Yum yum!

Arrived at 8am on a Sunday. Had the flapjack latte with soy milk, iced. This was so delicious. I don’t like coffee and it didn’t have a strong coffee flavor, it was sweet.
I had the breakfast sandwich that was phenomenal. The “egg” was tasty, the aoli was yummy, the bread was so soft it wAs like eating a cloud. I loved the whole thing.
First time here, maybe it’s how they operate, or maybe pandemic style, but you order inside and pick up food inside, not much of a wait staff.

Pros: Everything vegan., Lots of options, Easy to get to from downtown

Missing this!

My friends and I visited Brunch Birds both days we were in Austin. It was that fantastic! It was by far the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had. I don’t quite remember what I ordered, but I just remember feeling tingles down my spine with each bite. Can’t believe this place is closed!

Pros: All vegan, plenty of options, Mouthwatering food, Friendly staff

Cons: Food took a while to receive

Best breakfast ever

The stuffed French toast with the blueberry cream cheese was life changing and the lumberjack sandwich could have fooled any omnivore. This breakfast was incredible. We had both items with the gluten free bread option and it was so so good.

My omni friend said it was one of the best breakfasts she’s ever had!

Off the charts!!!

By far the best vegan breakfast/brunch I’ve had to date; they also had packaged baked goods from Zucchini Kill (vegan/GF bakery)!!!

if you like brunch…you can’t skip this place

the best brunch i’ve ever had in my 8 years of being vegan! the eggs benedict had super realistic tasting bacon(at least, it tasted like ham) and the runny egg was pretty close to the real thing. the biscuits and gravy are also a must try! the stuffed french toast wasn’t soaked enough for my liking but it was still good, and the mozzarella sticks did not disappoint

Brunch, All Vegan, All Day

Happy to have found this, brunch is my favorite meal! Late in day, in Austin, and wanting fast vegan to go. Casual atmosphere. Artsy. Fast, friendly, delicious. Full bar. Will definitely go back and try the dine in experience.

It’s a vegan place. Not a great one

I was super pumped to get some stuffed French toast. But it was more of a lightly sauced situation. My friend got the texas breakfast burger and said it was a “mad okay”. My matcha was earthy and delicious and the carrot cupcake is a 4.75/5. The vibes in the restaurant are immaculate, and I hope some of the other food options are better.

Delicious!

Got the stuffed French toast, gravy potatoes, and side of scrambled eggs. Everything was super good! The French toast wasn’t soaked very long in the batter so it wasn’t super soft. All the flavors were very good and the staff was super nice! Also, got some pastry snacks to go!

My favorite brunch place

Their eggs Benny with runny "yolk" were amazing. Full of flavor. And my husband really enjoyed Farmer John even tho he is the complete opposite of vegan.

Pros: Amazing vegan options, Lots of flavor , Great option for both vegan and non vegan people

A Favorite Recommendation

I got the Eggs Benny here and it was delicious. I didn't know a vegan version could be so good. My favorite breakfast place ever and I'll definitely be back often!

Vegan brunch

It’s good and pretty much what you would expect for vegan breakfast/brunch. They didn’t have certain items when I ordered (evening) but the sandwich I got was still great and filling.

Really tasty

We came here for lunch today and the food was very tasty. The burger was definitely the best thing out of what we had although the chicken biscuits were good too. Nice chilled atmosphere as well.

Great food and drinks!

Had the Eggs Benny with fruit (the sauce you see under it in the photo is Tabasco I added), the honee badger with oat milk, and a matcha latte with coconut. Everything was fantastic, definitely recommend!

A bastille of bonism to bar the borborygmus.

Now moved to East 7th Street. On-premises parking can fill up during busy hours but street parking is available nearby.

The food was delicious

We got the eggs Benny and a chicken biscuit that were both amazing. They were filling and we didn’t really need a side to go with it. We did get the breakfast potatoes which were good but I personally wasn’t crazy about them. The OJ also tasted a little watered down but the almond milk latte was awesome. I’d actually give them 4.5 stars if it let me.

Delicious breakfast items

The breakfast items will make you think you’re not eating a vegan meal. So delicious and any non-vegan would love the food! I’ve had the Farmer John twice now - both times gluten free - and it is spot on deliciously amazing. For me it’s so much food that it becomes two meals. There are a few tables inside and more tables outside with umbrellas to provide shade. I recommend this place to anyone looking for vegan meal - especially vegan and gluten free!

To find it look for the River City Market. It’s inside the market.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Lots of gluten free options , Fast service

Cons: Parking can be a challenge , Closes at 3pm - too early for late eaters, No signage from road that’s clear it’s inside

Like real Canadian bacon!!

We stopped here on our way out of Austin and I’m so glad we did! This was quite possibly our favorite food spot of our entire month-long road trip. It’s a bit difficult to find because it’s inside of a convenient store, but totally worth it. My Canadian partner said it’s called “back bacon” but as an American I always called it “Canadian bacon” 🤣 And they have the best here!! I don’t know how they do it but it tastes, looks and feels exactly like the real thing. We ordered eggs benedict and the lumber jack, both with side salads. I don’t know what they used to make the “egg yolks” on top of the benedict, but what an awesome presentation 👏🏽 The flavors of the lumber jack were incredible - the perfect combination of sweet, savory, smokey, cheesy - this was the best dish. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. When we complimented the food, they thanked us for letting them cook for us ❤️

Pros: Incredible flavors, Amazing presentation, Friendly staff

Best breakfast in Austin

No joke! My daughter took us there on our first day of a 7 day visit to Austin. Since we are all vegan, we usually try different vegan restaurants each day. This was the only ore we visited 3 days for brunch.

Pros: Best pancakes ever! Also loved biscuits&gravy, Farmer John’s sandwich was my wife’s favorite , Staff are very friendly and remember you.
