CAFÉ OF THE WORLD - Edit
WE LOVE THIS PLACE. My wife is not vegetarian and I am. We both enjoy traditional Bolivian dishes and I enjoy creative worldly vegetarian or vegan dishes inspired from around the world. The variety is perfect for us to eat here many times per visit to La Paz and never be disappointed. No doubt they diserve five stars in my book, but Happy Cow reserves that for pure vegan and vegetarian establishments. Go and enjoy an ample tasty meal here and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Best restaurant in La Paz during Covid - Edit
Stayed in La Paz vor a few days and only ate at this place, because it was so good. They can make almost every comida vegan, just ask.

Immer wieder gern :-) - Edit

Brilliant food and cosy venue - Edit
Has lots of vegan drinks - milkshakes, coffees, smoothies, etc. They have the option of coco milk, quinoa milk and soya milk. Food options from all day breakfast smoothie bowls, pancakes, a Buddha bowl and different burgers. I ordered some nachos with beans and fresh veg and guacamole and it was brilliant. The staff are attentive and really friendly. I think they maybe had some vegan cakes but didn’t look. We went back later in the afternoon and I had the Thai sunrise smoothie which was also great service. They have a really cosy setting and it’s not overly loud so you can enjoy conversation with friends. Would have given 5* if possible.

Really nice place to chill - Edit
I have a chia vanilla pudding bowl with soy milk and lots of fruit as well as a banana, cocoa and peanut butter smoothie which wasn’t actually on the menu but they were happy to make. Although they serve meat and non vegan items, there are definitely lots of vegan options here which makes it a great choice.

The sauces you get with the vegan burger aren’t vegan? - Edit
My boyfriend got the soy meat chilli which he said was pretty good, but my burger was really dry and when I enquired about the garlic sauce I got with it they told me that no, it’s not vegan? The only other sauces I got were ketchup and mayo...

Quirky travel cafe - Edit
Each section of multi-storey cafe is decorated according to a different continent: loved the concept. Staff were attentive and prompt service. Quite a few vegan options on the menu. Ordered the El Indonesia bowl with tofu- was quite plain considering but I still enjoyed it (42 Bs). Big portions for each menu item. More expensive than most La Paz cafes but was good value for money. Even have vegan treats on offer (brownie, blueberry muffin, raw ball). Wouldn’t recommend the chocolate brownie- not sweet and very crumbly - it had so much potential :’(. Other than that, great experience dining here!

Terrible service, decent food - Edit
I had a couple f burgers and the smoothie bowl, my friend got granola and yogurt. We also had drinks in there. Service is so slow, and they often made mistakes like not taking someones order down correctly or forgetting to brings someones dish. A little tight with toppings on the smoothie bowls. Burgers not great but welcome after not having a vegan one in quite some time.

Good but not amazing - Edit
Has a few marked vegan options, including pancakes, soup, a burger, and a salad. Quinoa burger was nice but dropping with oil, thai soup was tasty, nacho salad was quite nice but very big. Has a small number of vegan desserts, stay away from the brownie - it was so dry I couldn't finish it.

Nice place - Edit
Clean, quiet little cafe spread out across 3 floors, each room representing a different continent. Menu has tons of options bu is mostly vegetarian or non-veg. The few vegan options they do have are really fresh and tasty. Highly recommend

Hardly animal friendly.... - Edit
I went there today and was sat next to a couple of guys who ordered the biggest ugliest bacon / beef burgers I've seen in a very long time. It was a real "celebration" of meat, and honestly it's hard to square that kind of offering with Happy Cow's overall ethos.

So delicious - Edit
I ate at Cafe Del Mundo three times, while I was in La Paz.
Read moreThats how good the food was.
The vegan chia pancakes and the smoothie bowls were so tasty.
The burgers and the soya mince chilli was amazing too.
Honestly, I much prefered eating here than in veggie restaurants in La Paz, because here they make the effort to bring good, delicious food, and the others just can't compare.
I would rate 5 stars if I could.
Pros: Vegan pancakes!!!
