Brownie sundae was to die for!! - Edit
I’ve only been to this branch once, but it was a super comfortable and nice space with an expansive menu. Got the brownie sundae and was absolutely delighted with it.

Excellent pancakes - Edit
Made a reservation for lunch on their website and I recommend this option. It was quite busy so service was a little slow. The set menu options are quite expensive but a la carte was reasonable for the area. Pancakes were fabulous and I would go back for them, I only wish they were larger.

Shinjuku Ain Soph - Edit
Hard to find. Their website gives good location. Right adjacent to the train stop entrance. All vegan. Best to make a reservation. Menu changes. Curry was excellent. Suggest splitting a dish. And then get the pancake dessert, wonderful. A smidge on the pricy side. There are several Ain Soph in Tokyo and one in Kyoto.

Delicious food - Edit
Everything we tried was delicious, but the pancakes are out of this world! If there is one thing you try, make it the pancakes!

A little let down; I’d return only for dessert - Edit
This is probably the highest rated vegan place in the Shinjuku area but it didn’t live up to my expectations. The atmosphere really didn’t do it for me.
Read moreThere are many salads on the menu but they all look undressed and unappetizing. We’d already had a lot of rice that day so ordered the taco rolls and pasta to have something different. The taco rolls came out Saran-wrapped and kind of flavorless, but the pasta was good. The drinks were also good, as were the pancakes, but I don’t think the place overall is worth the price. For taco rolls, pasta, French fries, two alcoholic drinks, and the pancakes, we paid $65 USD. Next time I’d stop here again only to try other desserts. They all look amazing.

Good food but slow service - Edit
I went for dinner on a Wednesday and it seemed like they were really overwhelmed every though the restaurant wasn’t full. I tried to order the vegan steak but was told there would be a half hour wait for it, so I changed my order to the mushroom stew. It still took over half an hour for the food to come out. The woman next to me never even got her food, although her friend did, and she needed to ask for it again. The server apologized that they’re were really struggling with all the guests. However, multiple tables were empty so they were not even at capacity. The stew was good but the portion was not that large, I came away still hungry.

Incredible desserts - Edit
The dessert menu is a wowzer, with a wide range of options and incredible flavors. I would recommend choosing from the selection of sweet options rather than the savoury menu.

Worth it - Edit
Found this place on IG and knew I had to try! We are staying close to the one in Shinjuku so stopped here for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, and although others have said it was pricey, my partner and I didn’t think so! We got an appetizer, two cocktails, and two entrees for about $50 (¥6195?) The dessert menu looked amazing but unfortunately we were too full to eat anymore. I hope to try them maybe at another location! 10/10 recommend.

Amazing - Edit
I went to all 4 (Rip Ripple Shinjuku) Ain Soph restaurants and I love them all, but this is the only Ain Soph restaurant in which they have vegan cheese and it’s to die for! The menu is huge and everything on it is delicious. The location is also great, since it’s super close to Shinjuku sanchome station.

Just wow - Edit
Starving after a long flight, and it’s always tricky finding vegan food in Japan. I got a three course meal for about 2900 yen which is pretty good. The pancakes were the star of the show. I couldn’t wait to review this place and wow did it exceed my expectations.

So good, can’t wait to go back - Edit
My partner and I came here twice on our last Tokyo trip. The salad, quiche, hummus, pancakes are all absolutely amazing. The crème brûlée was possibly the best vegan dessert we’ve ever had! I want to try all the ain soph’s! They also have rum & raisin ice cream which personally for me was a childhood taste I’ve always wanted again since going vegan! Service is impeccable, and love the interior too.

Healthy, huge portion and friendly staff - Edit
Finally took the time to go to this gem. They’re famous for their pancakes but I didn’t have those, means that I have to go back at some point. Anyhow, friendly staff serves you a fully vegan menu. Gluten-free options are also clearly indicated. They have also many sweets to eat there but also a selection to take home. The lunch salad plate I ordered was great, full of veggies and I loved that they serve the dressing (delicious) separately so that you can portion it yourself. The salad was really big, super full afterwards. Karaage was SO juicy. I’ve had many vegan karaage in Japan so far but this one was the juiciest for sure.

I got takeout - green curry and karaage and it came out fast and was still delicious by the time I got back to eat it! The karaage came with a lemon slice but I didn’t like the lemon on it 😆

Very delicious - Edit
I went in 2019. I remember we had to wait a bit for a table only a little bit after it opened (we didn't do reservation). It wasn't a long wait, and we sat at the lower floor. We got a whole bunch of food to try as much as we could and it was delicious! We had ain soph ripple previously and they are both so different but so good. I will always comeback to ain soph locations on my next trip to japan.

Quite unique small vegan resto - Edit
The food is fantastic so is the service. It’s quite pricy but justified. Check out the menu up front for lunch or dinner as options are limited to 2-3 mains and if you are not fan of mushrooms you might be left with 1.
Read moreThe place is extremely small and the set up gives no privacy between the only 3 tables on 2nd floor. Just take it into account.

Huge amounts of lettuce & plain rice - Edit
Both our meals were mostly lettuce (and large, undressed kale leaves) and the taco rice had a huge pile of plain rice. We left hungry. The crème brûlée was delicious though.
