no words...

can really describe this amazing place. Everything was just perfect. We orderd the 7 course menu accompanied one with alcohol and one with non-alcohol beverages. If you have the chance do it that way, there will be so many surprises.

The only evening we had in la paz couldn't be any better.

Excellent quality Vegan food. (If pretty pricey!)

This really is a first class place to dine, with great attention to detail and very good service too. For that "special" event I'd highly recommend it. But...it is pricey and you need to allow plenty of time for the numerous courses to be presented. Enjoy!

Pros: excellent quality food, Very good service, Very nice atmosphere

Cons: Expensive., Set menu may not suit everyone

A must when in La Paz

If you’re in La Paz and vegan, or not vegan but curious, then Ali Pacha is a must. It’s a bit difficult to find, but once you do, you’re in for a real treat!

I was recently in La Paz and visited the restaurant twice, once with my wife, the other with our group of 25 vegans. Both experiences were supberb.

The menu didn’t vary much between my two visits but I didn’t mind.

Both times we had the 5 course menu without pairings and it was plenty of food.

There are many layers to the flavors and it’s as visually pleasing as it is tasty.

They can work with allergies and are very accommodating. Our entire group had no onions or garlic in our food and it was delicious!

It might be considered pricey by Bolivian standards, but the same meal would
easily cost two to three times as much in any major city in the U.S.

Pros: Food, Atmospher, Service

Cons: Can be tricky to find.

We had a 5 course dinner and each course was delicious. They have creative ideas on how the combine ingredients, super tasty! The sour dough bread with coconut butter was so delicious

Pros: affordable! water and bread is included

Best vegan restaurant in the world!

We went for the 7 course tasting menu and were so suprised and happy with the entire experience. Aside from being tasty each dish was beautifully presented, genuinely inventive and felt distinctly Bolivian.

The restaurant has a nice ambience to it with patterned tiles, soft lighting and exposed brickwork, which is classy without feeling too posh - it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing or making you feel awkward.

This definitely competes with the high end veg/vegan restaurants in our home of London and I think overall it's the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to.

Pros: inventive, delicious, good value for money, friend

An amazing dining experience

This is perhaps one of the most amazing dining experiences I've ever had. A choice of 3, 5, or 7 course meal, at 100, 150, 200 Bolivianos respectively. There is also an option to have an accompanying drinks menu to match each of the courses. It is of course very expensive by Bolivian standards but the quality of food is very high. I opted for 7 course meal without any drinks pairing and stuck to agua. The menu was so carefully put together - I'm not sure if it varies each night but it was exquisite. I lost count of the number of courses and in my head I got one extra - 2 deserts - amazing surprise. I felt present with my food and the tasty tastes I experienced and the music and atmosphere are beautifully supportive of being present with the food. There was also a careful attention to detail. Yes each of the portions are quite small but I'm on a cycle tour and to my surprise I felt satisfied upon leaving. The most difficult thing for me was the contrast between this high-end restaurant (which I could never afford to eat at were it in my own country) and the conditions of some of the people I witnessed on the streets of La Paz. I'd go back and I'd recommend. I experienced this alone but I'd imagine it would be good to have company.

Pros: A carefully thought out and tasty menu, Attention to detail - creating relaxed atmosphere, Inexpensive by my home UK standards

Cons: Expensive by Bolivian standards

Vegan fine dining in La Paz

Wow! This restaurant is amazing. 100% vegan restaurant offering 3, 5 or 7 course set menu. We had the 7 course menu (5 savoury and 2 dessert courses). What I loved most was the combination of traditional Bolivian flavours with vegan fine dining. My favourite course had to be the peanut butter ice-cream. I could have eaten it all night!!
The cocktails were great. Very unique, using Bolivian-made alcohols and local ingredients.
Staff super friendly and genuinely care about your experience and enjoying their food. They can speak fluently in both Spanish and English.

Pros: Amazing variety and attention to detail, Scrumptious desserts , Unique and delicious cocktails

Cons: Expensive for Bolivian standards (but in my opinio

A very good restaurant

I recommend this restaurant which is a very nice place with excellent food. With the seven course menu you can enjoy many flavours. Of course it is expensive for a bolivian restaurant but it's an opportunity to try gastronomic vegan food. If you go to La Paz don't miss this restaurant !

Pros: Fine cuisine , Many flavours

Cons: Expensive , Small portions

i was so satisfied !

We took the 7 course menu (200bs)
Service is very good, yes it is expensive but after all the bad food in Peru und Bolivia I was so happy to get ALL VEGAN high quality food. I know that it is almost only affordable for tourists but nevertheless I was really happy. Experimental delicious food and well balanced cocktails! I think it is definitely worth it
The only thing I would remark is that they gave us the bill directly after we finished the food, although we would have liked to have one more cocktail and so just skipped it.

Pros: good Cocktails , vegan high quality food, Perfect service

Wow!

The food was both delightful to the eye and the palate. We chose the 5-course evening meal rather than the 7-course and had plenty of food. We were asked first about food allergies so am assuming they adapted the dishes, if needed.

I would describe the type as "nouvelle cuisine". Each course was presented by the chef who described exactly how it was prepared. One course, a beet dish, was both hot and cold - interesting and wonderful! The tomato "soup" with cashew cheese hinted at comfort food but was much more than that!

This was one of the best food experiences I have had (including pre-vegan days). We would be a regular customers if we lived in LaPaz. Eating at Ali Pacha was one of the highlights of our memorable 3-week South American vacation.

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Provided menus in both Spanish and English

Cons: We don't live in LaPaz so we can't go back soon
