Best food in Hong Kong?!

The Shanghai Spicy Dumplings are the best dumplings I’ve had in my life. The sweet and sour pork, beef noodles and mapo tofu are all top notch as well - seriously as good as they get. This is my new favorite restaurant in Hong Kong!

Pros: Huge menu, Fast service

Creative and tasty

Love this place! Warm atmosphere with friendly staff (limited spoken English but the menu is bilingual) and lots of dishes on the menu that I haven’t seen elsewhere.

Favourite dishes are monkey head mushrooms and the “eel” fried rice. The tofu in ginger soup dessert is worth a try if you like ginger and tofu desserts (texture isn’t for everyone), and they have happy cow vegan ice cream, too.

Pros: Lots of options, non-vegan items clearly market, Creative dishes not found elsewhere, Their complimentary tea is really good!

Suitable for friends/family gathering

My family’s overall evaluation of this restaurant is quite high. It is quite suitable for people bringing non vegans to try it out!

Delicious Chinese in cosy restaurant

Enjoyed all the food I tried here and would like to return to try more.

Labelling for dishes containing eggs and milk which I always appreciate. Almost everything was without egg and milk sign meaning almost all dishes were vegan :)

Recommend the dumplings and monkey head mushroom dish (there were many to try - we went for a wok fried one).

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious

I don't understand the hype

I don't understand the hype around this place. Food is okay but it was super expensive (fried tofu skin 78 plus 20 HKD with service charge). The portion was very small but the most embarassing were the waitresses. They were not paying attention, just chatting with each other and they didn't seem to be kind or attentious. I didn't like the atmosphere because of that, but the food was delicious at least.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Expensive, Small portions, Bad atmosphere

Great Asian food in Hong Kong!

Loved the food we tried here! Huge menu, plenty to choose from. Dumplings were silky smooth and came with a great peanut sauce. Maybe were enormous, we could have easily shared one. Monkey head mushroom stir fry with chilli was fantastic, as was mushroom chilli soup. Will happily go back here again and again.

Tea set

Most of the time I dine here the food is great, but if you prefer less oily option make sure you mention this to the staff. They have a great menu and some of the signature dishes are amazing also

Personal motto "As vegan, we must ourselves be aware of the food ingredients being used and understand that the fact that some restaurants we visit serves a variety that caters different types of vegetarian and must appreciate that this is a positive gateway to encourage people to try out this lifestyle"

Pros: Background music, Pot of tea, Great food

Tasty, Friendly Place

Walked in before dinner opening at 1730 but told to sit and wait. Was the first order taken at opening time. Had the Marinated Snacks, String Beans and Monkey Head Dry Pot. All good but the Monkey Head dish was excellent.
Service was with limited English but certainly friendly. Menu in English. Clean, quick and tasty.

Pros: Vegan. Reasonably large English menu. Friendly sta

Cons: HK prices can be overwhelming. 3 dishes, one small

The food was really delicious and there is a lot of choice. They don't really speak English but somehow we managed to understand each other. You can pay with credit card.

Great food

The food is delicious, English is spoken and there are a variety of meals as well as dumplings. We enjoyed the cold mix entree and several varieties of dumplings. Make sure you leave room for the Birthday Buns (even if it is not your birthday). The place can get busy so come early

Pros: Good variety, English spoken, Delicious food

Cons: Can be crowded

Consistently good

We ate here 3 nights in a row because it was close to where we were staying in Hong Kong when on holidays and because it was so yummy we just wanted to keep going back. We tried a variety of dishes, they were all good. The crispy noodles were excellent, the tofu and bean curd hot pot was yummy and the baked mushrooms with lemon sauce was amazing and unique - like nothing I've ever tried before. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. I miss it already!

Pros: Yummy, Wholesome, Quick service

One of famous veggie places in Mongkok

I still remember that the first time I came here was back in 4-5 years ago when I had not became a vegan. The food here is really good, especially the sichuan spicy series.
I just came here to celebrate my birthday with my omnivore parents. They also like the food. My favorite one is monkey head mushroom in spicy dry pot style. The fried rice here is also good.

However, this place is too famous that there are often lots of people waiting outside for table. There is a time limit for dinner.

Pros: Food is great, Friendly staff, The food is ready really quick

A Welcoming Place

Each time I go here, the staff are always super friendly and accommodating. The food is good, and they're well aware of what vegan is, and will happily explain what dishes have eggs and dairy (which is also indicated on the menu). It's very mock meat heavy, so beware if that's not your thing. They serve happy cow ice cream which is always a good thing!

Pros: friendly staff, nice atmosphere , good portions

Cons: mock meat heavy , many non-vegan dishes

probably one of the best place in HK

Went there today with my parents. Had excellent eggplant and fish dices hot pot (#554), delicious fried monkey head mushrooms with Lily and Asparagus (#503), with very good noodles (#614) and fried assorted vegetables (#303). The pan fried bean curd cake (#304) was more common but good too. My father also tried the apple crumble cheesecake (non-vegan) which he found good yet not as tasty as the Loving Hut chocolate brownies (which I love too). Overall this is a great place , probably one of the best veg restaurant in HK. In total we paid HKD479 which is reasonable.

Absolutely Amazing

Our first meal in Hong Kong was at this restaurant and it was amazing. The food was fresh and full of flavour. In a group of six people every appetiser, main meal and desert ordered was delicious. I will be trying to have as many meals as possible at this restaurant during my stay in Hong Kong.

Pros: Variety of Flavours and Dishes, English Menu, Affordable Prices
