A bit pricy for the portions - Edit
We ordered a tempeh salad each and the portions were tiny (seriously, 1 small head of broccoli?) and very pricy (8.90 each). However the taste was really good. The beet juice with açai and ginger was amazing, and the açai bowls are insane (though veeeeery sweet, as previous reviews stated). Would be back for the açai bowl, but more as a treat, not for lunch.

Big NoNo - Edit
Let's put it this way, I had cappuccino, açai and orange juice...... I didn't like anything 😒 açai is small and far too sweet, the cappuccino was more like boiled milk and coffee and the juice.... Well it's a juice. Also the ordering process is painful. You have to scan the barcode, select your food from the phone, the website is user unfriendly..... It's a no for me

Nope - Edit
Coffee was really not good, cappuccino came with cacao without warning and coffee was burnt. Acai bowl was just way too sweet, also the whole process of ordering on your phone was painful. Not sure what the hype is about.

My favoriteeee! - Edit
Acai bowls are INCREDIBLE. Their nachos, burgers and hot dog is also great but nothing tops the acai. I eat here so often and all the workers are incredibly kind. I love you Alma Libre!!!!

Buenissimo - Edit

This cafe is in our family rotation several times a week. My husband loves the Barcelona wrap (seitan-based), son loves the hotdog, and I'm always up for the Runner açai bowl with added granola. The nachos and mushroom bruschetta are perfect starters.

Rude staff - Edit
EDIT (June 2019)
Read moreI came back after two years and I must remove one star. This place changed a bit but was I found very unpleasant was the staff behavior. I asked for a salad and a burger and the waiter commented on me twice that I orderded too much. The cashier the same, she named me "the one that eats much". WTF? I find it extremely rude. I do not have to give explanations for the staff. Moreover, the food was lacking flavour. Not sure if I'll come back :/.
...
It is not so common to get an açai bowl in Spain. So if you are excited about berries, visit this place. They serve burgers, hummus and sandwiches also. It is a great option for a brunch.
Pros: very good açai bowls, burgers, moderate price
Cons: too few tables inside

Fresh and welcoming - Edit
After a fascinating walk through the Old Town, we found Almalibre.
Read moreWe were promptly shown to a table by a busy but friendly waitress who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome.
The menu is varied, we chose a wrap and the hot dog. Both were fresh and tasty.
We would come here again without a doubt.

Love it more each time - Edit
I have been back a couple times now and love it more and more. The staff is always smiling and happy to be a part of this happy place. InCredible salads, different kinds of hummus, and amazing gluten-free beer, different burgers, all in a casual but stylish atmosphere in a charming part of town on a pedestrian street.

Really yammy - Edit
I went there twice while I was in Valencia, I had the açai, the hummus combination and the vegan burger with the quinoa paddy, they were all really yummy and tasty! The only thing I would complain about is the size of the açai I had the traditional (I think that is what it is called) kinda small in my opinion...

Good food in the Ciutat Vella - Edit
A bit on the pricy side, but that's to be expected in the heart of the very atmospheric tourist quarter of the Old Town. Really tasty food - definitely try the acai dessert bowls! Got really crowded from about 9pm: visit earlier for a quieter experience. Great people- (and dog-) watching at the outside tables. No chips with the burgers though ... (boo)

Acai and much more! - Edit
We went here twice for breakfast and it proved to be just the perfect outlet for a healthy and satisfying start of the day. Acai bowls come with many different topping options, we'd recommend the poçoca for sure (if you like peanut flavour). We also really appreciated the options besides the acai bowls, the wraps and mushroom bruschetta were really good.

Delicioso - Edit

Good vegan food that is well priced - Edit
A couple of weeks ago I visited here with my boyfriend as we were struggling to find vegan restaurants that we open in the early afternoon. The food was lovely and the staff were very helpful. The only reason that I won't give it 5 stars is because my partners burger was lovely but he had added 3/4 extra toppings. If he had gone with the standard burger it would have been fairly bland. Other than that the food was great and I really recommend the wraps!

It is not a vegan restaurant - Edit
It is not a vegan restaurant. In the menu they offered sandwiches of jamón serrano. And selling pork is not one of the things that someone who considers himself vegan should do.

Sadly not vegan - Edit
Tried this last week, its no longer vegan. Almost everything had an animal product on it.

Such a disappointing place, they've added ham and goats cheese, honey and milk to most things on the menu.
