Small space with good vegan food. We had the burgers which are a bit experimental, but big and very tasty. Good selection of cakes.

They have an English menu, and the staff can translate the daily soups, herbal infusion and meal deal. Although attracted by the two soups and the burgers, I chose the croquettes (like crepes, stuffed, rolled up and fried) and had one of each different kind of stuffing – spinach-onion and lentil-tomato – topped with a good mushroom sauce and served with carrot slaw and red-cabbage slaw. I enjoyed a bottled apple-pear juice too. A good meal for PLN26 (CA$9.75). The meal arrived quickly. The menu covers juices, coffees, teas, cheesecake and pies. Pleasant service.

Pyszne, świeże jedzenie.Porcje spore a ceny przystępne. Dodatkowo, bistro znajduje się na bardzo ładnej, gdańskiej ulicy, mozna więc usiąść na zewnątrz.

I tried mexican soup (very spicy) and curry with smoked tofu and nuts (not too spicy but very tasteful). I recommend it sincerely and hope to try more dishes in the future

EXCELLENT FOOD! A MUST EAT! - Edit
My friend (a meat eater) and I went 3 days in a row. We had various "kotleciki" (smaller veggie burgers) served with potato purée, side salads a la polonaise, also a veggie gratin (it was my favourite),mushrooms made like schnitzel, a broad bean-stuffed mushroom, and from the permanent menu a peanut curry. They change their menu everyday and it was always good. In the summer, they have ice cream which is super delicious. The staff was very kind too.

Well, I've stayed in Sopot and I was looking for Some good vegan restaurant. I saw this amazing reviews about Avocado, so I've decided to go to Gdansk and try it. I was a little bit before noon so I had to wait until kitchen will open. I wanted to eat something gluten free so I decided to order my beloved curry. I had to wait quite a while but preparing curry takes some time so I get that. But I must say, it was worth to wait. I'm a curry freak, trust me! And I was absolutely suprised how good that was. Spicy enough, looking great, taste even better and the portion was huuuge. With heavy heart, but I wasn't able to finish it. So I definitely recommend it. I bought hummus to go and I'm sure it's gonna be great ;)

Cons: small space , could be a little more gluten free options, only one table outside

Nice vegan place in Wrzeszcz - Edit
We tried to come here for lunch but it was so crowded that we decided to go elsewhere. We had better luck for dinner, although it was still pretty crowded. One of us initially wanted to have falafels, but they only had enough for half a portion, so we both decided on cannelones filled with spinach. The food was nice and healthy, and despite the crowdedness we didn't have to wait too long for it.

I finally had a chance to go to Avocado for lunch, had croquettes with lentils and a set of salads, it was mindblowing! Cost 16 PLN (=4€). Great value for money. Friendly service. Would definitely come back!

Nice, but not spectacular - Edit
Avocado isn't really in a convenient location for tourists - it's quite far away from the old town. I hoped it would be worth the trip out, but was actually a little disappointed. We were there at 5pm and expected to beat the rush, but it was so crowded that we struggled to find seats and had to leave almost as soon as we finished eating because people were milling around in the space between tables. It's great to see a vegan place so popular, but it was a little claustrophobic. Service was still fast, even though it was so busy. We had the canneloni, which was fine but needed more seasoning and would have been better with melted cheese on top. It was perfectly nice, but from the other reviews I'd been expecting more.
Read moreThe cakes looked really tempting, but we didn't stay for them. Personally, I would visit again if I were in that part of town, but wouldn't travel there for food again.
Pros: Great service
Cons: Location (bad for tourists)

This place was great!!! For such a small little bistro, the selection was outstanding. There were CHEAP prices and huge portions. The food was beautifully arranged on the plates, but more importantly was delicious and filled us up.

Unfortunately disappointing ... Beautiful little place with tasteful interior design .... And so much for taste... Food was not up to the mark. I had a polish soup krupnik which was ok... And fried tofu on tomato sauce with millet and salads... Overall it was lacking flavor ... We took some deserts to go... Which were probably best pick in this place... Not much to add ...

Ok but not outstanding - Edit
Perhaps we went there when staff had a very bad day. Customer service was not friendly so we ended up taking only take away cake rather than eating there. Place seemed busy so surely customers liked it. Cake as such did not wow me. There are plenty of places in Gdansk that do vegan dessert better in my opinion.

Gem in Gdañsk - Edit
Assuming you are a vegan, you are committing a crime if you leave Gdañsk without eating at Avocado. Surely bio way and green way are alright, but Avocado is the real deal. I had the burger and a chocolaty cake. The burger was one of the best vegan burgers that I've had and the cake was delish. Highly recommended!
