Great Dinner Date! Outstanding Food! - Edit
A great restaurant for a dinner date. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Appetizer was a Tuscan Potato Mushroom Soup. Main course was a Vegan Kale Salad and Vegan Enchilada. Our two shared desserts topped the night off perfectly! We will be back!

All the hype was true! - Edit
I was in the Hudson valley visiting friends, and after seeing the happy cow reviews and hearing what's my friends coworker had to say about Plantae, we made the trip. WOW! Amazing, satisfying, clean food! The kind of home cooked vegan food that is minimally processed but sacrifices nothing on flavor! I brought two of the most carnivorous carnivores here and after this meal they were considering making the switch to a plant based diet themselves! The man whom helped us, I assumed he is the owner, was friendly, funny and really added to the wonderful atmosphere and good conversation that fueled the night. We were the only people in the restaurant, I guess winters are slow. Definitely call ahead of time if you're going during the cold months to see if they're open!

Best Hudson Valley Vegan - Edit
The vegan fare at Plantae is wonderful. Especially impressed by the enchilada cassarole. The ingredients are excellent, nothing seems overdone, nicely balanced and creative vegan food. We'll be going back for more. Get there long before posted closing time or risk a limited menu.

Great! - Edit
We had a really nice meal here. Everything was very good. The menu is modest but better to have a small menu with rock-solid stuff than shoot for the moon. I'm a snob about vegan caesar salads but they nailed it.

Pros: Outdoor seating, Discount for Woodstock Farm Sanctuary members

Plantae Tivoli, NY - Edit
Love it! "Clean Organic Vegan Focus". Great Gluten Free options. Love the Vegan Mac and Cheese, Quesadilla. truly special dish is the "Plantaeful Bowl". Grains, Legumes, Roasted, raw vegetables. A gourmet three course meal. I have only done take out, but place is very light and the people friendly and helpful.

The best vegan restaurant on planet Earth - Edit
Ok, my review title may at first read as hyperbole, but I can't do enough to express my enthusiasm for Plantae, located in beautiful and quaint Tivoli, NY. I've eaten in vegan and vegetarian restaurants on five continents, and all things considered, Plantae tops them all. The food is amazing, thoughtfully and creatively put together, with emphasis on nutrition as well as taste. The bowls are so good I'm at a loss for words to describe. Staff are very friendly and do a great job explaining each day's offerings. The decor is welcoming, relaxing, and fun. Prices are very reasonable, particularly given portion size quality of the food. I would eat here every day given the chance. Try Pantae, you will love it!

New Vegan in Northern Dutchess Cnty - Edit
A welcome addition to the mid Hudson Valley veggie food scene! Have been there twice this January and plan to return regularly. Casual, down to earth atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant. The service was courteous and prompt. The food was very good, tasty and fresh, although more comfort than gourmet. Plantae Bowls, sandwich and soups change regularly for nice variety. They are only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday, but that could change, too. Worth a drive to check it out.

Cons: No alcohol or BYOB!, Hours change, call to confirm, Tivoli is out of the way.

Thanks for the review! When the BARD student return, Feb 1st, our hours will return to normal, with many more dinner services, including family style take-out on tuesdays. Our hours are always updated on our facebook page. BYOB is OK as long as we have less than 20 patrons at the time. NYS regulations, not ours. The menu started with comfort foods in mind, and as time allows will grow to include more gourmet offerings. We're just at the point now of adding fresh desserts and appetizers to our daily offerings. Thanks again.

Excellent New Vegan Restaurant - Edit
We were in Rhinebeck and pressed the button on the Happy Cow app and this restaurant came up. Apparently it had only been up on Happy Cow for two days and had only been open for a couple of weeks. The food was very good and the service was prompt and friendly. The Plantea bowl was delicious. The soup du jour (a squash soup with a lovely apple and chestnut topping) was creamy and rich. The salad with pomegranate and pears was also great. I would definitely recommend this place. I truly unexpected and delightful surprise. In Tivoli!!!
