First Stop On My Italy Food Tour - Edit
I got into Italy late and this was open so I decided to order up. I decided to roll with pizza since I’d rather have pasta at a restaurant. Pizza was decent but definitely wouldn’t be my first choice. I’d like to try other items on the menu.

We came here twice in our stay in Rome. They had creative vegan options including a delicious vegan tuna which we had in a Sandwich and pasta which were both 10/10.

The only thing I would say if the desserts were not quite to the same standard (we had the tiramisu and cheesecake and they were both basically only cream and no biscuit)

We went for dinner and brunch. Wife had been craving a burger on our trip and this did not disappoint. Also had a Pinsa that was very good and avocado bruschetta. For brunch, an oat cappuccino, tofu bruschetta and a tofu sandwich. All lovely! Highly recommend. The interior is also very nice!

My wife and myself had lunch here today and all good. I had the Brunch con SANDWICH VEGANO for €15 which included an avocado and salad spelt bread sandwich with carrot cake, fresh juice oat coffee water. Good value in my opinion in the centre of Roma.

Read moreThe service kinda forgot me. When I asked for the menu after ten minutes he said I could sit at the table next to this one and scan the QR code. Okay. The pasta was huge. It was well flavoured, but for me too Al dente - could have been cooked for 2 min longer. Big pieces of vegan ham. Extra charge for 2€ per water. Due to the fact that it is quite expensive 14€ a dish and that service is kinda slow and pasta undercooked only 3.5 stars.

Non ci sono proposte innovative, il fatto di avere nel menù molti burgher e prodotti che si trovano al supermarket mi ha deluso un po’. Abbiamo assaggiato una carbonara e un sandwich con tofu strapazzato. La carbonara non era troppo gustosa, mentre il sandwich con il tofu era buono, ma con un contorno piuttosto misero.

Excellent, lively restaurant in the centre of town - Edit
We went for dinner and were so pleased with our meal that we returned the following day for lunch knowing we would be in the vicinity. Buddy Veggy is very centrally located, off Piazza Navona, so is easy to get to and close to lots of the sights.
Read moreThe restaurant is large and spacious, and the vibe is informal and funky, although when ones looks around there were actually customers of all ages including, obviously, a lot of tourists, presumably those looking for a plant-based restaurant. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Booking is essential though. It is clearly popular.
The menu is imaginative, wide and varied and, on both occasions, the food was delicious. When we went the first time, for dinner, we were given some free starters. We don't know why. I doubt it was because of our smiles. Nevertheless, this was welcome because the portions are not large.
Prices are in-line with the other veggie/vegan restaurants we ate at in Rome, i.e. quite expensive, although this is understandable in the case of Buddy Veggy given the location.
All in all, this is definitely a place any visitor to Rome looking for a fun, centrally-located veggie/vegan restaurant with excellent food and friendly service should have on their list. We will go back.

The Buddy Vegan has a nice atmosphere. I had a good vegan carbonara and a delicious vegan tiramisu, but the tiramisu was very small for the price.

Wow! The food was incredible. Extensive menu. Friendly staff. My mom (not vegan) says it was the best pasta she has ever had!! The tiramisu almost made me cry it was so good! We raved about the food to the waiter and he gave us both a hug. Everyone there is so sweet. I could eat here every day!

To me, it’s always difficult to create vegan dishes for meat based traditional food. It’s never 100% the same. There are so much better vegan dishes. Anyhow - that’s their concept. The pasta alla puttanesca was ok. The mixed grilled plate for 2 was a bit small for 29€ but with the pasta before, I was filled. I would not come again. It’s just not what I like about vegan food.

Everything that we ordered was delicious. The menu is fantastic with a lot of variety. The staff are all friendly, accommodating and professional. The interior is very nice. In a good location. We visited 3/4 days during our trip.
