The Best French Toast Ever - Edit
The bread and chocolate was unbelievable. Definitely a must try and very filling. Make sure to get a side of syrup. The sandwich was excellent, the dressing has a fair amount of heat to it.

Great little place! - Edit
We went in for a morning snack and were so excited by the menu, we went back for lunch the same day. The food was really good and it was a great way to try local dishes, vegan-style. The portions were good, the prices reasonable, and the staff really nice.

Excellent vegan breakfast - Edit
We ate here last March for breakfast while stopped on the cruise. The food is excellent. We had the sunshine pancakes with maple syrup and the breakfast scramble plate. Both were very good. Very unexpected to find such great vegan food on Grand Cayman.

Would give 6 stars if I could! - Edit
This place is probably my favorite restaurant on the cayman islands. I bought their pancakes for breakfast and also got the island bowl like others have recommended, and like they have said, is the best thing you can get on the menu. The tofu in it specifically is seasoned with garlic and other spices and goes well with the other ingredients.

Bread and Chocolate - Edit
Cute little cafe close to the cruise terminal and centre of town. Nice staff. I went with the sunshine pancake which was delicious, huge (I couldn’t finish it!) and was served with table syrup. If you want maple it’s available as an extra. Oat milk latte was very tasty too.

Amazing vegan food with great island vibes - Edit
Wow, this place just happened to fall into my lap. Searching for “best lunch” when arriving in Grand Cayman and this place showed up.
Read moreBread and chocolate is a great island cafe, the owners were so kind and friendly, and the food and selections were outstanding. They have breakfast/brunch foods and a great menu for lunch.
Started with the CONK (like conch) fritters, which was COconut, Nori and Kale with a scotch bonnet aioli. They were lightly fried, perfectly crispy and a great start.
I got the island bowl which was a base of quinoa(brown rice was a sub as well), sautéed kale, black beans, shaved beets, red onions, jerk marinated tofu, carrots and plantains. I drown mine with their housemade hot sauce. I opted for the XL size which was a huge amount of food, and I’m a big guy.
My wife got the Angus Beet burger, which was a great rendition of a beet burger with pickapeppa infused beets, brown rice and lentil burger. The photos to wedges were massive, cooked to perfection and seasoned so well.
They offer sweets and drinks too but we will do stuffed.

Awesome! - Edit
I arrived in Grand Cayman on my cruise ship and realized I had yet to research vegan options for lunch in town. I checked Happy Cow and was pleasantly surprised to see a fully vegan restaurant about a 2 minute walk from the shopping area I was in, and even more excited when I saw all of the 5 star reviews. Its a small cafe, and I was greeted right away and informed I was at a fully vegan restaurant, to which I replied, “That’s why I’m here!” The menu had a ton of options, and it wasn’t all health food, which is always nice to see, but there were still healthy options on the menu as well. I asked my waiter if he recommended the Impossible burger or the black bean tacos, and he said to get the burger, so I also ordered it “Mac’d Up,” which meant it was kind of in the style of a Big Mac. There was a local man called “Gucci” hanging out in there, so this isn’t just a touristy place. I had a great time chatting with Gucci, and the food made the experience even better! My burger did not taste “vegan” at all! I also got a chocolate chip cookie for dessert, which was very delicious. I highly recommend this place if you ever visit the island! It was not cheap by any means, but I don’t think it was too far off from other restaurants in the area.

Steps for the cruise terminal Gem of the Caribbean. - Edit
What an incredible find. So sorry we missed this on a previous visit. Small little cage offering far more than bread and chocolate. Incredible sandwiches. I highly recommend the pulled pork which was savory with a sweet taste. Add a little of their hot sauce to let the flavors explode. The seitan cheesesteak had Smokey bold flavor with perfect seitan and just the right amount of sauce. Foods where fresh prepared and not processed. If coming off the cruise ships stop by for an incredible adventure in taste.

10 out of a 10 - Edit
We both had a great experience at Bread and Chocolate Vegan Bistro. I had the french toast which was the best I have had in a very long time. I could have split the plate for two, but then I had left overs for the next day. The ice cream was to die for. Did not even need the maple syrup. The fresh fruit was a nice flavor with the chocolate hazelnut butter. My husband had the Mexican bowl and loved all of it. Even asked the chief about the way we cooked the plantain, because it was so good. Need to spent a lot more time in this Bistro. The staff was so accommodating when we wanted to move for a little more space between costumers. The staff checked up on us through out our meal to see if we needed anything else. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Adorable cafe with delicious food! - Edit
The food here is great, definitely try the conch fritters. My husband has visited Cayman every year for over 20 years and said they were as good as the real thing. The portions are definitely large so if you’re not super hungry you could probably spilt a main dish and be happy. They have fresh juice, lattes and vegan baked goods for taking to go if you don’t want a full meal. We’ve visited several times and have throughly enjoyed our meal each time.

Amazing - Edit
A vegan, vegetarian, and non-veg agree: Amazing! We got the "conch" fritters, double impossible burger, island bowl, and of course the bread and chocolate! Eveyone loved what they got, but the island bowl was a real crowd pleaser. The bread and chocolate, whch is a french toast, was also amazing and probably wouldve been the fav if we went for breakfast instead of lunch. Big servings, so filling, so delicious. For desert the peanut butter cups were the best. Great server, nice casual space, limited seating. My favorite restaurant on Grand Cayman! Second favorite is Island Naturals, Third favorite Vivo!

The one and only pure vegan place in Cayman. Cafe vibe run by Remi offering stratospheric tastiness.. i had their fab Buddha bowl and faux conch as starter. All sorts of Caribbean flavours and regional classic veganised... like pulled porkless sliders and bags of scotch bonnet heat. Local Kombucha is great
