Unfair pay and treats their workers horribly - Edit
The Be-hive used to be one of my fav spots and while the strikers got some of their demands. Fair pay didn't seem to be one of them which makes me sad for how much money I've given them in the past and seemingly none of it is going to the people actually working making my food and talking to me.😒great recipes but awful owners
Read morePros: good food
Cons: doesn't pay employees well, not a lot of indoor seating, union busting

UnBElievably good - Edit
I was a STAN for this place on Facebook. Following their weekly rotations of specials, dreaming of a time I could try their food. Luck would have me staying in Nashville for a night and I made sure to hit this spot up. 10/10 worth the lure.

Simply delicious - Edit
I wish we had room to take the entire deli with us but I doubt the TSA would have been that forgiving. In all seriousness, we got take out twice while in town and I can't wait to go back again!

Would give one star - Edit
Owner is a “flexitarian” who says he wants be hive to be the “vegan Starbucks.” Yikes. Union busting losers selling overpriced food you can make at home with some seitan practice. Go to sunflower instead

No vegan morals - Edit
The CEO and founder decided to lay off half of the production facility's staff with 0 notice on 03-02-26. They only offered 40 hours of severance, when most of us weren't making enough anyway, and on the contingency that we sign a no disparagement clause that we have filed a complaint over. They terminated health insurance for cut employees 2 days before they were told they were being let go. Pivoted last minute and let go 3 additional employees who were organizing a discussion about pay, without even notifying the production manager beforehand. He found out when the cut lead called and told him, after he got off his shift and after we had already been let go. Have not yet spoken to a worker who was scheduled to be let go, so she does not know if she's employed or not. Another worker scheduled to be let go was instead kept on when everyone else walked out to strike, because she couldn't risk not having a paycheck as a spanish speaking immigrant (note that she would have been laid off had we not gone on strike). The owners encouraged people in their deli to call the police on us for picketing on the public sidewalk, threatening that they would do so if we stepped onto their side of the parking lot again. Also, the owner hasn't been vegan since before COVID. The morals of this company's leadership do not reflect veganism. Make vegan choices.
Read morePros: I love being fired with no notice :), I love my coworkers, We got 40 hours of PTO per year 😃

Surprised by all the good reviews - Edit
I’ve put off writing a review of be hive because I really want to support vegan businesses, but now that the word is out that they don’t treat their employees well, I don’t feel bad sharing how bad their food is!
Read moreTheir food makes me feel terrible every time I eat it. So greasy and salty. I found pieces of plastic in my take out twice. So disappointing!
Graze, guerrilla bizkits, flora and fauna, dose, elegy, and e rose are all much better options on the east side for vegan sandwiches, burritos, salads, etc.

my favorite vegan resturant in nashville - Edit
the best restaurant for vegan food in the Nashville area.
Read morethe burrito is the best. Their subs made with fake deli meat are also very good. most vegan deli meat taste like twice digested baloney, but not the ones you get from here.
if you haven't been here, then do yourself a favor and make it the next restaurant you go to.
Pros: everything
Cons: im not able to eat here everyday

Bomb spicy Seitan Chicken Sandwich - Edit
The spicy Nashville chicken sandwich is one of the best vegan foods I've ever had!! The potato salad is also bomb!! Fries were kinda soggy and super salty but that's probably because of the delivery. I also ordered the chocolate sprinkle cookie which was huge and incredibly sweet! Overall I think the food was super tasty but quite heavy on the stomach for sure. I hope to visit the physical location as well once I'm back In Nashville!

New favourite place - Edit
As soon as you walk in you see a sign saying they’re celebrating 11 years in business.
Read moreThat’s definitely not an accident. They know exactly what they’re doing and do it really really well. I’ve been to a lot of vegan spots all over North America and I’ve found again and again that the ones that last have a habit of hitting a menu that can be a pick your own vegan adventure between healthy, fun, familiar or novel. Usually served with a dash of punk rock, fitting for a movement that has mostly been a bit anti establishment .
Everything I ate was delicious and this goes right up there for me as one of my favourite vegan places to eat now in the world.
I had a buffalo tofu with sautéed kale and rice and it was everything I wanted.
I loved seeing the protein count on the wall too. As someone who works out regularly and considers that, it is really useful and keeps them accessible for a whole other demographic. It’s also pretty cheap- it’s not a sit down place , it’s a takeaway (though there’s a couple of inviting tables) but at 10-15 dollars for most of the menu, it’s somewhere you could go regularly. Will be back.
UPDATE: been back here 8 times and worked my way through the menu. Everything is delicious. The Be-Hive should be sturdied by vegan eateries all over the world . The best!

BEST MILKSHAKE EVER - Edit
Dairy or otherwise this is the BEST strawberry milkshake I’ve ever had! I would literally buy this recipe if they’d sell it to me. If you’re in Nashville stop in and get one but do it at the beginning of your trip so you can go back before your vacation ends! I’m not a chocolate shake fan but theirs won me over. You can get other food items from their plant-based deli (sandwiches, nachos, subs, etc) and small grab-and-go marketplace. If you’re hankerin’ some vegan pizza look up Nicky’s Coal Fired (also in Nashville) because Be-HIVE supplies them with vegan meat and cheese (I have a review on HC for NCF pizza). LOVE this place so much and excited to go back this fall.

Husband and I went here when visiting Nashville for a few days. Super friendly people and a fully vegan menu. Had the best seitan fried chicken sandwiches. My mom, who is not vegan, also really enjoyed her lunch (cheezburger quesadilla). Definitely recommend!

Ordered the crunch wrap and was shook at the amount of flavor in this taco! I also ordered their Oreo shake… the shake wasn’t horrible but not a favorite, however, I could have ordered 20 of the crunch wrap to go!

I had the Big Chick Sandwich - there’s a choice of seitan or tofu. I went for seitan and it’s one of those foods that doesn’t look great but tasted so soo good.

Very good - Edit
I came here because it was open. The other places I wanted to go to were closed. I’m glad I came. This is a tiny little place with only two booths for seating and a counter with some stools to sit at. The employees were very friendly. At the recommendation of the guy at the counter, I got the classic sub. It was very good. I really enjoyed it. I’ll be back.
