Prefect ‘break’ from Thai food

If your looking for a little break from Thai food in Chang Mai this is the place. The pizzas are truly amassing, at least half of them are vegetarian and a few vegan options. Would 10/10 recommend the vegan vege. Good selection of drinks and a great atmosphere, with the pizzas being f cooked I front of you as you sit on a quiet lane. We’ve been here twice already and may even sneak in a 3rd visit.

Pros: A few great vegan options, Heaps of vegetarian options, Great low key atmosphere

Good pizza - nothing to rave about

Considering we are in Thailand and Pizza isn't their specialty it's a pretty damn good pizza. They have some great vegan options and actually, the crust is cooked and flavored well.

Pros: Nice Pizza, Good toppings

good vegan pizza

Quite pricey but loved the pizza for a change from Thai food, it’s best to go there early straight away when they are opening up, its getting very busy later on and not so comfy, I felt like they wanted me to leave and not sit for too long, I understand as it is a small place.

Would go back, however ..

Limited seating doesn’t meet the demand, as this place get absolutely packed and was not comfortable for me and my friend. Other customers were also quite loud/rude. Would recommend trying to call in, and getting takeaway if possible.

nice place. not for vegans.

I was still hungry after having one of the vegan pies. It's nice enough but too expensive (for Chiang Mai prices) to not fill me up. I wouldn't go back.

lovely pizza

Such a nice place to get the best pizza in Chiang Mai. Come in the evening when it's dark to feel the vibrant atmosphere.

OK pizza

Has vegan pizza options labelled on the menu although all of the options are predominantly mushroom toppings. The dough was pretty good however the vegetables (eggplant and mushrooms were still a little raw on both of the pizza's we ordered.

Vegan pizza

I love woodfired pizza and was excited to find vegan options, however my pizza wasn't as good as I was hoping. On my Umami Dream pizza I couldn't taste the truffle at all, and there was way too much sauce on the base. The pizza was cooked well and the other ingredients were fine, but overall a bit of a letdown. I would go back to try other pizzas.

vegetarian and vegan pizzas

I called into By Hand Pizza Cafe this evening for dinner with a friend ... We ordered a vegan vegie and a green vegan piza to share (฿400 with bottle of water and soda water) ... the piza bases were nice and the toppings were fresh and tasty ... it was my Thai friend's first time to eat pizza and she preferred the green vegan pizza while enjoyed both of them ... each restaurant has its own take on a vegan pizza and although these pizza were not the best I have eaten they were ok ... on the menu there are 4 vegan pizza options (none with non-dairy cheese) and 9 vegetarian options (with various cheeses)... you can add extra toppings for an additional cost

Pros: vegetarian and vegan pizzas

Cons: serves meat

Hands down THE BEST vegan pizza in CM

The cute and cozy cafe makes hand made, stone oven pizza and has one impressive menu with four mouth watering incredibly diverse vegan pizzas.

Reading the menu the four pizzas sound similar in taste but they are truly worlds apart in flavour. We ordered one of each but our favourite, by far, was the one called The Green Vegan.

The pizzas have a delicious soft crust that many would consider the perfect thickness. Not too thin but definitely not to think either ;)

Highly recommend this wonderful cafe and will definitely be returning. We were a table of happy customers.

Pros: Friendly staff , Great Pizza, Overweight black dog

Cons: Serves non vege food

Oh. My. God.

Absolutely DELICIOUS pizza!!!! 4 totally vegan options and plenty of others that could be veganized (staff are very helpful and friendly so it wouldn't be a problem). Took me a while to ascertain that the pesto they use is vegan: it's homemade with cashews, and is. Phenomenally tasty pizza - expensive for here, bit more than worth it!

Pros: 4 totally vegan options, helpful, friendly staff, amazing pizzas

Amazing pizza; highly recommend

Great pizzas for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. Pizzas are large, freshly made and baked in a stone oven. The price is quite reasonable (around 200 baht for a vegan pizza). Definitely the best pizza I had in Asia! Staff is really friendly. In high season it gets really busy and you may have to wait for up to an hour, but believe me it is worth it.

Pros: amazing pizzas, great atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons: only open at night

delicious vegan pizza

Pizza was very good. If you crave something western after all the Thai food pizza is perfect! So convenient to have vegan pizza on the menu so you don't have to explain you don't want cheese which can be difficult in English.
But: the pizza is quite small

Pros: very delicious

Cons: quite small portions

Awesome Vegan Pizza

After three weeks of Thai food I was craving something western. This hit the spot. There are 4 vegan options (no cheese) and you can add or remove toppings. The pastry was authentic and a proper wood fire oven used.
The only improvement would be if they had a vegan cheese option but still the pizza had a good flavour.

From Hand To Mouth

This pizza was truly amazing. I tried vegan, vegetarian and non veg a like and can honestly say the veg and vegan were the best. With a menu that allows changes to be made and things added as well, this is a must eat place for pizza lovers in Chiang Mai

Pros: Great pizza

Great vegetarian pizzas

This place was fantastic. Half the menu was vegetarian.

Pizzas were hand made in front of us and cooked fresh. Authentic pizza and really friendly staff.

Only point for improvement was all the cats and dogs wondering around right where the food was being prepared.

Four Vegan Options

A cute restaurant with some car seats to sit on. It gets busy so expect to wait. There are lots of vegetarian options and four vegan options. You can add lots of toppings.

Amazing wood fired pizzas

A whole vegan and vegetarian section on the menu, can add or subtract any toppings, the wood fire is fantastic. Sometimes if it's full it's a little bit of a wait as but in my opinion worth it. Seating indoor and out, quirky tables and chairs, nice music, reasonable price.

Pros: Great pizzas, Nice ambience, Vegan and vegetarian section on menu

Cons: Can sometimes have to wait a little
