The atmosphere was quite lovely, friendly staff and most importantly the vegan food was delicious!! We had the Supplí, Cacio e Pepe, which tasted a lot like real cheese and the Beyond Meat Burger. The Drinks were fresh and tasty as well. Definitely worth the Hype and price😉

Delicious vegan food - Edit
Party of 4 for lunch today. 3 vegans, one vegetarian. We tried pizzas, Buddy bowl and Caesar salad. All were delicious. Super friendly staff. It’s a shame we fly home tomorrow because we would’ve liked to go back again!

Went here for lunch today and had an all-over great experience! The service was great and they spoke English well. The food is fairly priced and tastes great! They have a big menu to choose from, over half of which is vegan (see their current menu at https://buddy-vittorioemanuele.ipratico.com/menu/#/)

They have plenty of seating both inside and outside, we choose the latter, where they had tables in both the sun and shade, on a fairly quiet square. Super nice atmosphere and noncrowded, with loads of room for our dog to nap in the shade next to our table. (the waiter also brought us a bowl of cold water for our dog plus a few cuddles )

For a starter me & my partner shared the tofu scramble bruschetta which was lovely & for mains we both had the vegan carbonara which was delicious. Lots of yummy drink options as well. Also really lovely staff. Definitely recommend.

As far as I could tell every option was vegan. Lots of pizza, pasta, and other dishes. The focaccia, spaghetti puttanesca and tiramisu were all very good.

Incredible vegan carbonara, so rich and tasty! 🥰 parents in law aren’t vegan but kept asking if we wanted to go back during the week we were there because it was so good! Went our first and last night, best food of the week -should have gone back sooner! (Also got takeaway to bring to the airport!)

Rare Vegan Restaurant in Rome - Edit
The best part of Buddy is that it is surprisingly one of the few vegetarian places in Rome, a major world travel destination. That may also be the problem: there is little competition so they can inflate their prices.
Read moreMost restaurants you must order a meal without cheese, but here it comes not only cheeset try less but with a vegan alternative. There are plenty of options and they are clearly labeled. I ordered the popular Roman Carbonata (spaghetti covered in cheese and pepper sauce with bacon). Although the noodles were subpar, I appreciated tasting the sauce’s flavor.
I would normally give 4 stars out of appreciation for all the vegan options and tasty food, but the prices are outlandish compared to similar places. (Then again, where else are you going to go?) Not only did the spaghetti cost €14, they also automatically added on a €2 service charge for each person—quite a lot if you’re spending less than €15.

Very nice vegetarian restaurant in rome. Most items on the menu are vegan. I had the buddy bowl and absolutely loved it. Their pizza is with vegan cheese and the also have vegan ham and so on. I can really recommend trying out the tiramisu, it's absolutely delicious ♡. The prices were appropriate in my opinion.
