Can’t really go wrong - Edit
Reliably good food, and quite a few options for vegans. We enjoyed the firecracker curry and the Korean tofu hotpot, both really well balanced dishes. It’s not perfect and lacks the distinctiveness of an independent restaurant, but you know what you’re getting and often that’s good enough.

Cons: Could do more vegan dishes!

Summer menu love - Edit
Always amazing choices, had the pulled shiitake koyo bowl - all salad and veg, with edamame, lovely mustard dressing and superb pulled mushroom (I had to check it was mushroom)… makes such a nice change to not be dominated by rice or noodles, really tasty. Well done Wagamamas, please keep this on the menu

Love the options, love the taste. Wish Wagamama had more vegan desserts but you can’t have everything I guess!

Best Wagamama’s - Edit
I have come here many times with friends and family and had a lovely time! Other Wagamama branches have disappointed but this one always gets it right. Cozy atmosphere too😄

Pretty near perfect - Edit
Whilst I can't leave a full five star review for Wagamama's, know that I did in spirit. (Only fully vegan places can get full marks). I have yet to have a bad meal from Wagamama's Guildford, and they always make me feel like I am on top of the world. What helps is the vibe - a visit to Wagamama's with friends is bound to leave you smiling from ear to ear!

Good new options - Edit
We tried some of the newer vegan options since they turned the whole menu 50% vegan. The vegan chilli squid was great, and we were huge fans of the no duck donburi! Staff here were nice, service was a little slow but I find that is generally the case with Wagamama.

Really good vegan options - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. The food is really good especially the sticky "ribs."

Have seriously upped their vegan game! - Edit
Been a while since we came here as the choices weren’t great previously. Hubby decided he was keen for a post lockdown meal and so I reluctantly relented. So pleased I did! Menu has had a complete overhaul with lots of new dishes including Vegan Chilli Squid, Vegan Ribs & Katsu Banana for desert. Also lots of choices for mains now with Seitan as a welcome addition. Definitely back on our regular rotation!

Average Japanese Fusion Food with poor service - Edit
WHAT WE HAD: Yasai Gyoza (£5.75); Yasai Samla Curry (£9.95) – Lemongrass & coconut curry with tofu, peppers, shitake mushrooms and baby plum tomatoes paired with white rice; kare burosu ramen (£10.95) – shichimi-coated silken tofu and grilled mushrooms on udon noodles in curried veg broth, topped with pea shoots, carrot, chili, coriander
Read moreFood is ok as one would expect from Wagamama, flavourful food that isn’t strictly Japanese food but still alright, and at typical high street prices. We would have liked it if it was served piping hot (especially the noodles). The service was a bit slow and unfriendly, one of our orders was forgotten and it took a while for us to get a server’s attention. Disappointing service especially when we were dining in when before the dinner rush, there was only us and 2 other groups of customers at the time.
Pros: Good Vegan Options
Cons: Average food, Poor Service
