Best vegan option near LA convention center

Despite LA being one of the best cities in North America in terms of vegan options, for some reason, the LA Convention center area is a food desert when it comes to plant based options. As I was walking around a late at night during AX, on the verge of passing out from hunger, I wandered into yard house based on reviews I saw here that said it was passable.

To my surprise, they had more options than expected including a 1/2 lb beyond burger with vegan mozzarella AND it was one of the best-prepared beyond burgers I’ve ever had. Service was nice, and the strawberry lemonade was banger as well. Vegan menu options were labeled. Would 100% recommend to people in town for the convention.

Cons: $17 for the beyond burger , Crowded, longer wait

very satisfied!

Visited with non-vegan family. Impressed by the gardein menu, ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich with no mayo (spoke to the waiter about this being vegan) however, it came with cheese on. I asked if it was cheese (non vegan) and no question he asked “you didn’t want cheese? Let me take that for you” and ordered a replacement without hesitation. Minor mishap, however superb service throughout with delicious food.

Pros: helpful staff, good management , delicious food!

Cons: knowledge of menu could be better

Not for vegans

I went to this restaurant with two non-vegan friends. I was told that they cannot guaranty that the food would be prepared suitable for vegans. So, I choose not to eat there at all. The Yard House should be taken off the Happy Cow list as they do not want to accommodate vegans at all.
