Hidden gem in Nakameguro

One of the best vegan shops in Tokyo. Good atmosphere, well-made fresh food, and refreshing drinks.

Pros: Casual seating available outside.

Cons: Small seating area inside.

Pros: Good vibes, Smells good , Happy Staff

Cons: A little on the pricey side, Maybe not best first date spot (hard to eat) , Metal Bar Stools

Quick, healthy & yum

I got the falafel salad bowl which was really yummy and healthy! It’s nice to get some veggies in you while you’re travelling. The staff were friendly and they had an offer for free soft serve if you leave a review on Happy Cow 😊

Pros: Very close from train station , Healthy and all vegan!, English menu & English speaking staff

Fantastic food

We are coming here regularly for their falafel. It is really good, juicy and rich in aroma.
Also their vegan soft cream is remarkable. I recommend you to try with brown sugar syrup & soybean flour.

Pleasantly surprised

I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by the food here. The options are basic (only 2 types of sandwiches and 3 sizes) but the flavors were a slightly different take on a classic, and I actually prefer this to most “traditional” falafel I’ve had. I subtracted one star because the ice cream could have been a lot better. It was pretty icy. My hypothesis is that they didn’t use enough, or any fat, probably soy-based. A little coconut cream would go a long way towards improving the flavor and texture. Overall a good experience.

Pros: Good food, Unique take on a classic, Decent price

Cons: Ice cream needs work, Location is a bit out of the way

So tasty!

We stumbled across this place when visiting nakameguro. The bowl and the falafel wrap were both fantastic! They also have a small seating area. The staff was super friendly too. They don't use ajinomoto.

Pros: Tasty, all vegan

Cons: -

My sweet falafel

Very nice place easily accessible from Naka-meguro station. They provide large size Falafel with excellent tomato soup as harrissa-based spice toppings ! The place is quite small but it is filled with warm atmosphere and nice jukebox.

Nice lunch spot

Nice little lunch spot in nakameguro. Offers falafel and salad, as well as drinks and vegan soft ice cream with various toppings. Only a few seats, not able to fit groups. Offers everything to-go too. When eating in real cups and plates are used, not disposable ones.
Lunch menu with a regular-size falafel, a small tomato soup and a small soy latte for 1400 yen (including taxes).

Pros: Vegan only, Nice falafel (homemade), Nice Interieur

Cons: A bit pricey

Best falafel ever!

We wanted some comfort food in Tokyo and here we found the best falafel we ever had. Absolutely delicious! We ate chocolate and mango icecream as well, very good.
Friendly staff, easy to find, English menu. Reasonable price.

Delicious, fully-vegan falafel

Tiny place (6 counter seats) but well-worth a visit for their delicious falafels. Reasonably priced with a good lunch set (soup drink). Great for take out as well.

The soft-serve was decent, but a little icy for my taste. Made from soy and amazake. The wide selection of toppings, however, was a plus.

Pros: Fully vegan, metal straws, many toppings available for the soft-serve

Cons: Limited seating (6 seats), small menu, soft-serve is a little icy (vs smooth)

Falafel and dessert heaven!

This restaurant really is a treat! My sister and I went here as a stop on our walk home, and the staff was so lovely and accommodating to our 'so-so' Japanese! The food itself is delightful and we can't wait to come back! The pistachio vegan soft-serve is our recommendation. 🌿

Pros: Vegan food, fresh!

Vegan and eco friendly!

Great little vegan place with really good falafel. Resonantly priced. It’s a small space but it’s worth the wait, you can also take away if you don’t want to. Bonus, they give you metal straws, in Japan that’s a big deal!

Pros: Great falafel, English menu, Eco Friendly

Cons: Small space with limited seating

A great introduction to vegan food in Japan!

I had the falafel sandwich and soup set. The sandwich was colourful and had just the right amount of spiciness (I don’t have a high tolerance for spicy food haha). The soup was tasty too. I’m not vegetarian/vegan but I would like to try more vegetarian/vegan food and drinks in future. I will recommend this place to both vegetarians/vegans and non-vegetarians/vegans!

Had Falafel Sand

Had a Falafel Sand with extra falafel. It was tasty and completely vegan menu. There are only 5 or 6 seats in the shop so I would recommend “to go”.

Good falafel

Set lunch menu a good deal, comes with a falafel sandwich, soup and tea. A nice warm lunch on a rainy day. Fun interior, but only a handful of seats.

Fresh and tasty

I was recommended Ballon by a friend. The falafel was very tasty and not too dry. The vegetables were fresh and colourful, and the mashed potatowas a very interesting but welcome addition to the sandwich. Although it’s a bit pricy, I would recommend adding an extra falafel if you have a bigger appetite.

Pros: Light, Tasty, Fresh

Cons: Size could be bigger

Delicious Falafel in Tokyo

I was looking for a vegetarian restaurant near Meguro river. Ballon's staff is very friendly (even with non-japanese speaker), place is small but nicely decorated.
I took the Regular Falalel which is very fresh and full of taste. The pita bread is soft.
I just wish there was a large option !!

Price is correct.

I recommend
