Pretty nice, but for the price? 🤔 - Edit
We tried the full course dinner. Several plates later, we found highs and lows, but overall experience was good.
Read moreRestaurant plays “the expensive” cards, but inside is quite neglected, sorry to say. Mostly state of walls etc.
In the other hand, service was superb and quick!
A loved the cup salad idea :).
Pros: Luxurious course dinner, Fun detailes, Quick service
Cons: Quite expensive, Inside needs maintenance

Amazing Desserts - Edit
Good food, but even better deserts that blend multiple cuisines together. The Sesame pancakes were especially delicious. Very good presentation and service. Limited seating so reserve in advance.

Lovely lunch place - Edit
We had the pesto pasta lunch set. This includes a main pasta dish (GF) with a delicious pesto and lots of cabbage. You can also pick a side dish, I had the fried tofu. These were very juicy but not very flavorful. As a drink a had a matcha latte, which was good. It’s a bit pricey but I would go again.

Crème brûlée of my dreams - Edit
We weren’t able to book online so we had to wait a while, but once in the food was served very quickly. The entrees were really yum, faux chicken nuggets and corn soup. We both liked the mains, pasta genovese and a rice dish with tomato/mushroom sauce (can’t remember the name) but we weren’t blown away. The dessert on the other hand… my husband loved the Japanese pudding and I would almost move to Tokyo for the crème brûlée. Delicious!
Read moreIt’s a bit tricky to find for non-Japanese speakers. If you get off at exit C5 from Shinjuku-Sanchome Station is pretty much right there as you emerge with lots of plants at the front.

Delicious Vegan food - Edit
Highly recommend this place - we were traveling with children and elderly parents who had varying preferences. The food cuts across multiple cuisines, providing a healthy variety of the familiar and the new.

Desserts are sooo good 🤤 - Edit
We went to Ain soph in Kyoto and it was really good, so we had to come back in Tokyo - we were not disappointed. The main dishes were already really good, but the real hit were the desserts. We had the tiramisu and the caramel brownie with ice cream and it was soo yummyy! Highly recomended :)

Great Vegetarian and Vegan food - Edit
I ordered the tortilla and dips and it was amazing. My friend got the wrap and said it was the best soy meat they've had.

Amazingggg - Edit
Besides the tantanmen noodles at Ikebukuro this was my favorite meal in Tokyo. My friend had the soup lunch set and I had the ‘salad lunch’, they were both great but I would recommend the latter. Depending on what you get it is not much more expensive than other places in Tokyo (so $$) and definitely worth it!

Amazing food - Edit
You need to order the hummus, you get bread and it’s a large portion. Share that if you’re two and get one main. Curry was very good, added soy meats to it. Smoothies and drinks are great too.

Delicious - Edit
I was so happy to find a vegan spot in Shinjuku. We tried the green curry, vegetable paella, and appetizer plate. It was all good, but my favorite was dessert -- matcha tiramisu!! They also have a wide selection of drinks, including alcoholic ones (cocktails, sake, wine, etc.) and non-alcoholic ones (teas, lattes, smoothies, etc.)
Read moreIn the front, they sell a variety of baked goods, like cookies and biscottis. I picked up some chai cookies and earl grey biscottis, which were great to bring on snacks for the rest of my trip. They also had a vegan and vegetarian Tokyo guide to pick up at the front.

Nice food, slightly pricey - Edit
We enjoyed the food, including the fluffy pancakes (a bit like undercooked scones to our English palates). It was slightly pricey, although decent portion sizes!
Read moreWe didn’t reserve, but it quickly filled up and we were lucky to get a table - would recommend reserving at peak times.

Okay - Edit
Food was okay. Mushrooms and quiche were the best enjoyed both. Shame they don’t do more Japanese food - what I see on the HappyCow images wasn’t available. The karrage and soy cutlets were not great. Tomato and mushroom rice dish was tomatoey but very simple.

Brownie sundae was to die for!! - Edit
I’ve only been to this branch once, but it was a super comfortable and nice space with an expansive menu. Got the brownie sundae and was absolutely delighted with it.

Excellent pancakes - Edit
Made a reservation for lunch on their website and I recommend this option. It was quite busy so service was a little slow. The set menu options are quite expensive but a la carte was reasonable for the area. Pancakes were fabulous and I would go back for them, I only wish they were larger.

Shinjuku Ain Soph - Edit
Hard to find. Their website gives good location. Right adjacent to the train stop entrance. All vegan. Best to make a reservation. Menu changes. Curry was excellent. Suggest splitting a dish. And then get the pancake dessert, wonderful. A smidge on the pricy side. There are several Ain Soph in Tokyo and one in Kyoto.

A little let down; I’d return only for dessert - Edit
This is probably the highest rated vegan place in the Shinjuku area but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The atmosphere really didn’t do it for me.
Read moreThere are many salads on the menu but they all look undressed and unappetizing. We’d already had a lot of rice that day so ordered the taco rolls and pasta to have something different. The taco rolls came out Saran-wrapped and kind of flavorless, but the pasta was good. The drinks were also good, as were the pancakes, but I don’t think the place overall is worth the price. For taco rolls, pasta, French fries, two alcoholic drinks, and the pancakes, we paid $65 USD. Next time I’d stop here again only to try other desserts. They all look amazing.

Good food but slow service - Edit
I went for dinner on a Wednesday and it seemed like they were really overwhelmed every though the restaurant wasn’t full. I tried to order the vegan steak but was told there would be a half hour wait for it, so I changed my order to the mushroom stew. It still took over half an hour for the food to come out. The woman next to me never even got her food, although her friend did, and she needed to ask for it again. The server apologized that they’re were really struggling with all the guests. However, multiple tables were empty so they were not even at capacity. The stew was good but the portion was not that large, I came away still hungry.

The dessert menu is a wowzer, with a wide range of options and incredible flavors. I would recommend choosing from the selection of sweet options rather than the savoury menu.
