Pleasantly surprised - Edit
I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the food here. The options are basic (only 2 types of sandwiches and 3 sizes) but the flavors were a slightly different take on a classic, and I actually prefer this to most “traditional” falafel I’ve had. I subtracted one star because the ice cream could have been a lot better. It was pretty icy. My hypothesis is that they didn’t use enough, or any fat, probably soy-based. A little coconut cream would go a long way towards improving the flavor and texture. Overall a good experience.

So tasty! - Edit
We stumbled across this place when visiting nakameguro. The bowl and the falafel wrap were both fantastic! They also have a small seating area. The staff was super friendly too. They don't use ajinomoto.

My sweet falafel - Edit
Very nice place easily accessible from Naka-meguro station. They provide large size Falafel with excellent tomato soup as harrissa-based spice toppings ! The place is quite small but it is filled with warm atmosphere and nice jukebox.

Nice lunch spot - Edit
Nice little lunch spot in nakameguro. Offers falafel and salad, as well as drinks and vegan soft ice cream with various toppings. Only a few seats, not able to fit groups. Offers everything to-go too. When eating in real cups and plates are used, not disposable ones.
Read moreLunch menu with a regular-size falafel, a small tomato soup and a small soy latte for 1400 yen (including taxes).

Delicious, fully-vegan falafel - Edit
Tiny place (6 counter seats) but well-worth a visit for their delicious falafels. Reasonably priced with a good lunch set (soup drink). Great for take out as well.
Read moreThe soft-serve was decent, but a little icy for my taste. Made from soy and amazake. The wide selection of toppings, however, was a plus.
Pros: Fully vegan, metal straws, many toppings available for the soft-serve
Cons: Limited seating (6 seats), small menu, soft-serve is a little icy (vs smooth)

Falafel and dessert heaven! - Edit
This restaurant really is a treat! My sister and I went here as a stop on our walk home, and the staff was so lovely and accommodating to our 'so-so' Japanese! The food itself is delightful and we can't wait to come back! The pistachio vegan soft-serve is our recommendation. 🌿

Great little vegan place with really good falafel. Resonantly priced. It’s a small space but it’s worth the wait, you can also take away if you don’t want to. Bonus, they give you metal straws, in Japan that’s a big deal!

A great introduction to vegan food in Japan! - Edit
I had the falafel sandwich and soup set. The sandwich was colourful and had just the right amount of spiciness (I don’t have a high tolerance for spicy food haha). The soup was tasty too. I’m not vegetarian/vegan but I would like to try more vegetarian/vegan food and drinks in future. I will recommend this place to both vegetarians/vegans and non-vegetarians/vegans!

Fresh and tasty - Edit
I was recommended Ballon by a friend. The falafel was very tasty and not too dry. The vegetables were fresh and colourful, and the mashed potatowas a very interesting but welcome addition to the sandwich. Although it’s a bit pricy, I would recommend adding an extra falafel if you have a bigger appetite.
