Aroma has a dedicated vegan menu, including a dedicated breakfast menu. The food was decent. I wasn't wowed by any one dish. But it was a good local go-to. The veggie wrap was my go-to menu choice.

Better breakfast than anywhere in Puerto Viejo - Edit
We drove twice from Puerto Viejo for the breakfast here as it was better than any vegan breakfast options we had in Puerto Viejo. We had great vegan pancakes and the 'complete breakfast' (also vegan), to which we added a huge homemade hash brown from another part of the menu (it did come out with egg the first time, but the second time was as requested - just the hash brown). I think they should have a mini hash brown as an optional extra for the complete vegan breakfast! Lots of great sides of fruit too with each meal 🍓

Service is friendly but very slow. On the positive side there is a full vegan menu with loads of options, I got a veggie wrap one day and a complete breakfast the next. The complete breakfast was excellent value and came with a coffee and orange juice.

Sitio muy mono cerca del Parque Nacional de Cahuita con un menú vegano muy bueno. Hemos desayunado el panqueque de plátano con frutas y es espectacular. Mejor desayuno en Costa Rica. Tienen leches vegetales.

We visited Aroma nearly every day we were in Cahuita. The vegan menu featured plenty of choice and we enjoyed all that we tried. The breakfast was a particular highlight. The smoothies were also delicious and came with the option of plant-based milks. Fairly priced.

Very cute café, has some board games. They have a vegan menu with lots of options. Prices are ok for Cahuita. Had the Cahuita Sandwich and it was amazing (and quite big).

Fresh, Decadent and Tasty - Edit
The food was amazing. My husband and I both got the Red Passion Burger. It was excellent and it was the most fresh food.I have had since arriv in Costa Rica.
Read moreAs the menu indicates, It contains beets, zucchini slices, tomato slices, red cabbage, caramelized onions, and hummus.
I ordered mine without the bread because I have an allergy to yeast. So they put the hummus on the side. I'm really glad that they did that because I did not like the hummus. It had way too much garlic. It was already on the burger for my husband since he had his with buns. He loved his as well. So apparently he was fine with the hummus.
I would definitely love to eat there again.
The burgers came with fries. The fries were nothing special, just typical fries.
They had a full page vegan menu.
The service was good.

Got the Cahuita sandwich based on the servers recommendation. Was very average. didn’t like how the eggplant was prepared and the sandwich overall was very dry. the fries were the best part because they were seasoned and had a sauce to go with them (ketchup) smoothie was okay

Charming little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Full vegan menu in Spanish and English. I read some reviews that said service is slow, but that was not my experience. Another review stated no desserts but I saw posts on their Instagram page. Not sure if they are vegan though since I don't like desserts.

They have a separate vegan menu with great, well priced options (only around $10 per plate). We got the complete breakfast which came with tofu scramble, veggies, fruit, salad, vegan sausage, buns and jam, coffee and orange juice. So good!!

My intention stopping here was to get food for my full day inside the national park. They advertise as food to go but the packaging is not to go friendly. Lots of plastic waste, no lid on liquid for granola, no utensils provided, wrap not wrapped. Also there is an extra charge for to go. The food I was able to salvage was yummy but next time I’d eat in.

We had the beetroot and the pineapple burger with fries. Both was really good. The monkey frappe and French juices are also very refreshing and tasty.
