Hands down, the vegan cheese is amazing at blackbird! So is the food, the tortellini in particular is perfectly cooked. When in Gothenburg, don’t miss Blackbird!

Been a regular since the opening. The food is alright, but a little bit on the simple side. Think bar/pub food, i.e fried stuff etc.

It’s great food for people who likes traditional dishes with a twist! Amazing food and both me and my non-vegan partner loved it. We ate their ”fish” and a tempeh-tofu bowl. The menu is changing though so it May not be available anymore :)

We loved our meals at Blackbird. Only complaint was mine had too much seitan in it and was lacking veggies. Still very tasty and lovely atmosphere. Our meat eating friends were satisfied too :)

Hip and genuine atmosphere, changing menus with surprising, creative and always tasty dishes, great staff. Everything I have eaten here was great, the vegan cheese was the best I ever had, and every evening I spent here was really nice!
Read moreGood prices for what you get, but could use a simple&cheap option. Not too much to choose from, they usually have 3 main dishes on the menu, which changes regularly. Often is quite busy and can feel a bit crammed, but I can understand that so many people want to eat here! :D
If you visit Gothenburg, you should eat here.

Eating at Blackbird is a great experience. The food is delicious and well made, the small place with lit candles and friendly staff is the perfect cosy place - whether you go on a date, with friends, with colleagues or by yourself. I love how the menu is set and that the price is very affordable, especially for such great food. Thumbs up!

Blackbird serves wonderful food with various dishes. I've eaten there a mushroom pie, heavenly burrito (an all time favourite!!), summer rolls and the cheese platter. Everything is very, very tasty and delicious. Big portions. Remeber to book a table, it's always full.

The burrito (don’t expect a standard burrito) and mushroom cream sauce tortellini were both very good but very heavy.

Decoration in The Blackbird is just magnificent, it is simple but in a good taste: punk/metal posters and scratched tables in combination with a little bit dark environment bring a cosy atmosphere (kvällsmys).
Do make a table reservation to be sure that you can get one.

Blackbird is one of the few restaurants that I always return to occasionally. Their vegan food is homemade, delicious, and sometimes almost too similar to dairy- or meat products. The prices are fair and definitely worth a visit.

The food at blackbird is very good and the location is great. Although it’s a bit overpriced. I was a bit disappointed at their Christmas buffet and that one was quite expensive. But for a regular meal, I’d say you have to try it.

I would say this is the best vegan restaurant in Gothenburg that I've tried so far. The dishes are quite unique with vegan cuisine in mind. The food is not really expensive but definitely not cheap.
