Best vegan option in Salem - Edit
Every time I come to Salem I come here - I’ve never had a bad dish. My favorite is the chickpea shakshuka - and I love their hummus with all my heart.

fantastic place! (might deserve five stars) - Edit
I walked in on a Sunday afternoon, into a restaurant empty save for me and staff. Getting the food took quite a while, I think because they made the food from scratch. No expert, but it tasted that good.
Read moreWhat I ordered: falafel pita with fries, without tomatoes (as I requested). Have to say, it exceeded my expectations and I don't think I have ever such a filling meal at a restaurant. What miracles do they employ to stuff so much food in a pita? Tons of fries, too. Seemingly infinite quantities of food. A special word on the fries: salted, just enough. Not too little, not too much, by them, not me.
Friendly and smiling staff, who I could tell cared about the place. A little too absorbed in their phones but then under the circumstances, I understand. (And I hate cell phones.) One small suggestion: would like to have sipping sauces as in European places, for the fries.
Please stay in business forever!
Pros: Magnificent , Delicious , Filling
Cons: Long wait time, Staff on phones , No dipping sauce for fries

Great find, delicious food! - Edit
Freshly made delicious food. Really, very delicious. Adea, the owner, says that the descrer to the food being so good is that it is all made in the restaurant and all always fresh, so that it maintains its flavor.

Amazing salad & hummus - Edit
We ordered a salad bowl with falafel and hummus, chickpeas & rice, and fries. Everything was excellent. The salad was fresh and would even be delicious without the falafel. We will definitely visit again!

Amazing falafel - Edit
Wow - this place was amazing! I got the falafel sandwich French fries combo. The pita bread was nice and spongy, the falafel was crisp, and it was packed with a cabbage salad. One of the best falafel sandwiches I've ever had! French fries were hand cut and thick. All vegetarian. Definitely recommended.

Falafel Paradise - Edit
Falafel, like pizza, is a highly variable food: people have their own preferences and one person's delight is another's abomination. From my point of view ,-- and I am not alone -- this is as good as falafel gets. They're small and crispy and chewy; the pita's freshly baked and the salad ingredients are fresh, too. Other middle eastern specialties -- hummus, baba, grape leaves, eggplant -- are just as good. The prices are reasonable, too -- you can get a falafel-in-a-pita and a large order of delicious french fries for ten bucks. Enjoy it!

Incredible, best restaurant in Salem - Edit
Update Nov. 2021: chiming in several years later to reiterate the fact that Adea’s is still the best restaurant in Salem. The owner is one of the nicest people in town and is always 100% consistent.
Read moreSmall menu but that’s no problem because everything on it is incredible. Easily some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in the entire country. Ask for the “vegan sabbich” sandwich. The whole menu is vegetarian and most options are vegan.
Hours can change because it’s basically a one-person operation so be sure to call ahead if you are worried about them being open or not.

Best Place in Salem! - Edit
I got the lunch special and it was amazing. It come with soup, rice, salad, hummus, falafel, and pita. The staff was super nice and threw in a couple stuffed grape leaves as well. Everything tasted so good and it was a lot of food for only $10. I highly recommend this place if you are in town. I can't wait to go back.
Read moreAlso, almost everything is vegan except for a few egg dishes but they can substitute the egg out for eggplant. So basically everything is vegan if you ask.

Great mediterranean lunch place. Has been take away only the entire time I've lived here, but the food has always been top notch. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. I wish they opened in the evenings. Salem needs more places like this!

Good food! - Edit
I got delivery because of covid, but I got the falafel and fries, and the dolma. The food was pretty good, and it's nice ordering from a completely veg place! I wish their website was a little more clear about what is and isn't vegan, as the menu did not match up with what was available on grubhub etc. Good option for gluten free and vegan, also!

Best veg food in Salem - Edit
Adeas is not an average falafel joint. The food is lovingly prepared fresh daily and is bursting with flavor. The pita is thick and warm. The grape leaves are hot and toasty. The hummus is fluffy. The fries are hand cut. The owners are super sweet and always take care of me. Everything is certified Kosher. Everything is vegan except for eggs in the sabbich and shakshuka. Everything is GF except pita. Best thing (not) on the menu is vegan sabbich. Opening hours follow Jewish traditions and holidays.

The best falafel you will ever have - Edit
Adeas is our go to whenever we are in Salem. They have hands-down the best Mediterranean food in New England. The staff are always very friendly and professional and the food is incredible. We typically order the Adea’s sampler and falafel platter with soup. The pricing is fair, the service is fast, and the dining room is minimalistic but very clean. All of the food is vegetarian which is a huge plus.

Good but limited menu - Edit
Adeas is probably best for a quick and uncomplicated lunch. The falafel is crisp, the hummus is tangy, and the pitas are pleasantly floury. There's not much in the way of sides or toppings, but the chili sauce is good and the prices are reasonable.
