Awesome!!

Great food, nice atmosphere, great view, highly recommend! We also stayed at the Adang Eco Village, that the restaurant belongs to, so we had breakfast included and had a couple of lunches/dinners as well. I would recommend staying there, not just because the food is so close, but it also has a nice relatively quiet beach and great snorkling waters just a few meters away. If you stay somewhere else on the island, it's only about a 10 min walk from the main street. Especially the spaghetti no-meatballs is really great, but also no-chicken tacos and burgers.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good price/quality, Great location

Greatest green curry on the island.

This place is beautiful. The food is generous, nourishing and made with love. The staff are kind and sincere. The atmosphere is super chill & comfy and the restaurant is named after Benny, a super sweet and playful bulldog. Loved this place!

Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere, Great staff

The BEST tasting vegan food we have found on our travels so far!

We were so pleased we walked out to visit this place. After reading a few reviews saying it was hard to get to, we were a little pessimistic, but seriously guys - it took us 7 minutes from Walking Street (up a big hill at the end but that was great exercise!) - all paved road and you just walk down through the Adang Sea Eco-Village Resort. When we were ready to go home, it was dark and I was full so the lovely lady behind the bar even offered to call us a taxi (she asked boat or motorbike so that was awesome to know we had the choice!!)

Ok now to the main bit - THE FOOD!! I had the burger, my boyfriend had the tacos and a side of Benny's Fries - both were insane and we still cannot agree on which was our favourite. My boyfriend has allergies also btw and this can be difficult travelling, so we asked the lady (sorry can't remember her name!) and she pulled a folder out from the bar with exact ingredient listings for each dish!! Awesome!! My burger was juicy and nutty and well seasoned and HUGE - great value for money here!! My boyfriends tacos were super tasty (the little he shared with me) - and again a huge portion for the money you pay!! Lipe is really expensive for everything from travel to rooms and food; we found this place the best value for money given that they don't serve meat or animal products; others we tried were EXPENSIVE!

The rest - The beach is incredible, beautiful beautiful sunset views (we visited Sunset Beach the day before which was full of trash ad mosquitoes and didn't actually have good sunset views - weird) The staff were lovely and kind and fun and informative - couldn't ask for better service! The music was awesome and appropriate, bathroom/shower facilities clean and super cute made from bamboo (also v impressed they don't give you toilet paper as I would find an 'eco' place super hypocritical giving out loo roll on an island!!)

Conclusion - we love this place so much and will definitely be visiting again. We plan to stay in their rooms and eat here everyday (other guests told us the breakfasts are YUM). They told us they just opened a new place too on Sunrise Beach (Sunrise Restaurant) but we didn't have enough time to visit. NEXT time :-)

Pros: Delicious Food with fair prices, Lovely and happy staff, BEST view of Sunset

Nice veggie place

I stayed at their accommodation which I really recommend. It’s good having easy access to vegan food on one of the few places in Thailand where I’ve not found as many vegan options. I found it quite expensive so only had the backpacker bowl for 100 baht and some drinks. They have some deals on so can be more affordable if you’re in a group. Atmosphere is really nice, the beach is lovely and they play good music. Staff are very friendly. Free drinking water

Pros: Everything can be vegan , Nice atmosphere

Cons: A little pricey

Great food, but awkward to get to

We came here several times over a few days in Koh Lipe. It's a great place to hang out for a few hours, with free cold water on tap, tasty food and drinks, and friendly staff. We had the backpacker bowl (cheap curry with rice and roti) and the burger multiple times and enjoyed both. Price is on par with or, in the case of the backpacker bowl, cheaper than everywhere else on the island.

2 out of 3 times the curry (which I assume they change daily) was one of the best tasting things I'd had in a while.

If the tide is in, this is an unusually difficult place to get to. We tried to reach it from mountain view resort and sunset beach during high tide and in both instances it led to a very long road-side detour. During low tide you can walk from either sunrise or sunset beach and reach this little cove. That does mean during high tide it enjoys its own private beach. They even provide free access to inflatables to enjoy floating on the sea.

Pros: Great sunset spot, Area to lie down, Free water and inflatables

Cons: Difficult to reach when tide is high, Bum gun only toilets

Very nice spot

The place is really amazing. A little hidden gem in KL. The fresh juices are very good, but all the mains we tried were pretty average and quite expensive. Everything was a bit dry, not super tasty and very simple. It is nice to find some vegan option in the island though, and the place definitely worth the try.

Hidden gem

Super chilled place to watch the sunset, had the Backpacker's Bowl for 100Thb which was very filling. Fresh shakes and smoothies and friendly staff, too.

Pros: Sunset, chilled vibe

A hidden gem! Great vegan food with magnificent sunset views

Luckily found Benny's on the Beach thanks to an ad on a Koh Lipe map - they weren't on Happy Cow! (I've now added them :))

Just opened in Oct 2018 apparently, this great place is off the beaten track, on an end of Sunset Beach.

Not an extensive menu - all the offerings were listed on a board - but there were plenty of choices for our group. I had a burger and we tried a few other options too, e.g. spring rolls, fried rice, not-meat balls. All were tasty! I also loved their Thaijito - a mojito made with a local spirit.

Amazing venue - could sit at tables/chairs, but we opted to sit on a mat and casual chairs on the sand. A perfect spot for viewing the incredible sunset while we ate and drank.

Friendly staff, and a really special place. So glad we found it!

A tip for getting there - we tried to walk along Sunset beach, but ran into rocks that were *really* hard to navigate (maybe it was high tide, no idea). The best way is to come down from the road, which is the way we left the restaurant, through their accommodation/bungalows.
