    Instructions

    Cook rice and set aside.
    Add oil to a pan until it is heated through and then add all ingredients except tamarind, salt and coriander..
    Fry until you see a color change and then add this to the cooked rice.
    Take tamarind in the same pan, cook for two minutes so it lose its raw smell, then add it into the rice mixture.
    Add salt and coriander to taste. Serve and enjoy.

    Ingredients

    2 cup rice
    1/4 cup tamarind paste (can replace tamarind with lemon, or raw mango)
    4 teaspoon bengal gram
    2 teaspoon mustard seeds
    4 teaspoon ground nuts
    2 teaspoon cumin seeds
    Pinch of turmeric powder
    4 green chills
    1/2 teaspoon ginger (optional)
    Pinch of asafoetida
    Curry leaves, to taste
    Salt, to taste
    Coriander, to taste
    Oil, to taste
