Delicious cakes and food - Edit
This Beatnic is quite large and pleasant, well-located on one of Boston's main thoroughfares. If you don't want to or can't eat there, at least go for their "brookies", cookies and other sweet cakes - they're amazing. If you can eat there, don't hesitate to get the cauliflower poppers, they're to die for. I also tried a burger that was very good, though not the best I've ever had. It lacked a little sauce, but that's easily compensated for with the sauce for the fries.

Was sad to miss By Chloe that used to be here but Beatnic did not disappoint. Your order at the counter and they’ll bring out your order- fast casual style. There’s a water spot to refill water bottles. We had the lobstah rolls and Buffalo cauliflower wings- delicious!

Loved the venue and the area, would happily visit here again. Fast food style with takeaway and eat in available. The suspended chairs in the window overlooking the pretty street were popular! I opted for the Chicky Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries. The ‘chicky’ is made from jackfruit which is usually not my fave but this was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp, it also arrived pretty quickly with very little wait. The dessert options for me were a bit lacking, could be a wider choice available. Prices were reasonable.

Visiting the US East Coast in March, we found ourselves in Back Bay, Boston for one night. We were deterred from the Vegan Thai restaurant in Chinatown by the Happy Cow report of dirty facilities so it was a toss up between a local Indian restaurant and Beatnic and we chose the latter as it was all vegan.
Read moreI had a burger with fries and my wife had a Kale Caesar salad, which she was very pleased with. The Burger was OK, as were the air-cooked fries but, overall, the sandwich/burger side of things was pretty ordinary.
There were a few possibilities for desserts, basically along the cookie/brownie road, which were fine but rather too sweet for our tastes.
So, overall, the food was ordinary, passable but unspectacular with the salads being the best bet. Service was very friendly and helpful so no complaints there.
Most of the clientele were youngsters and there were quite a few people who had called in to order a take-out and that is the feel of the place: it is as if you order a takeaway but sit at a table to eat it. We had visited By Chloe in London a few years' ago and had been surprised that all the plates, dishes, knives, forks and spoons were made of disposable plastic. I was less surprised for that to be the case in the USA but I do nonetheless find it incongruous for a restaurant offering a menu with an ethical message to be encouraging a throwaway culture. .

Super yummy food but it is expensive. I paid $11 for a sandwich I ate quickly but it was very yummy. Go here for the occasional vegan treat but making it your daily lunch might not be the move.

Stopped here while visiting Boston. I got the jackfruit chicky dippers with buffalo sauce, Mac and cheese, and the balsamic broccoli. All 3 dishes were delicious. I love that they air fry the “fried food” so it isn’t greasy. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Boston.

Always felt weird about how things went down with Chef Chloe but I've been eating at Beatnic since I first tried it in NYC. The NY locations seem busier and slightly better. I've had more than one scrumptious breakfast, which they serve daily there. When I worked near Boylston St I'd stop in for the Mexican quinoa taco salad, guac burger, fry combo (genius! Of course I want both.) and Mac n cheese. Tasty cupcakes and cookies too. My meat eating and fickle friend loved it so that's something.

I personally was just looking for something which felt more fresh. I got the green goddess bowl and the dressing on the salad was quite greasy and very salty. The burgers however are really good. I think this place is better for dinner than lunch.
