Traditional pub food - Edit
Hotel looks like it’s been refurbished recently, staff very friendly and a cosy and pleasant atmosphere. Not sure if management has changed from previous reviews. Food was filling and hearty and the lentil cottage pie really rich. 4 options for vegans and only 2 sorbets options for dessert.

So good we went twice! - Edit
Lovely pub in a fantastic location overlooking the sea. They have a separate vegan menu and I was in the unusual position of having to choose. On our first visit I had the 'fish' and chips and on the second visit I had schnitzel with veg, chips and a mustard sauce, both times the food was lovely. There was the option of ice-cream for pudding but I didn't have room either time. Friendly staff and dog friendly too.

Good food I agree but I was put off by the 15% service charge automatically added onto the bill.

Very Accommodating and Delicious - Edit
We were on a tight schedule to catch the last ferry and they were able to help by taking our order early. The separate vegan menu is always appreciated. We loved all of our food as well as their scotch selections!

Best vish and chips - Edit
The banana blossom and chips was truly one of the nicest that I’ve ever had. The bb was formed into little patties and fried. The tartare sauce was delicious, as was the house chips (not from a bag clearly!!). Arran vegan vanilla ice cream was also available.

Outstanding and definitely worth a visit - Edit
I would give 5 stars if I could. The food was lovely and very wholesome. All cooked and seasoned perfectly and as good as any vegan only restaurant I've been too. So good we went back the next day. A vegan menu with lots of choices and generous portions. Very friendly and very dog friendly. The beer garden is also a really nice place to sit and have a pint of tennents while looking out to sea. Make sure you book as it was fully booked the second time we went.
