On a long layover I decided to take a bus ride uptown. I looked at happy cow and saw this woman/ lgbtq owned spot with great reviews to boot and I knew I had to make the trek. Walked straight from the station 45 min w all my luggage like total ragged vagabond.
Read moreI love Reubens and, since having gone vegan, have been trying them from various eateries all around. This one was unique bc it uses mushrooms rather than a meat analogue. It was delish- super tangy, melty, rye-ey, yummy. The folks are super cool, and it’s a totally sweet vibe there. They also offer beer, juice, cbd/thc infused sodas, and bucha… the prices are not bad also
Would love to be around long enough to try it all.

A cute place to get a tasty lunch with some friends. The taco salad and nachos were great. The chocolate peanut butter pie not as much but we enjoyed ourselves!

Holy moly!!! - Edit
I’ve only been here twice and both times blew me away! First time, I tried their Philly and it rocked! They use portobello mushrooms as their “meat”. Second time, I had their Ruben. Holy moly! Delicious! I couldn’t stop eating it while burning the hell out of my mouth. Totally worth it! I’ll definitely be back! RUN to this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Soul Miner: A Vegan Haven Worth the Trip to Charlott - Edit
Hidden in Charlotte, Soul Miner is a culinary destination that every vegan (and non-vegan) should have on their radar. This spot has mastered the art of plant-based comfort food, offering dishes that are so delicious, they're worth crossing state lines for.
Read moreMust-Try Dishes:
Vegan Wings: These are the star of the show. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. They're so good, they'll make you forget about traditional wings altogether.
Brussels Sprout Side: Not just an afterthought, this side dish is a standout. The brussels sprouts are cooked to perfection, creating a dish that's both comforting and exciting.
Price Point: While Soul Miner might not be the cheapest option around, the quality of the food more than justifies the price. Each bite reminds you why you're happy to pay a little extra for exceptional vegan cuisine.
Why It's Worth the Trip: Soul Miner isn't just a restaurant; it's a destination. The consistently delicious food makes it a must-visit spot every time you're in Charlotte. It's the kind of place that turns a regular trip into a culinary adventure.
Bottom Line: If you find yourself anywhere near Charlotte, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for Soul Miner. Your taste buds will thank you, and you'll understand why this spot has earned its place as a vegan hotspot worth traveling for.

Great vibe, great food, cool location - Edit
A great quick vegan lunch in a hip, funky location — the kind of food you hope to happen upon while traveling while vegan and catching up with an old friend! We shared the Reuben (delish) and the Buffalo wing basket with a side of collards (both perfect). This is a go to destination while in Charlotte for a low key lunch or dinner with very rewarding eats!

Happy FIVE! Flew in from Baltimore and was super excited to find this adorable spot. Notably not a mushroom fan (I know worst kind of vegan) tried the Ruben (because a Ruben on St.Pattys weekend is kinda a must) and wow! Delish! Wish we lived closer because this spot is it! Don't change a thing! 🫶🏼🪬💚

Out of towners - Edit
This was our first stop when looking for vegan food options being from Maryland where we have NO vegan restaurants. OMG! was the food fkn delicious! We got the Ruben, steak and cheese and a side of buffalo waffle fries with ranch dressing. We were in heaven. The women running the show were phenomenal and we asked for other vegan restaurants in the area that they would recommend she immediately wrote down various places for us to try. I would highly recommend this place to any vegan or meat eater who wants to eat really amazing and cruelty free options!

Great food, great people. - Edit
This place has it all - delicious foods (my favorites are the Ruben, BBQ tacos, and loaded nachos) and is owned by the best humans! If the peanut butter pie is on the menu for the day - absolutely get a slice, you will not be disappointed! These folks are also amazing with allergy needs. Everything is 100% vegan, and made with love and (com)passion.

A great option for vegan food in North Carolina - Edit
My husband and I stopped here on our way back north from a road trip to South Carolina. I got their loaded nachos and it was everything I could have asked for; the locally made tortilla chips were phenomenal, the cheese sauce was delicious, and the veggies were super fresh. They ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the BBQ Sliders and the side of potato salad, that my husband ordered, were pretty small and not quite enough for him. I wish I was closer so I could try more of their menu items out because I genuinely enjoyed their food! I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Even though it was sad news, hearing that PlantJoy was going to be closing, it was great to learn that Soul Miners Garden would be taking over the spot. Great staff, and great vegan food to be found. I had had their food when they were a few truck and was really impressed.
