Fresh Food

Great little spot! Extensive menu, all very reasonably priced. Got a smoothie bowl and it was delicious - so fresh and packed with fruit. I will definitely be returning here!

Best churros ever

Really, the best I’ve ever had. Of all the vegan and non vegan churros I’ve had in my life, these rank #1 for sure! The coconut caramel sauce is also really good. Just so amazingly tasty and such a nice fluffy texture!

The food is okay but I am not coming back.

The food was good but the service was bad. It took more than 30 minutes to get a quesadilla and a wrap. The staff was incompetente and I order cake that never came. The restaurant was empty and even so the service was very slow.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Bad service

Even though the restaurant was empty they may have had a lot of FoodPanda orders, I know they often do. I have never had a problem with the service. I believe they are also short staffed at the moment.

Makes healthy food delicious and treat food amazing! I would recommend everything I tried.

Favourite was the cheese and mushroom quesadilla! Best vegan cheese I've ever had.

Quality ingredients combined with alchemy!

Pros: I'm not often surprised, but the flavours!

Cons: Not that I can think of

Delicious food and friendly owner

Really grat menu, I struggled to decide what to order! Went for tea leaf salad (with added black bean tempeh) and a vegballs aubergine panini. Both were really tasty, the sourdough bread was a particular highlight! My husband had the Moroccan wrap, which he really enjoyed too. Owner was very helpful and gave some recommendations. Staff were very professional. Also, almost forgot, we had a very nice 'Pappy' smoothie (very generous portion!) I forgot to take pics of the food, but got a pic of the new menu...

Went back the next day for breakfast - pumpkin and silken tofu on toast (delicious!), Jamaicano smoothie (amazing - tasted like liquid carrot cake!). My husband had the pumpkin date panini and enjoyed it.

Pros: Great menu, Tasty food, Friendly owner and staff

Tasty and healthy

Got a couple panini’s, morning glory, the Greek salad, a shake, cake, and a coffee. All very tasty. Double check if they have churros if you are making a special trip. They were not serving them at the time in 09/20.

Pros: Healthy without sacrificing taste, Good morning glory, In house cheese is good!

Cons: Didn’t have churros at the time.

The best wraps, paninis, bruschetta and FRESH CHURROS!

We are so glad that we came here. We had the beast wrap which was a beast! It was very filling for me, someone who eats like a horse... and it was delicious, a lovely mix of flavours. We also had the aubergine panini which was an amazing flavour, and the sunflowerseed pesto bruschetta which was also fantastic.

We finished with CHURROS made fresh by the owner Adrian. He arrived at the cafe not long after we ordered our main dishes and suggested that if we wanted churros we should order them soon as they take around 25 minutes to make fresh.

Adrian was a very bubbly, happy guy and we helped him to rate The ambience of some new lighting he was installing.

He gave us some sample churros to help us decide if we wanted sugar, sugar/cinnamon or plain. My partner decided on plain and I decided on sugar/cinnamon. They were so good! The best we had ever tried, my partner is Spanish so she is a hard please! The sauces with them chocolate and also the caramel were also to die for.

I recommend very highly to try wraps, paninis, bruschetta and
Of course churros. They also have some amazing sounding cakes but the voice of reason (my partner) convinced me that to eat cakes as well would be gluttony. So we will be back another day to try out some more wraps and the cakes.

The entire bill was less than 400 baht and I was actually full which is rare for me, the bottomless pit!

We also returned for cakes a few days later as they had some very good looking options and they tasted even better than they looked. I cycled through the rain to get them sun was my confidence that they would be great!

Nice mix of flavors and very friendly staff

Had a great experience at Alchemy Vegan here in Chiang Mai. I tried the carrot cake which brought be back to Denmark. The cake was very taste with a nice balance of salt and sugar - maybe brown sugar, but the alchemists always have a secret.

And also two wraps that were also very interesting and filling. After the two wraps I was full. No need for rice. I can usually eat 3-4 cups of rice with toppings for dinner.

Compared to the experience I feel the price is good and in the lower end.

Pros: Nice atmosphere, Low price, Interesting food

Cons: Missing a good salsa with the wraps

Delicious food,

In a lovely spot adjacent the Somphet market. Great people watching opportunities and an energetic buzz happening around you while still retaining a relaxed vibe.

Mango banana pash - 80B - delicious meal, not sure if it would fill up everyone though

Vegballs roasted aubergine - 120B - great ingredients and felt healthy and wholesome...but I could eat another 2 servings, underwhelmed by the size.

Coffee - added sweetener to iced Americano without asking, but otherwise yum - they ground fresh beans.

Pros: All vegan, healthy, delicious

Cons: Small portions

Cake!!

I think alchemy is currently only open for drinks and cake, possibly due to kitchen renovations. I tried the chocolate cake, which was nice and decadent! Nice to have some vegan cakes that are actual cake rather than heathy date/nut slices. I’d be keen to come back once they are serving food again

Awesome vegan spot!!

Great experience from the smiley, bubbly server to the super friendly owner and the wholesome, homemade food. Everything tasted so fresh and there are lots of options on the menu! The owner was working on a new cake when we visited, so he gave us a piece in exchange for our honest feedback (which, by the way, was very positive feedback.. sooo yummy 😋). The owner is very dedicated to providing healthy, vegan, delicious, and original/creative food. Just got back to Chiang Mai, and I'm very excited to try more cakes and their coffee/tea!

Pros: Vegan, Awesome staff and owner, Homemade/creative dishes

Good food in a convenient location

I normally only eat Thai food, but was interested to try the wraps here that I recently saw reviewed by other vegans in town and posted on their facebook page.
I was particularly interested to try what they call their VegBall & vegan cheese. I selected my wrap and watched it being prepared. There is quite a bit of preparation toasting and grilling the ingredients. I was happy with the end result. The creamy cheese made from almond has a great flavor. I would have liked some hot sauce or chilies to liven the taste because that's just the way I am.
The restaurant is pleasant. The low ceiling entrance gives it a hole in the wall feeling, but it opens out into an area with enough large tables & seating. The location is great for me opposite Somphet market.
I can see this is going to be a popular place for cake lovers and vegan coffee drinkers. I even met an old friend while I was there, so that was a bonus and added to the good vibe.

Pros: Fresh ingredients prepared B4 your eyes, VegBall & vegan cheese taste great, Convenient location

Cons: No chili or hot sauce available.

Delicious and healthy Smoothie Bowl

I ordered the Pina Colada Smoothie Bowl, it was fresh and delicious. The Soy latte coffee was excellent also. The girl serving me was very friendly and it was a quiet and cozy place to chill and relax for a while. Price was very cheap and I will come back and try some more from the menu, the cakes looked divine.

Pros: well priced, quality food, quality coffee

Hearty, wholesome, and made with love

I had a great experience at Alchemy Vegan. Really enjoyed their vege balls and avocado wrap and the chocolate cake was unbelievable! Best I’ve had in the world. So moist haha. The restaurant is comfortable and the western owner is great for conversation and you can tell he is very passionate about the food he makes.

Pros: All vegan , Cheap, Hearty sized meals

Super nice owner, great coffee and cake!!!

Adrian the owner is super nice and welcoming. We have visited twice and if we were staying in Chiang Mai for longer we would be regulars! The menu is 100% vegan, the coffees are strong and they have almond milk! The prices are definitely affordable and not overpriced. You must try the cakes, they are to superb!!

Pros: Amazing cakes, Great coffee, Friendly staff
