Best vegan food in Hamburg

Authentic Szechuan Chinese food. Home-made fermented noodles and one of the best dumplings I've ever eaten. Small place and you often have to wait a bit, but it's definitely worth it.

Pros: Authentic food

Cons: Small place

Dumplings

Had lunch and was a complete greedy pig, luckily.

I had a noodle dish with lettuce and soy mince which was HUGE and so tasty. Had some spicy dumplings on the side and this made the meal Ying and yang.
Really enjoyed and can’t recommend enough.
Totally delish.

Pros: Staff, Foos

Gut

Gut, die Proportionnen sind korrekt und die Speise sind scharf (etwas habe ich sehr gemocht). Dies Ort ist klein aber die Bedienung ist schnell.

Pros: Scharf, Preise korrekt

Cons: Keine Toiletten, Nicht sehr freundlich

Delicious Asian food

Delicious and authentic Asian food, such as Shiitake dumplings, palenta and Dan Dan noodles. Make sure to prepare for some spicyness😉.

The place is cosy and small; we were lucky to find a spot just before it got crowded. There are no toilets and you can pay only by cash. Staff is friendly and hard-working.

Delicious Szechuan food

Cai Kitchen is appropriately named, as it’s about 50% kitchen, 2 and 1/2 tables, three seats along the window and a bench outside. The interior is just all around cozy and charmingly decorated.

I got the Zhong style dumplings and Dan Dan noodles - those are the bestsellers - and the polenta, as I’ve never had polenta in an Asian restaurant. All three dishes were delicious. The polenta was creamy and the spiciest of the three. Noodles and dumplings were amazing, I understand why those are so popular. The dumplings were soft but didn’t fall apart and tasted great. Seasoning of the noodles was on point, and the cabbage, and what I assume were soy mince and some kind of nut complimented them well.

All food here is vegan, so I appreciate that as well.

OMG best vegan noodles ever!

OK, this really blew my mind and is the top place we visited during our Europe trip. The vegan Dan Dan noodles were PERFECT. I need to somehow recreate the recipe at home to hold me through until I can travel to Hamburg again! It's a hole in the wall, but it deserves 5 stars, hands down!

Love it!

This place combines two of my favorite things: Sichuan food and vegan food. What’s not to like? Food was really nice, level of spice was good and prices were neat. The place is tiny but service is fast.

Pros: Sichuan vegan food!, Fast service, Neat prices

Cons: Cash only

Authentic Food

Cai Kitchen was the major recommendation I got before going back to Hamburg. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to actually sit down here, but I did manage to take home the dumplings which were really tasty.

The place is small (two tables?) so it was very crowded when I walked in, but I really hope to be back someday and taste more of their dishes.

Pros: Authentic flavors

Cons: Crowded because it's very small

Fancy Szechuan food

Lovely place, small room with full view on the kitchen. Sadly no toilets available. For us it was more about exploring new food than filling up the belly which worked out perfectly.
