Beste vegan burgers van Maastricht en omstreken. Voor een smaakvolle burger met friet ben je bij Burgerlijk aan het juiste adres. Ook voor vegans zijn er verschillende burgers en vegan bitterballen mogelijk. Onze favoriet is de vegan tempeh burger met gado gado saus. Er is ook een vegan dessert, een overheerlijke tiramisu. Deze raden we iedereen aan om te bestellen. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam ondanks dat het er vaak druk is. Burgerlijk is burgerlekker!

When it’s vegan usually i’m content with the food, but this wasn’t really tasty… They have 2 vegan burgers on the menu, the seaweed burger wasn’t there. So i ordered the tempeh burger, which didn’t taste great. It was really plain, like they just put the tempeh on bread without preparing it.

The burger was dry (not enough sauce) and the bun itself tasted like it was a day old already. Seaweed burger sounds special but it wasn't. I can't give more than two stars for that.

I had a tempeh burger and some beetroot bitterballen; the bitterballen, though still a bit frozen, were nice enough and a new one on me, but the hamburger was spot on, with gado gado sauce and taugé. We asked the waitress what kind of oil they use in the fryer and she said it was plant-based oil. They only had two vegan options (though to be honest I prefer a small selection) and we had to sit outside thanks to the smell of burning flesh.

Tried the seaweed burger. Wasn't a big fan to be honest. But the fries were really damm good! (The sides are separate so it better be great!!)

We really liked the tempeh burger and the seasweed/soy burgers. Both very tasty, although the seaweed one tasted more exclusive, because it had a Japanese fusion taste. The vegan cheesecake was nice as well.

Read moreMy best option is the temple burger or any other burger with beyond meat. It is the most delicious vegan patty I ever had, comparably much better than the actual meat.
The staff was also very nice and understanding of my dietary restrictions and made sure everything was good!! Very happy with this place!

A simple and uncluttered decor (wooden table and chair). A small menu with a couple of vegan option. The burger looks and tastes good but is quite expensive 12-16,5€ and they're served without fries nor salad. You need to pay an extra 3,60€ to have fries .... Without sauce (another 1€ for you). The gin cocktail was ok but nothing exceptional (for 9,5€).

I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled after what happened at this restaurant.
Read moreI ordered the tempeh burger, regular fries and mayonnaise (ordered separately, each with an additional charge), and specified to the server that I had a serious dairy allergy.
Unfortunately, immediately after leaving the restaurant I started getting serious allergy symptoms like swelling of the face and throat, stuffy nose and extreme stomach pain. Unfortunately, I am no stranger to allergic reactions as many places don't know the difference between lactose intolerance and a serious allergy, or that vegan means no dairy. I am the ultimate vegan tester because of this, as it has unfortunately happened to me several times and I have no other food allergy, so it's definitely a reaction to dairy. I got really sick and only avoided going to the hospital because I have strong allergy medication with me at all times.
The most upsetting part was the reaction of the manager when I went back the next day to notify them of a potential cross contamination issue. She was absolutely insistent that there was no way there could be any dairy in my food despite the irrefutable proof of my allergic reaction. She refused that there could have been any mistake, refused to take any responsibility and wouldn't even agree to double check any ingredients or cross-contamination potential to make sure this doesn't happen in the future.
I understand that mistakes happen and if she had been understanding, apologetic and offered me a refund or gift card to attempt to make up for my illness, I wouldn't have needed to write this review. However If you are vegan, be careful because I don't think the products they use are actually vegan and since they refuse to verify this, I will certainly never return to this place.

They have a vegan deserz (tiramisu) and two vegan burgers (tempeh & seeweed) on the menu. Furthermore you can have any other burger with the beyond meat patty.

The seaweed soy bean burger is excellent. You can also swap any burger for a Beyond Meat burger. The fries were rather small, but tasted great. And vegan mayo is always a plus.

Read moreI had the tempeh burger, which was really tasty. They have vegan sauces (mayonnaise) with the french fries as well; and a selection of ethical/organic sodas. All starters are vegan (see menu online). My boyfriend had the "zeewier" one, we liked it a bit less. Overall I recommend :-)

Very good service and the place is clean and very light which is always a good attraction. I had the tempeh burger which was good but not the best V burgers I have had. The cocktails were very nice nd the atmosphere in general is accommodating.

Went there a month ago. Had the tasty seaweed burger which can be made vegan (they changed the wasabi mayo) with French fries. Was very satisfying. It took me effort to even drink tea afterwards. I hope they will further expand their vegan options.

They don’t take reservations, but it’s not a long wait at the bar. If it takes a bit longer you can leave your phone number and they will call when your table comes free. Excellent solution, we went for a cocktail at Mr. Smith just a few doors down the road.
Back at the restaurant we had the seaweed burger and the tempeh burger, both vegan. They were both very delicious, although we had a preference for the véry tasty tempeh burger. But they were both excellent. Fast and friendly service and great food make this a place worth going to.
In the same street as Ceramique. So it must be the street. Can we rate streets too? 😬
