Awesome price/quality ratio!

This place serves chinese and malaysian dishes.
The Laksa was really good, and the "chicken" rice balls were awesome.
The owner is friendly, and the place is simple.
Considering how tasty things were, the price was super inexpensive.
We highly recommend this restaurant. 👌

Pros: Cheap prices, Awesome food, Friendly owner

Nice Malaysian food

My partner and I had a Assam laksa and Mee Rebus (as they were recommended and highly rated on Google review). Honestly, we didn't think it was amazing. It was very cheap though and the staff were really nice. Probably won't go back but it was nice.

Tasty & super cheap

Insanely good value, freshly prepared meals. The menu is quite large however they are open all morning so they may sell out of several of the options by lunch time (when we went at 1pm none of the rice dishes were available - but there were still plenty of noodle dishes to choose from). Basic premises but friendly staff.

Pros: Tasty food, Freshly prepared , Very cheap

Cons: Not open in the evening , Can sell out of some ingredients by lunchtime

Best veg Malaysian food

Of all the restaurants I've been to in Malaysia, this one beats them all. You get to try local dishes in their veg version, with street food prices (7-10RM, March 2024), including "chicken" rice balls. Very flavourful and good portions!
Also, almost everything is vegan except a dish that uses egg noodles - just ask!

Pros: Options, Prices

Cons: Only open at lunchtime

Nice options, cheap

We wanted to try the famous chicken rice balls, they were good! The laksa was a bit weird tasting, as if it had some soapy stuff in it, could be that it is some unknown herb. The owner immediately put a face mask, when we walked in, while there well already other guests sitting, but we were the only foreigners.

Pros: Cheap, Nice vegetarian options of famous dishes

Cons: Bit bland food

Chicken rice

One of the best places in town to try chicken rice or chicken balls. They have a nice menu and specials that changes each day. The food they serve is delicious and the portions are just right. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere. A one of a kind place to eat great food.

Be early to avoid disappointment

Was there for brunch around 11am and some dishes were already sold out, including the mee Siam and chicken rice ball. Nevertheless the chicken rice was yummy too. Very friendly owner.

Inexpensive V Chinese

Very inexpensive vegetarian Chinese restaurant.

The chicken and rice balls is a local special. The balls were tasty and, although limited, the chicken was as well. The veggies and noodles and fish head soup weren’t bad either.

You can get three meals here for the price of one at a sit down restaurant but quality takes a bit.

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Limited options and protein

Famous Malacca Chicken Rice Ball Veg version

The veg chick rice ball reflect the special dish in this restaurant. Others food like Laksa, yong tau fu are not bad. There more varieties other then the three mentioned dishes. Every day has one or two specialities too. Highly recommended.

Pros: Lots of option especially breakfast time, Clean, Nice ambient.

Cons: Not opening on Sunday and evening.

It's ok

The dishes look good but aren't as tasty as you might expect. Not bad for a quick stop for lunch but there are better things to eat.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Menu doesn't make any of it look very appealing

Below average

It is nice to have that kind of place in Melaka but the fact that it is almost 100% vegan is the only reason why I went there twice. Just because it was convenient. The food is not good but it is cheap so it is still better than nothing.

Pros: Almost 100% vegan, Cheap

Cons: Not very good, Service could be improved

Good vegan options

We were welcomed with a big smile. The waiter was super friendly. The food was pretty tasty, we were not a fan of the burger. But the mock chicken rice and the mee we had were really good. They have small and big portions, we took the big one and it was a good filling portion. Be aware that a few dishes do contain dairy, just specify vegan/ no dairy and the waiter will help you with your choice.

Pros: Tasty, Good and friendly service, Cheap!

Cons: Not fully vegan, Maybe msg? (Not sure)

Affordable and good

Auntie that served us was friendly and helpful! Advised us to order 3 small portions and a soup to try cos we said we wanted to try a lot😂 I advise calling in advance before heading down bc we went down and they were closed the day before.
Food is rlly affordable and tasty! The chicken rice balls are a must try cos it's a specialty in melaka. We had the mee rebus, wanton mee (just the skin, no fillings!) and the hakka Yong Tau Fu (u get to pick the dishes u want) with tofu. Mee rebus was slightly more sour than the ones I'm used to having but was delicious, my non veg partner slurped it up. Take note of the daily specials so u can choose the right day to come down😜

Pros: Affordable and yummy

So cheap, so good

Large portions, very low prices, delicious food. What more could you want? Tons of locals there and you need to wait a bit to catch someone’s attention to order, but it’s so worth it.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious, Cheap, large portions
