atmosphere - Edit
We had a very pleasant late lunch here. My meat eating boyfriend only had the thick chick pea soup as he'd had some 'fishy' food from the market mid morning but he said it was lovely and tasty. I had some apple croquettes to start and a tropical fruit salad afterwards. Lovely and tasty (I had without pink sauce but was offered an alternative dressing) with lots of fruit and veggies and a massive portion. We wanted a pudding but we had no room left !! We had our lunch accompanied by a pianist which was a wonderful added bonus. Very polite staff who spoke very English than me

Unpleasant experience - Edit
I was by myself, several empty tables all the same size, I sit down at the one closer to the street to see some movement. When the waiter arrived he made me stand up and change table stating I could not sit there by myself and I had to sit at a table on the back. He did not ask me nicely if I could change, there was no reservation, simply forbid me from sitting there. Moments later a couple sat down at that table and there were no issues. Disgraceful behavior from staff and likely owner rules, as if dining alone is not boring enough, one has to sit on the back and leave the better-positioned tables (same size) for any couple turning up? They bring you packaged crackers which you will be charged for. Food was overall ok, not amazing not bad, but the overall experience was ruined, I had not eaten all day so I stayed but would definitely not return.

Oasis in a land of meat & dairy - Edit
Happy Cow came up trumps. So I was in Malaga on business with a group of Omni’s and our first meal the only thing I could have was an adapted salad as there wasn’t any choice that didn’t have some form of meat or dairy on it, so when it came to our evening meal our hosts let me pick. This place came up as close by and with good reviews so we gave it a try.
Read moreI was pleased to have choice, but impressed that it was not just me that enjoyed the meal, all my omni cohorts very much enjoyed it too.

Nice service but food wasn’t great. - Edit
Felt very dated. And just didn’t taste that exciting. Also they had a live pianist which didn’t really create a very relaxed atmosphere. Also make sure you specify vegan or veggie. As they mixed up our order. But we’re super kind to replace.

tourist trap - Edit
The persian rice with mushroom and tofu tasted really good, the lasagne not so good and also overpriced. They forgot to bring us ordered drink but they didnt forget to charge us for it. Also they put on the table some crackers without saying anything and then it also appeared on the bill. It felt like a trap to get more money out of us.

I ate the Escolapines de seitan a la nata y pimenta verde fresca (organic weat “meat” with cream (oat or coconut) served with home fries). Very delicious! The vegan items are clearly marked on the menu, and there were several vegan main dishes to choose from (and starters and dessert!)
