Not that vegan-friendly - Edit

From the review on here and Google, I was expecting veg items to be marked on the menu or at least have knowledgeable staff, but that's not what I got today. The gentleman who waited on me knew that vegans didn't eat meat and that was about the extent of his knowledge. At first he told me most of the dishes could be made vegan if I asked for no meat or subbed tofu. Then I asked him which items had fish sauce. He claimed that most of them did. He directed me to the fried rice, pad soon wen, and veggie stir-fry as my only options. (I really hope he wasn't confusing gf with fish sauce.) He was a younger man with no accent and I do not have one either, so I know it wasn't a language barrier. I ordered the pad soon wen without egg. It was ok, but bland. Not a bunch of spices like I was used to at most Thai restaurants. The good parts were the service was very fast, the staff was polite, and my food was piping hot. I may try them again in the future and see if I get a different response. The little store was pretty cool, but most of the confections we're chock full of chemical preservatives. I bought some loose-leaf Thai tea that I was familiar with.

Pros: Food was hot temperature., Service was super fast., Polite staff.

Cons: Not knowledgeable about vegan diet., Menu smelled bad., Lack of options.
