Excellent food!

This place is a bit pricey, but the food is outstanding. Indoor seating is extremely limited. They change the menu every so often but I’ve enjoyed just about everything I’ve tried. I always leave with my stomach full.

Fry Bread?!

I’ve never had fry bread but now I’m a huge fan. I couldn’t believe how yummy and flavorful the fry bread special was. Such friendly people and the peanut butter cookies were yummy too.

Great frybread!

They've got delicious frybread including a good frybread black bean burger. The portion sizes are a little small for the price but otherwise it's solid.

Amazing fry bread

I have loved this place ever since they opened! The two fry bread dishes are consistently their stand-outs. Most people prefer the version with pinto beans, but I also love the one with black beans, tofu, and cheezey sauce. They also have excellent tamales, blue corn bread, posole, nachos, and enchiladas. Honestly, everything here is great. I haven't tried their drinks yet because they are kind of expensive. I've eaten here many times as a local and will continue to do so. This is a unique experience if you're visiting Albuquerque, especially if you just got done visiting the Pueblo Cultural Center (a fantastic museum, worth seeing). Don't miss this joint!

Vegan fry bread

This place is vegan. I think you can ask for honey or bee pollen, but everything on the menu is vegan. They have breakfast and lunch. Everything was great and I’ve never seen vegan fry bread before.

Pros: Vegan fry bread, Smoothies , Breakfast and lunch

Friendly and good food

Overall a solid option for vegan food, but not my favorite. My husband loved the fry bread special with squash, corn, tofu, and red chile sauce.
I had an enchilada dish, which was good, but not great. It was made with a flour tortilla, stuffed with kale, and did not have any sauce over it.
We also had prickly pear lemonade and tried the blue corn bread, both worth trying.
Service was really friendly.

Fry Bread 💯

Native American almost-100% vegan spot with fry bread, tacos, and burritos. We loved what we ordered, and couldn’t even finish the huge portions!

Pluses and Minuses

We visited this restaurant while on a road trip across the country. We loved getting to try native foods such as blue corn waffles and fry bread. We thought the food was too expensive. It was good, but it is counter service and the presentation didn't seem to match up with the price. A regular iced tea is $7, which seems very over priced. There is a tamale plate for $20 and it comes with rice and beans and then an a la carte tamale that just has the 2 tamales for $9. We didn't think it would be worth it to pay $11 for the side dishes so we opted for the a la carte, but we found out that it is $3 to add a sauce to the tamales, which isn't mentioned on the menu. I'd still recommend giving the food a try, but I wouldn't go too hungry probably. **Five stars because we used to own a vegan cafe and we know that things are *so hard.* We really count on Happy Cow reviews though to plan our road trips so we wanted to share what we actually thought.

Great lunch spot

They offer a variety of vegan dishes, including many from southwestern cuisine. What we got was delicious, and the waffles that people nearby got looked amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their offerings!

Our highlight in Albuquerque

Eating here was such a joy. We almost missed this place because it wasn't listed here as vegan, but if you avoid the smoothies, you're pretty safe. Really delicious.

Amazing!!!

We road-trip across country A LOT. We depend on Happy Cow and the reviews to lead us to great places to eat. This place didn’t let us down. First, it is easy to get to off I-40. Second, the food is amazing! We ordered the tamale plate and the fry-bread platter. The tamale plate was spicy and good. But, the FRYBREAD platter was absolutely incredible! Also, make sure you get a piece of blue corn cornbread. This is going to be a guaranteed stop every time we drive thru ABQ!

Nowhere to sit. Not senior friendly

The menu is very high up on the wall in chalk. Very hard for seniors (and others) to read. Counter service restaurant that won’t even serve food to the tables five feet away. Only three tables indoors (one of which is directly outside the restroom) and outdoor tables are unshaded. Walls are blank and white—they do not want you dining in. Bus your own tables (but you are certainly asked to tip at purchase). Apart from smoothies, food is carefully prepared, hot, and not handheld, so don’t understand why the lack of a seated dining experience.

Unfortunately, the Grain bowl was flavorless and dry (probably better if you can stand green chile —I can’t). I wanted so badly for this restaurant to be great, given so very few vegan options in Abq, but it did nothing to impress or convert my vegan-curious family.

Pros: One of few vegan options in town, Probably supports native population , Hot, fresh made food

Cons: Few places to sit, no ambience, Counter service and self-bus, Grain bowl dry and flavorless

Great food! Super friendly staff! Lots of parking!

I stopped in on my way to the airport wanting something to hold me over for several hours. The woman working recommended the Taco, and man she was right! It was super delicious and HUGE and I was plenty satiated and didn’t have to hunt for vegan junk food during my layover.

Pros: Welcoming and helpful staff, Delicious and healthy vegan food
