Delicious, SO cheap - Edit
Incredible value, at $15 for a large takeaway vegan meal that includes 2 big scoops of rice, 4 vegetable dishes (from green beans in a coconut sauce, green mango curry, lentils, potatoes, and pumpkin), and 2 condiments (from coconut sambal, chilli, pineapple chutney, mango chutney, pickled lime, and kale). It comes with a bag of delicious mini papadams.
Read moreWe chose all the veggies except the lentils, and everything was delicious — especially the pumpkin dish, which had a fantastic texture and flavour. The pineapple condiment was also great.
Staff were nice, although for a vegan-forward restaurant, they were not very well informed about veganism: they couldn't name which desserts, if any, were vegan, and offered us jelly (with gelatin) and, later, fried rice (with egg). If you're vegan, be careful and double (or even triple, which we had to do) check everything.
The atmosphere is lovely, although to enjoy it you would have to pay $30 a head for the eat-in buffet. The space was also VERY loud, with an incessant phone and random high-pitched beeping.
All in all, the meal we had was delicious and big enough to share, and we're already looking forward to going back, so we'd highly recommended it!
Pros: Huge vegan range, super tasty food, cheeeeeap
Cons: Staff uninformed about veganism, hard to find parking, eat-in prices are expensive and the space is loud

Value - Edit
It can be very hard to get good value as a vegan when eating out. For some reason morality has a tax. However, Citrus is definitely great value as well as very tasty. Also a bit of a gem, not that much good Sri Lankan around these parts.

Plenty of options - Edit
$25 for all you can eat and there’s plenty of vegan options, all clearly labeled. It was all quite tasty but did have that slight reduction in flavour that you often get from a buffet.

I can’t go past a buffet and I trust @yoeyvegan’s reviews of Sri Lankan food! Citrus did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded my expectations. More than half of the buffet was vegan and clearly marked. It’s $17 all-you-can-eat, discounted to $15 if you pay cash. Choose biryani or yellow rice, or try both like I did. I sampled all of the vegan curries today which included dahl, cashew, sweet potato, beetroot, green beans. I added most of the available condiments too, of which their were at least half a dozen. I laughed when the staff piled my plate high then said I could come back for more...but it was so delicious I did go back for another scoop of my favourites. Would go back and enjoy a meal with omni fam.

Lots of vegan options - Edit
We came here for lunch (buffet) all you can eat. There were 8 hot dishes and 6 of them were vegan. You pay and get your plate then help yourself. There are also papadums, and coconut and kale cold dishes. The dishes were all tasty and had different flavours. I really liked the yellow dhal and mixed vegetables in particular. I’d definitely go back

Delicious Sri Lankan Cuisine - Edit
We went here for the buffet lunch option and there were so many vegan choices, and they were delicious! The food was very flavourful, not too spicy and very morish! All you can eat for $15 is such a bargain, and we ate plenty. All the vegan choices are clearly labeled, and the food is pretty much all gluten free as well. Being of Sri Lankan origin, I can attest the food is great! The owner and staff are super friendly too.
