Promised much but failed to deliver.

Part of the Whitbread chain, it was great to see a full vegan menu again after being withdrawn during covid. Nice pub restaurant with friendly staff.
Unfortunately on this occasion we had a pretty bad experience.
Side salad and pickles were missing from the burger.
Items missing from the two nourish bowls.
Children's pasta dish missing vegetable sticks and when they did finally arrive it consisted of just cucumber, no pepper or carrot.
No vegan ice-cream was available for the children's dessert.
In addition there was an extremely long wait to be served and for the food to arrive.
The manager was very apologetic and knocked all the incomplete meals off the bill.
However, over all, an awful experience.

Pretty good

Seperate vegan menu, with good choices. Staff were a little slow and had to check with chefs before answering vegan-related questions.

Pros: Seperate vegan menu, Good options, Tasted good

Lovely country restaurant.

Went for Sunday dinner as a group. The rest of my party raved about the Sunday roasts but sadly no vegan roast on offer.
Vegan options were limited but ok. I had the nourish bowl and crumble which were delicious. Really wanted the billionaires bar for pudding but they had ran out, but i got the impression they are not used to a lot of vegan diners so i suspect they didn't prepare any of this pudding.
Also ordered tea after dinner & they had no non-dairy milk options at all.

Pros: 4-5 vegan options per course, Very accommodating wait staff , Lovely atmosphere

Cons: Famous for roasts but no vegan roast , Ran out of vegan desserts, Could not offer diary free milk for my tea
