Surprised it isn’t busier - Edit
Went here last night and wasn’t disappointed. The pizzas are really good - especially the margarita- and the ravioli was nice as well despite being a very small portion. Amami is located next to a couple of other popular vegan restaurants, which is unfortunate as they seem to overshadow it and the restaurant never seems very busy. Maybe I just went at bad times and it does pick up around lunch time, but if not then I do hope that business takes off for them soon because the food is good and they really deserve to be busier. My only negative comment was that the waitress wasn’t as friendly as what we’re used to in Bali and that we had to pay for a second glass of (non-bottled) water (which isn’t standard) but it wasn’t really a big deal and didn’t really impact my enjoyment of the meal.

Delicious vegan Italian - Edit
Had 2 dinners here and plan to come back. Tried the pizza, gnocchi and ravioli, plus the tiramisu. The gnocchi were average but the rest was DE-LI-CIOUS. Can’t wait to try the carbonara!

First vegan Italian place abroad! - Edit
They claim to be the first vegan Italian place abroad so that is already a reason to try this restaurant. Decor was nice, staff were nice, food was nice...yes, everything was nice. I am hoping to go back as they have pizza Fridays and Sundays for 50K. A lovely venue to get your Italian on!

Wheat-free options, too! - Edit
I’m always so happy to find vegan, wheat-free options. The pumpkin pizza crust was very thin and delicious and I’m just so delighted this pizza now exists in Bali 😄. Hope they come up with a thicker wheat-free crust soon. The eggplant parmigiana was the best! Even my friend who hates eggplant thought it was the best dish we ordered. The only wheat-free dessert tonight was panna cotta with chocolate. I’m not usually a fan of coconut cream but this was mild and more like a mousse and was lovely as well. The bean arrabiata panini had a strong American bbq flavor which I enjoyed but it’s not for everyone. The portions are gourmet size 😄. I will be back soon.

Vegan and Italian food. The best combo. - Edit
I used to love in Italy. And I love Italian food. However, it was not easy to find vegan and Italian food there. I couldn’t guess that I had to come in Bali to find it. And what a discovery! All the pizza are delicious - even though I would love to have a bigger pizza.
Read moreTiramisu is my favourite dessert. And it is quite rare to find a vegan version. This one is just insanely tasteful. Love it. I’ll be back very soon.
Pros: Pizza , Tiramisu

Wow - Edit
This place was on my list, but every night I thought ‘pizza and pasta, hmm not tonight’. But tonight I went and I’m so so glad I did. Because it is so much more than that! I wish I went sooner. I had the avocado pizza and tried their pumpkin base it was so yummy. The staff were amazingly lovely too. You can feel the love here. It’s owned by a young couple who you can tell really care about the food and presentation of the whole establishment.

The lovely, young Italian couple who opened this place have done a remarkable job and we'll be highly recommending their beautiful restaurant to everyone we know. Thank you!! 😍❤️🌱

Phenomenally authentic - Edit
The fact that we were able to have a wonderful conversation with the owners made this place extra special. The food was amazing, the cheese was delicious and was not made from cashews (still a secret). Dessert was out of this world. Nutella from scratch! Need I say more?

I NEVER take the time to review places, but Amami is up there in the best food I’ve ever had. We had the meatballs, a pizza with the pumpkin crust, a salad, a tiramisu and a canolo. Everything was outstanding, with a traditional yet surprising feel to all the dishes. If you’re in Canggu, whether you’re vegan or not: you have to go!
