A pleasant surprise in Tofino - Edit
I wasn't expecting to come across a vegan restaurant in Tofino, let alone a great one. But here it is! The food was tasty, filling, affordable, and creative. Try one of the brunch items!

Best Place to Eat in Tofino - Edit
Food is vegan, creative, and delicious. Breakfast looks awesome (after 10 am), the dinners are hearty, tasty, and made for a variety of vegan tastes.

Something for everyone - Edit
We visited with a group of omnivores and vegans and everyone really enjoyed their food. It’s a pretty low key and casual place but the food is really top notch. The cauliflower wings were a hit as well as our mains. I loved the faux fish and chips, burgers went down well. We enjoyed it so much we returned for brunch which also did not disappoint. The bennys were all great and the waffles were also a nice sweet option. We were served by Sierra who was chatty and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend!

Every option on the menu sounds good so it’s hard to choose what to get, I went with the beyond sausage breakfast and everything on the plate was cooked well and tasted delicious.

Ate there every day for 3 day trip - yes, it really is that nice and comfortable! Dishes were exciting, deserts were just too good - especially the fried banana with sorbet - yum! Service was prompt and friendly, seating areas were spacious and inviting. Would definitely recommend and we'll be eating there for sure during our next trip!

Delicious vegan options. They serve beyond round, cashew and vegan cheese. Vegan burgers also available. Everything was delicious!!!
Read moreOne thing I was disappointed to learn is that the Tofino brewery beers use isinglass in their filtration, so they are not vegetarian friendly. I would expect vegetarian business to know that and not offer that on their menu.

I think since they've updated their drinks menu to vegan and non vegan alcohol options since I remember seeing a vegan section of the drinks menu marked.

Mixed results but tasty regardless - Edit
The food was pretty good! The avocado tacos had great flavor but not enough texture (needed some crunch) and pretty small for cost. The flour tortillas may have been stale along the edges or oddly prepared - but something was off there. Cauliflower wings were a big disappointment. Smell was terrific - but soggy, and lacking in flavor despite that great smell. CauliWings much better at other spots. However the best vegan ranch I’ve ever had. I’ll certainly go back though - lots of great sounding items on the menu.

Margarita was delicious, Bravo salad was super yummy and healthy! Ended up accidentally ordering real cheese on my macaroni, wasn’t super clear that it wasn’t vegan. Even without the real cheese, wouldn’t order the macaroni again.

A Delightful Find at the Northernmost End of Vancouver Island - Edit
Venture to the furthest north of Vancouver Island & you would be delighted to find Bravocados, a vegan & vegetarian restaurant in Tofino, BC. Their entire menu is vegetarian, with a majority of the items being vegan or at least, having a vegan option. Many gluten-free options are available as well. Some of the vegan offerings include Cauliflower Wings, Tacos, Pulled “Pork” Burger & waffles. They serve the Beyond Burger too. I am also pleased to find out that all their waffles are vegan. Hurrah!

Cons: not fully vegan yet

It’s the westernmost, not Northernmost. It’s only about half way up the island - can drive many many more hours north on the island?

Great find! - Edit
A bit upscale-pub vibe, we went twice on the weekend and really liked the food. The music was a bit loud one evening (though they did offer to turn it down) and the seating is limited. But the cauliflower wings, tacos, and burgers were great. We tried both desserts: the black bean brownie was a little dense for me but my husband loved it. I loved the dessert apple pie waffle. We’d definitely go back since the menu was varied enough. Would have loved to see a non-alcoholic drink that was interesting as the food for dinner (not a smoothie). Would have also loved to see a savoury waffle option but that’s getting nit-picky.

What a find! - Edit
A total gem at the tip of Vancouver Island. Started with cauliflower ‘wings’, two varieties. Both were amazing. One of our party had the vegetarian option which they said was great. The rest of us ate Vegan. The artichoke burger was very good- my other half wants to try and recreate it now we are home in England. We also had the jackfruit burger- the member of our party who ate it (he is a meat eater) said it was a game changer and he would eat plant based all the time if he could get food like that. Finished off wit Vegan waffles.

Careful for vegan upcharge - Edit
The food is creative and delicious. The one thing I didn't like was asking "is it possible to get vegan cheese in my falafel quesadilla", the server responding "sure, no problem", and nowhere on the menu did it say there would be an upcharge, he didn't say there'd be an upcharge, and when the bill came I was charged an extra $3 for the tiniest sprinkling of cheese on my HALF ORDER. Vegans beware, and ask questions.

SharieMarieMinions
Hi Krimaro, sorry to read this! This would have been an error by our server as there is no charge at our restaurant for subbing vegan cheese. We only charge if someone adds cheese to a meal but the quesadilla would have already had cheese so you should not have been charged. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will review this with your server Colin (we only have one male server so easy to know who lol). Thanks for visiting and we hope you come back. If you’re local please reach out via Facebook message and we’d love to have you in for a free appy.
