Nice hideout in Santorini - Edit
Very nice vegan food, the owner was very inviting and friendly. We liked the potato soup and the eggplant roll alot. It had a nice rooftop terrace, free of the busy streets.

The best find in Santorini, from the location to the hospitality of the staff and not to forget the food. Absolutely gorgeous dishes and lovely cocktails. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so warming and welcoming. We had an incredible experience here and I would recommend to anyone.

I called and they told me the restaurant closed at 11pm. They did not mention that the kitchen closes at 10pm or i would have showed up before then. I got there at 10:20pm and they would not seat or serve me. I am honestly devastated because this is the only fully vegan restaurant in town & I am so tired of having super minimal options at every other place here.

The dishes were very creative and beautifully presented. Be prepared to pay a lot for very minimal food. This is more an experience than a meal. The service was excellent and the owner was very friendly. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance with outdoor seating.

Most expensive meal I've had in santorini so far BUT the food is great, everybody is friendly and the seating is comfortable. If you have the budget for it, definitely add it as a stop on your trip!

This restaurant was so good! We went during lunchtime and were the only ones in the dining area - the staff and owner were very friendly and the food was delicious. Everything was vegan. However, it was pretty expensive.

Very Rude Service Experience - Edit
We were super excited to dine here on our first night in Santorini as we had seen only wonderful things in the reviews, but unfortunately our experience was underwhelming and fairly awkward. When we got there, the rooftop was completely empty except one couple at a table. The waiter seated us directly next to the couple (like, table separated by 6 inches). We were uncomfortable with feeling like a part of their dinner and they were visibly uncomfortable too, so we scooted down a table of our own accord. I will say the drinks were phenomenal (virgin bees knees and house red wine) and the nanobeat was absolutely incredible - the cashew mozzarella and green beans were incredibly delicious. If my meal had just been that dish I would have been happy. We also ordered the potato soup that was just ok (needed more seasoning, specifically black pepper and maybe some spice). But the fava bean dip was straight up bad, like the flavor of the dip was extremely off, the toppings didn’t make sense (beets that tasted canned, whole grain mustard, and pickled fennel which was the only part of the dish we liked). They also serve you 2 tiny little bread rolls (1 per person) that you have to pay €4.50 extra for… like the size of a golf ball. When the female server came around, she asked if we didn’t like the dip as we had barely touched it, and we told her that honestly it tasted pretty off and we didn’t like it. She was kind about it and took our dishes away and brought out our risotto. The risotto sauce was extremely rich, and paired with the hearty barley and extremely sharp cream cheese drizzle it was too much - i took two bites and had to stop as the richness was making me nauseous. My partner managed a bit more than me but we still left the plate only half eaten by the end. We were initially planning on getting the cheesecake for dessert but after our negative experience with the food we decided to pass.

We told him it just tasted a little off and we didn’t like the flavors and he said “oh, well everyone else likes it so that doesn’t make any sense”. i thought it would be followed by an offer to take it off our bill since we hardly touched it, but no - that was it. he also tried to charge us in USD with a 9% conversion fee and we had to stop him and make him show us that he was charging in euros. the whole thing felt sort of like a scam and it was a bummer.

The food was not great. I was so excited to try a fully vegan restaurant on santorini, but this place disappointed. Bland and chewy. Everything looked nice, tasted bland, and for the price it really wasn’t what you’d expect.

In summary: we enjoyed ourselves, but nothing wowed us, the prices are wildly high for what you get, and the decor is not as fancy as you'd expect. You're also asked to put down a €30 registration deposit per-person, which is something we've never experienced before and wasn't the best first impression.

We went the night they opened for the season, which happened to be my wife's birthday. It was spectacular! If it moved to New York City it would be mobbed. The ambience could not be beaten.

We ate here in September 2022 - we had Mamas Plant Balls and the Garden Bowl. Very tasty and great service. The portion size for the plant balls was slightly too small (probably me being greedy!), and it was quite expensive… although being one of the only vegan options in the area, it’s not too surprising. Would definitely go here again if we return to Santorini.

Your vegan oasis on Santorini - Edit
I was quite excited about this place, headed here right after arriving to Thira. The location is right in the center, but you’ll get the outdoor seating on the roof so it’s pretty calm. The food is quite good and the service is also. It might not be the best food you’re eaten, but it is a great place on an island that is not so vegan-friendly. In fact, I liked so much I had to come back the next morning.

Classy Vegan on the Island - Edit
I was super excited to try 5Senses when I was planning my trip to Santorini. I booked a table for myself but during the low season, you won't have trouble getting a table.
Read moreI had the Rainbow Salad (16€) and the Risotto with Violife Chicken (22€), which happens to a sponsoring company of the establishment. The salad was a great change of pace from all the falafels I had been having and was a refreshing start. My beetroot risotto was delicious although quite salty for my liking. However, presentation of both dishes was wonderful and on point.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to enjoy the outdoor dining but I've heard the views are lovely. The dining area is on the second floor while the first floor offers take-away pastries such as donuts, which was also delicious.

I loved the food, never had much Greek food before so this was all new to me. Staff were lovely and gave us a complimentary drink when we arrived which was super delicious. Portions for mains are a little bit too small but thankfully we had a side dish alongside them.
