We had the carbonara and Buddha bowl. Food was delicious with ample portion size. Staff were very cheerful and pleasant. Highly recommend. We will definitely visit again and mark it up as our must go to place in Rome.

Lovely to go somewhere & know everything you’ll be eating is vegan!! We ordered the Carbonara/Cacio e Pepe and both were good, but nothing crazy in terms of vegan food. The Oreo tiramisu was our favorite, though it doesn’t reallyyy taste like tiramisu - still super delicious.

Le repas était vraiment très bon et très copieux. Nous avons pris une brusheta de tofu brouillé, des carbonara et des pâtes à la truffe et un tiramisu. Tout est vegan et les serveurs sont très sympathiques.

So many delicious vegan choices! The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with both inside and outside seating. Portions (at least for pasta) were pretty big. I'll definitely be back!

They have a huge menu, and I suspect I may have chosen the only sub par dish on it. Husbands carbonara was great, a little rice ball app was yummy. I had the Jessica juice (pineapple and ginger) and loved. What I would not recommend is the Buddy Bowl… it just wasn’t a good combo. Next time I’ll stick to their pastas and pizzas, which all looked amazing!

100% vegan in the heart of Rome - Edit
When we first got to Rome we ate at Buddy Restaurant. We proceeded to go back 4 more times during our trip to continue trying different items on the menu.

Super cute ambiance, clearly ethically vegan, good wifi with an online menu with lots of pictures and both English and Italian descriptions, and a massive variety of options. I wanted to try only different restaurants during our visit but I’m tempted to go back for dinner after our lunch there today
Read moreUpdate: we did in fact go back for dinner. We ordered food take away, dinner to go. They remembered us and were so nice. They also brought us water to have with our drinks while we waited for the food to be ready. If I lived in Rome I would come here all the time. Highly recommend.

Very wide selection of dishes for the area. I mostly always get pasta anyway though. The pinsa are good and the tofu scramble is also a favorite of mine. I keep wanting to try the bowls but every time I go I end up with a primo or a secondo somehow. I recommend the tagliata di seitan as well.

very good tofu scramble with salad and ‘bacon’ and the freshly squeezed OJ was excellent as well. really nice ambience both on the patio and inside as well, a pleasant place to spend time.

Read moreLa primera vez pedí la pasta carbonara la cual se me hizo un ración no tan generosa pero aceptable, y de sabor era buena aunque se siente un poco salada pero creo asi es la idea de esa salsa.
La segunda vez pedí la pizza y quedé encantada, la mejor pizza vegana que he probado. También pedí de postre el tiramisú el cual no recomiendo, solo era crema batida que no sabía a nada, los rescatable eran las galletas oreo.
Los chicos que me atendieron fueron amables.

I always wanted to support vegan establishments, because we are like minded. However, the dish I ordered, which was their namesake, was tasteless. Maybe another dish would have been more exciting but I expected this one to live up to its photo in description. I feel it was missing ingredients which could’ve added to the taste and texture.

We loved Buddy Veggy, lovely staff, great food. We went for lunch and dinner. The truffle and mushroom pizza with vegan mozzarella was so delicious! Lunchtime sandwich and antipasto plate were really good too.

Dined here TWICE! Once for lunch and then again for breakfast. For lunch, I had the speck pizza with tiramisu for dessert. For breakfast, I had the pancakes with hazelnut. Both were delicious and would recommend! The service was fast.

Busy street (if you want to sit outside) but very friendly staff. Great choices on the menu - don't get the tofu sandwich, was quite boring and lacking flavour imo. Truffle pasta was 💣, but I a portion so big, you could probably share unless you are as hungry as I was.

This place is conveniently located near the Pantheon, it’s open for breakfast and lunch maybe dinner too not sure but it’s a really cute eatery with good vibes. Soup & salad was tasty, my husband got pizza which he devoured. Great cappuccino too, so far my fav that I’ve tried in Rome

We had already eaten elsewhere and just went to Buddy VEGGY for desserts. The “Pizzetta con Crema di Nocciola“ was tasty, the “Tiramisù Oreo Vegan” and the iced coffee unfortunately quite blend. The staff was very friendly.

I wish they served more italian food like risotto, ravioli, gnocchi etc. Also some iced tea would be amazing! I dream of matcha latte.

Ich liebe es traditionelle Gerichte im Urlaub auszuprobieren und hier gab es sehr viel davon. Unsere Hauptgerichte waren sehr lecker, nur der Cheesecake war eher nur eine fluffige Creme mit etwas Müsli am Boden und viel Schoko als Topping. Für 7€ war es das leider nicht wert.

They had a really large selections of food, it was hard to decide what to take. We had the Carbonara and Amatriciana. Unfortunately, the sauce for the Cabonara was rather slimy and the portion size was a bit small. The Amatriciana was nice, but a bit expensive for what you got.

The staffs are very nice and kind but I was expecting a tastier food. I couldn’t finish my plate because without the truffle the taste was not very good and was quite heavy. For main I had a pasta with truffle but the white sauce were not tasty, more like when you make a cashew cream in a blender with the addition of flour. The pasta was good just when you eat the truffle together but there were not enough truffle to eat all the pasta.

Maybe we caught this place on a bad day. Tables were dirty, service was slow, unfriendly and erratic. It was a struggle to get a coffee and we gave up on water after asking twice. In the end we decided not to order brunch, because the service was poor and also because the menu is exclusively “vegan junk”, nothing that resembles a “veggy” at Veggy Buddy, all fake meat, fake eggs, pancakes and such. Fine if that’s your bag, but we are vegans that actually like eating plants, nuts, seeds, grains etc.

Lovely Vegan find in Rome, plenty of variety and options in the menu.
Read moreOrdered Nuggets for starter which were great, and Carbona for main which was also very good! Desert was pizzetta with chocolate and hazelnut which was a nice change for desert.
Could be considered a little pricey but we enjoyed our meal and felt the service was accommodating for those who don't speak much Italian.
Would happily come back!
