I had falafel sandwich which was really good. Crispy falafels, a lot of grilled veggies and flavorful sauce. I ordered regular size and was satisfied. The staffs are really kind. It was really worth coming.

Worth the walk from Nakameguro Station - Edit
Fresh falafel with lots of yummy toppings — eggplant, cilantro, grilled maitake mushrooms, shredded carrots, etc.. There is not much seating space, just six stools, so it’s best to come off-peak if you want to eat inside.

seriously wow! my girl n i came here on the 2 year anniversary and they had a special deal so we paid 500 for a regular falafel instead of like 700 and it was so good i kinda wNted another one but it was okay because i had the soft serve ice cream lined up. she got raspberry and i got caramel and both were delicious. falafel was jam packed with cegetables i hadnt even tried before and now my tummy is full. thanks. we came to meguro just for this place and honestly it worth it!

A bit disappointed - Edit
The food was ok, nothing peculiar about it but it let to me and my friend a bad taste in mouth. Maybe it was too oily or something wasn't fresh? The quantity was fine but I ate better falafels in Tokyo.

Delicious! 😋 - Edit
Visited Ballon for my first time and had their Falafel Salad Bowl. It was topped with an array of veggies! To my surprise, the eggplant was freshly grilled and warm which made it all the better. Came with four crunchy falafels with a slightly spicy sauce. Paid ¥1101 for the regular size and a topping of coriander/cilantro. The place is located near my yoga studio so I am definitely come back for more!

Best Falafel Sandwich 😍 - Edit
Read the Vegan Tokyo Guide on https://itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-tokyo-guide/
Read moreI am not a big fan of falafel. But this? This makes me want to go back for more.
Ballon is a small vegan cafe in Naka-Meguro, two stations away from Shibuya. A short 5 minute walk will take you to this Paris-inspired cafe.
Inside the falafel sandwich, you’ll find these perfectly seasoned, crunchy falafels. Other ingredients include eggplant, mushroom, carrot, purple cabbage, hummus, vegan cream sauce, salsa and salad. Wholesome, hearty and healthy. It’s a party in your mouth.
Their menu is not big: only two versions of the falafel sandwich (one with coriander and one without), a salad bowl, drinks, daily soup, and soft serve ice cream.
The vegan soft serve is ok. Not the best texture cause it is a bit icy. If you are in the area and isn’t full after the falafel sandwich, go to Premarche Gelateria to get a vegan ice cream. Or you can be like me: try the ice cream in both shops because you can never have too much vegan ice cream.
Overall very impressed with their falafel sandwich. Definitely give it a visit if you are in Tokyo.

Best vegan place in Tokyo in my one-year span here - Edit
The interior of the place was really cute and cozy, with very friendly and helpful customer service. The taste of the food itself was beyond anything I have tasted in any other vegan establishment in Japan so far. Really recommend coming for the lunch set between 12-15, since got my meal at a quite reasonable price as well.

Best vegan food in Nakameguro - Edit
A great option if you are experiencing veggie deficit. The falafel are delicious, with a pita bread on the light-and-fluffy side, and an unusual collection of toppings including maitake mushroom. The large size is just about right for me — not cheap at 1180 yen but pretty reasonable for Tokyo.

Beautiful falafel - Edit
Simple cozy shop on a street not too far from Naka-meguro. We got the coriander falafel wrap. The toppings you get on top of four crunchy falafels are carrot and purple cabbage râpé in a vinnagraite marinade, grilled Maitake mushrooms, fried eggplant, mash potatoes, topped with harissa sauce. All the flavors blend beautifully.
Read moreThe shop itself only seats 6 people, so I recommend taking a stroll around Naka-meguro.

Best falafel in Nakameguro - Edit
Very clean shop with a nice interior design. The lunch offer is good value for money, you get a soup and a drink for almost no extra cost. The falafel was really fresh and tasty and contains lots of fresh vegetables, not just cabbage and jalapeño like some kebab shops do. Extra bonus is that they have a monthly special pita bread choice (this month was turmeric and cumin). You can also add pak chi. They also have a large selection of vegan soft ice cream which looks appetizing (although I didn’t order ice cream this time)

Delicious falafel, I had the salad bowl and my partner had the falafel ‘sand’ with coriander and went back for a second. Seriously so delish! Possibly the best thing we have eaten in Japan. Recommend getting extra falafel because it’s so amazing.

This is the second time I have had falafel in Japan, and it was as good or even better than the one I used to eat when I lived in Berlin (which was amazing!)
