Would highly recommend this place to both local and visiting vegans. I got the best vegan “goat cheese” of my life here. The food they serve at the counter is nothing special, but the deli section alone makes it worth the visit.

Read moreWhere else can you find vegan soft serve? I am from Europe and I have never seen vegan soft serve before. So while staying in LA we made this day trip to this area just for this ice cream. And it tastes wonderful! Just like I remember it from the past.
The hotdogs were also great, maybe a bit small for that price, but very tasty.

We bought dundies marshmallows which were really good. Than we ordered the vegan hot dogs and soft serve. The soft serve was huge and tasted amazing and the hot dogs were very tasty as well.

I love that everything is vegan and that's about it. everything's overpriced and the made to eat food is so discusting. its horrible. I would never go back. I ordered the chili hot dog in the mozzarella sticks. They were so discusting.🤢 I was starving and still couldnt finish them. they get 2 stars because they're entirely vegan. other than that I wouldn't come back here and please do not take any non vegan here cause are gonna think all vegan food taste this bad.

I'll preface this review by saying I only visited the shop once and that I'm still beating myself up for making the mistake of not going back.
Read moreBesties really lives up to the vegan paradise name, they have all of the vegan specialty foods you could think of. Sure, it's not exactly cheap, but the price is not that different from what supermarkets charge for the same vegan items and here you have the advantage of supporting a local business.
Besides having a wide array of products, the store was super organized and the staff was really nice.

I remember my first time at besties I thought man this is cool a vegan convenience store that’s a nice gimmick in Hollywood. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Not only is the staff full fledged vegans but they are knowledgeable about EVERYTHING and have grown tremendously over the course of a year. This is now an ABSOLUTE MUST STOP destination for anyone vegan or not it is a judgment free zone with people ready to help and answer all of your questions. Please do yourself a favor and visit this store you won’t regret it. Especially plan your trip on one of the “pop ups” they curate throughout the week where the collaborate with other vegan brands to bring delicious food trucks out for the community.

BESTIES is rad. All vegan “corner” market with neighborhood vibe. They carry a lot of local foods, too. Everything is prepackaged - there’s no fresh produce. I’d love to see organic produce too someday. Vegan snacks and specialty items galore. Karma Bakery has a desert case! Jules Truffle Brie in the deli case! Also there: do not miss the nozzarella sticks. They are always changing and bringing in different items. And they have food truck and vendor parties regularly.

Great spot to get vegan essentials, junk food, some unique & local items, etc. What I imagine was the owner was extremely nice, great to chat with, & gave us some cool stickers. Now if only we can get one in DTLA too!
