Fave spot for group dinners - Edit
The owners are vegan! They are constantly updating/increasing the vegan options. They have lots of menu items as others have noted. They also serve cake by the slice from Strawberry Snail baker, and they have daily specials which are sometimes vegan. The salad bar is also quite nice as an add on to a meal. I love coming here in nice weather and sitting on the back patio, I love coming here with extended family because there’s something to appease anyone, I love coming here in winter because it’s decorated with lights and bows, I love coming here because it’s a proper sit down experience without any kind of fanciness expected. Very much a bar/tavern vibe. The only downside is the prices which are high in my opinion, but I guess that’s everywhere now. I got tendies and fries as my entree last time I went and I think it was $17 before tax and tip, and I added on the salad bar so it was even more. I’d give it 5 stars but I can’t bc it’s not fully vegan.

Vegan Fine Dining - Edit
I'll be the first to admit that this place is mostly not vegan--and if you're anything like me, their pages worth of Italian steakhouse options look awful tempting. However, the options I did have were amazing, along with the great service you'd expect from this sort of place.

So many vegan options! - Edit
My husband and I were so pleased to see so many vegan options on the menu! It seems rare to get that many vegan choices in a restaurant upstate. He had the new age bolognese which was so flavorful, we shared the delicious buffalo cauliflower bites with vegan ranch, and I had a pizza! So lovely for a vegan diet to be well accommodated and thought behind the dishes.

Great options - Edit
They had some of the best vegan seitan wings I've had. They don't look like wings, more like nuggets, and initially don't look like they'll be good. But they are! Try them. Even the parents liked them.
Read moreI also got to chorizo vegan wrap. That was a 7/10. It was pretty good but the veggies were a little too greasy/wet for the wrap. Some folks like that but if you don't, beware. Or maybe ask for fresh vege instead. I think it would have been better with raw onions, tomatoes, and some Lettuce.

Best Vegan Pizza - Edit
My husband and I have gone to Lanie's numerous times now for their vegan cheezy chorizo pizza. Every time it has been delicious. The price is great and you get a large portion. We just learned they have an oreo pie that's vegan so we tried that yesterday. It was AMAZING! Highly recommend this place.

Great vegan options - Edit
A sit-down restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and really good vegan options, which are labeled on the menu. They even have a vegan dessert—Oreo cream pie, which is made by Take Two Cafe (a vegan cafe in Schenectady, for those who may not be familiar). I tried the Seitan wings, a pizza with vegan cheese (the vegan pizza listed on the menu has chorizo which I suspect would have been too spicy for me, so I just requested a plain vegan pizza), the new-age bolognese, and the Oreo cream pie. It was all very good!
Read moreJust an update to say that this has become my favorite pizza to get in the capital region. I can’t think of any other place around here that have vegan cheese and a crust this thick (which is my personal preference). My go-to is a simple vegan cheese and black olive pizza—so good!

Lanie’s Café catered some vegan dishes for a party. We had the Buffalo cauliflower with vegan ranch, the chorizo pizza, and the bolognese (all vegan of course). Everything was delicious and the Buffalo cauliflower was my favorite.
