Oh what a great place to come to! So many options to choose from. It’s rare to have a vegan bakery 🧁 where everything looks so appealing! I got the butter cup and a Nanaimo bar and loved it!

For people craving a sweet - this is the place - Edit
Plenty of public transportation options exist for easy access, and many choices are available. My favorite was the "kind of Oreo" cookie (this is not the actual name, but once you see it, you will understand). It's impressive how they offer classic and elaborately crafted bakery options.

Chocolate caramel oat bar and whoopie pie were delicious, but the pie stuck really hard on the bottom because only the top layer was covered in chocolate and it fell apart when I tried to eat it. Jalapeño cheese scone tasted weird to me.

Second time trying - yummy! - Edit
I had the Supersonic cookie which is an oat cookie with seeds, chocolate chips, and dried cranberries. I also had a Nanaimo bar. Previously, I’ve tried the chocolate chip cookie, and the soft serve. Everything is yummy, and I wouldn’t know it was gluten free. I was also happy that everything is nut-free so I didn’t have to worry about my husband’s allergen.

Everything here is vegan and gluten-free, which is amazing to me. The Nanaimo Bar at Bunner's Bake Shop is the best I've ever had. I couldn't stop saying "yummmm" with every chew. Not even with every bite, every CHEW. It was actually ridiculous. The location is wonderful. The hours are great, open until 7 pm every day.

Love their sweets. The brownie and their version of Jos Louis are amazing, highly recommend if you’re a chocolate lover. I’ve also ordered a few birthday cakes from here, they never let me down.
Read moreHowever, the quiche bites and scones are a miss. I couldn’t even force myself to finish them. Also wish they had a menu posted or labelled the goods somehow. A bit ridiculous you need staff to walk you through all the items and flavours to know your options.

This isn’t my favourite place, I find the icing they use is way too sweet and some of the baked goods I’ve had from here were also sickeningly sweet or dry. I also had the weirdest customer service experience of my life here (former Junction location) when a cake I ordered was given to someone else and the interactions with the staff about it were…strange. But I direct every person I know with celiac to this place and they are so happy with it, they really fill a need for people with gluten intolerances (vegan or not). And I love their cookies!

I have gone to Bunner's a few times and unfortunately I find it is a bit of a hit or miss. Some desserts have been delicious and others not so much. Maybe I've just been unlucky 🤷🏻♀️ Definitely want to go back and have my opinion improve!!

Baked goods heaven. The cinnamon bun is the most popular and we can see why. The lemon and blueberry muffin was also amazing. Bit of a weird smell inside the bakery and no seating but a great treat. Lovely people working there.

Excellent Vegan & Gluten-Free Bakery - Edit
Great bakery! Everything is made 100% vegan and gluten-free and tastes amazing; I was a big fan of the nanaimo bars, they tasted just like the ones my mom used to make. Even our friend who isn’t vegan/gluten-free loved it.
