Vegan Italian in Ubud - Edit
We ate at Bella by Sage twice on our trip to Ubud. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. We tried the calzone, BBQ pizza, veggie pizza, mac and cheese, and cauliflower wings. Everything was very tasty and reasonably priced. They do have a happy hour from 3 to 4:30 where some menu items are half price. Take-away is available.

Delicious vegan food. You have to try everything from the menu, especially the burger, the calzone pizza, the barbeque cauliflower wings and the coconut cake. Nice ambiance and very polite personal.

We had a Mezze plate with various hummus dips and naan bread. Pretty good!
As main we choose gnocchi with a mushroom cream sauce and the ‚trio‘ pizza with pesto, tomato, cashewsauce and „mozzarella“-cheese.
We enjoyed both our dishes, but for us Europeans they didn’t really taste Italian, they had an exotic twist to it (coconut cheese on the pizza made it kinda sweet, gnocchi tasted more like fried potato dumplings) - but nevertheless yummy!
We also enjoyed some fresh green ice tea and a chocolate mint smoothie - both very tasty, too.
We had a nice chat with on of the employees as well.
What wasn’t ideal was that we got the pizza and Mezze plate first, followed by the gnocchi.
So I started eating my pizza and the starter, while my husband only had the starter.
But wasn’t such of a big deal.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! Super cute interior and the food.. I mean come on man! It was soooooooo good! Honestly the best I’ve ever had! We had the bruscetta and buffalo cauliflower wings as starter and seriously, those wings, they are to die for! Then I had the vegan lasagna with tofu ricotta and pesto, this was also sooo good! It’s not easy to find a good vegan lasagna, well: found it! My boyfriend had the bbq jackfruit pizza. He’s not used to eating vegan and thought it was good as well, a bit spicy. I also took a piece of it and in my opinion it was super yumm as well! Then I took a piece of brownie to take away.

Read moreI didn't like the galaxy color changing limonade that much. The pasta (no salt in the pasta water) and the mezze plate (hard to eat as the hummus was not tasty) and the risotto (very liquidy) are all just about ok. I would recommend ordering the pizza.
I wouldn't go for the burger, bruschetta and onion rings, but that's preference.

It was definitely a splurge meal for us, but so worth it! Incredible menu, atmosphere and staff. My meat-eating companion loved the BBQ Burger and lettuce wraps, and I was still dreaming of the Farmer's pizza days after.

Even though going to an italian restaurant in Ubud may sound a bit strange, it is absolutely worth it. They offer a full italian menu starting at the antipasti until the deserts. The atmosphere is very nice and we experienced an amazing service, as the waiter was super friendly, fast and caring. Also the food is delicious!

I was a little weary about getting Italian food in Ubud but I’m so glad we decided to stop in and try Bella. The restaurant is beautiful and everything we had was absolutely delicious! We tried the buffalo cauliflower wings, trio pizza and mushroom risotto. The portions were very good for the price!

The space is wonderful and the staff are so lovely. Happy Hour is now from 3-4:30 p.m. and it’s 50% off all the drinks, starters, salads and pizzas - such a good deal. The pizza dough is not great (way too chewy and bread-like), but the crust to sauce ratio is good and the cheese sauce is nice (tasted strongly of coconut to me, but I like that).

Thinking about going to Zest? Stop right there! If you’re looking for actual delicious food you should think again and go to Bella instead, located just around the corner from there.
Read moreLong story short: I LOVE this place. It has the best cauliflower wings I’ve ever had and the pizza crust is just wow. The staff is SO nice and friendly. We came back several times just for the cauli wings. Out of the pizzas I’d say the Trio pizza is the very best.
If you come here I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

We stopped by this restaurant as an early dinner option. The happy hour specials were extremely well priced and the food was very delicious. The cauliflower wings were so good I even considered ordering more. The BBQ jackfruit pizza could of done with more sauce but over all I would order it again.

This place has the most tasty, fresh and good quality food I have ever eaten. They put in so much effort for their food and it’s obvious. We had the farmers pizza and the pizza base was perfect as well as the toppings, particularly capsicum, being super fresh and tasty. The spaghetti meatballs was also delicious. The the Oreo cake was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also chilled and the fit out was beautiful.

We had taro gnocchi, calzone, burger, cauliflower wings and Oreo cake and everything was delicious. (Wings were the winner) Friendly stuff and quick service. The only downs side was they don’t have a high chair for babies and doesn’t serve bottled water (only two water they have)

Beautiful quiet setting arranged with care. Very tasty vegan food with many GF options including pizza and pasta. Generous portions and offerings ‘not-sarella cheese’ on the pizzas. The cauliflower buffalo wings were crispy, chewy and spicy and delicious. The rainforest cocoa smoothie is one of the best tried with a perfect balance of flavours. This is an example of how you do Italian vegan food right. The chef creates delicious pastas and the food display is outstanding. Great vegan menu, lots to choose from. We had the Bruschetta and the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings as starters and they were out of this world. For the main course we ordered, Taro Gnocchi and the Mushroom Broccoli Fettuccini Alfredo. We left full and satisfied. One of the best places in Bali to eat Vegan. Also try their mocktails!
