Best In The Area

I get so overwhelmed looking at all vegan menus. I have a take out menu that I been checking off because I want to try the whole menu. My favorite of the starters so far is the scallion pancake with mango salsa, but after last time I'm thinking of changing my favorite to the crispy soy protein nuggets or maybe the the salt & peeper king oyster mushrooms I decide. I love the mango salad the for the dressing it is sooo good, you can tell they make it from scratch although the size is disappointing. I haven't found a main that is a favorite of mine yet but there all pretty good. I didn't like the Singapore noodles but that was mostly because my dislike of curry powder. For desert the ice cream was a bit too icy for my taste but the cheese cake was on point. Its also nice that you don"t have to deal with Boston traffic. Bayberry is the only fully vegan restaurant in Middlesex County that I don"t have to take i-93 to get to.

Pros: totally vegan menu, beautiful presentation, location

Cons: expensive, small portions

Want to try more!

Quaint and unassuming, nestled away in the heart of Main St, Woburn, Bayberry is a haven not only for vegetarian and vegan cultists, but also Asian food lovers, alike.

The menu is sprawling all over the Asian continent, offering starters, mains, and lunch specials, alongside fresh pressed juices and smoothies. I dug the "Red Storm", comprised of carrots, apples, ginger, and beets.

The vegetable crispy tofu wraps were a decent table setter, crispy fried bites - a bit overdone, and I had NO clue what was in them so they were a bit oddly textured. I wouldn't get them again, but they're weren't bad. For an entree, I opted for the Malaysian Curry stew which boasts soy protein (remincient of turkey medallions) potatoes, carrots and broccoli in a delicuous thick, yet light curry broth - bursting with flavor. This was the highlight of the meal.

Overall, I feel it may take some finesse to find my "go to" at Bayberry, but this was a pretty darn good start. Will be back to try more!

Pros: Vast menu, Flavorful options, Off street parking

Great Experience!

Will definitely be back! Everything we tried was delicious with possible exception of the Pad Thai and I probably should have known a vegan version was a tall order. However, even that was still good and I enjoyed it. I'm new to this style of food and the waitress was very helpful in explaining some of the things I wasn't familiar with. I particularly liked that the seitan skewers came with a legit, and delicious salad. The scallion pancake was also delicious.

Pros: Lots of vegan choices!, Great Staff, Nice atmosphere

A hidden jem!

I’m in love with this little restaurant in downtown Woburn. Everything on the menu is 100% vegan and delicious. The menu is varied with plenty of options and I’ve yet to be disappointed with an order. They also have dessert (cakes and ice cream) and smoothies.

good Alternative

Tasty scallion pancakes! I love many of the appetizers. I did not like the General gau chicken. It tastes too much like chicken. I was not impressed. I will be back and try more options.

A delicious and affordable find North of Boston!

We are were delighted to find Bay Berry looking for vegan take out North of Boston. Everything was 5 stars and delicious. For starters we had the pan fried dumplings and the scallion pancakes. Both were awesome, but those scallion pancakes were epic - they came with this heavenly mango salsa. For entrees we enjoyed the black pepper seitan and the green curry tofu and loved every bite. Lots of fresh veggies, sauce and seasonings were balanced just right. The entree came with miso soup or salad and we chose miso soup which was super fresh with lovely bits of tofu, mushrooms and seaweed. All this excellent food and only $40. We will definitely be ordering from Bay Berry again, they do a great job!

Pros: Great food, Great price , Take out was easy to order and fast

Scallion Pancake Obsession

Love this place!!! And really easy to get to if your traveling on 95. Easy easy pull over, too easy. I often can smell the dumplings from the highway and can’t resist! Also, I’ve brought hardcore meat eaters here and they loved it. Wonderful staff and awesome food.

Pros: vegan everything , scallion pancakes are epic , desert menue!

New customers. Very delicious!

For starters we tried the steamed dumplings, salt & pepper king oyster mushrooms (a little too salty) and curry samosas. Main dish- sweet & sour sesame soy protein. Dessert- Mango & Green tea ice-cream (very good) with Tiramisu (reminded us of Tres Leches). Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try out vegan food! Great customer service as well.

Pros: tasty, wide variety menu, nice quiet location

Most flavorful !!!!

Best well rounded flavors. Everything we had was spectacular. (Samosas, veggie rolls, tempura, pineapple fried rice, pan fried dumplings and scallion pancakes) nothing we ate was sub par. Everything was delicious. We are from California so finding this little gem of a place in a small town was a spectacular find. We will be back next year.

Fantastic!

The food is incredible! The vegetable tofu skin wraps are one of the best appetizers I have ever had. I am not often in the Woburn area, but will definitely stop in again when I am.

Outstanding

I just found this place the other day and I happily went back today. This place is amazing. The food is fresh, prepared well, and presented beautifully . The service is fast and friendly. The prices are a little expensive, but ABSOLUTELY worth it. Once you see and taste the food, the price will become irrelevant.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff, Fair price

Wonderful Vegan Asian Jewel in Woburn!

I was in the Boston area for business a couple months ago and found this place on Happy Cow. I'll be honest that I don't remember exactly what I had, but I can tell you that everything was delicious and presented beautifully. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as were the two servers. I can't say enough good things about this little place and I hope vegetarians and vegans will give it their support, even if they have to drive a bit (it's worth it!). I'll be back the next time I'm in town!

Pros: Food is excellent, Presentation is beautiful, Staff is friendly

FANTASTIC FOOD, GREAT SERVICE

My wife and I were in Woburn, MA visiting family. Finding decent vegan food in the suburbs of Boston is not easy. But that changed. Bayberry Cafe has great food and is reasonably priced. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We've been veg for 45 years, and this is some of the finest veg food we've had. We were so impressed that we ate at Bayberry every day that we stayed in the area.

Pros: Great food, Friendly helpful staff, Reasonably priced

Cons: Nothing needs improvement.

Wonderful Restaurant

Bayberry Vegan Cafe is newly opened, very clean, well lit and had a TV mounted on the wall. We loved everything about it! They have an extensive menu that I think meat eaters would also enjoy.

We started with the Yam & Pumpkin Tempura, it came with a flavorable dipping sauce, it was excellent. We ordered two entrees, Moo Shu Vegetables and Pad Thai. The Moo Shu came with 4 wraps, it was delicious! The Pad Thai had a kick to it I wasn't expecting but it was also very good. Having ordered entrees we could choose either a salad or Miso Soup. We choose Miso Soup and it was yummy. We finished with chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. The cake was thick and fudge like and peanut butter smooth and creamy, wonderful combination! This was an extremely wonderful meal, nice environment with attentive and efficient waitstaff. This will be my go to restaurant when visiting family next town over.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: None
