Nice place - Edit
We've been here already a couple of times. It's a very small place, but so far we always had seats except for one saturday when it was very crowded. They have a regular menu and variable specials. The food is always very tasty, but the portions could be bigger. Main courses cost around 14 euros. Our personal favourites on the menu are 'Kung Bao' (rice with stir-fryed vegetables, cashews and tofu) and the stir-fryed noodles with vegetables and vegan strips. The soup is always tasty as well and they have delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies and other desserts. I noticed that they recently changed their basmati rice to wholegrain rice. They use some organic products. The only thing we aren't so eager about, is the fact that nearly all of their starters are fried (which is not so healthy), and some of the things in their main dishes too. They sell some vegan cheese and vegan cat/dog food in the restaurant.

Nice vegan restaurant. - Edit
It is as lovely as the Loving Hut Veganerie, a great location, wonderful staff, now the concept is slightly different.
Read moreThe food is also all vegan, so it's nice you do not have to worry about that.
Compared to the Loving Hut Veganerie what is more a fast food vegan restaurant, this is more an alternative to a normal vegan restaurant.
The space is smaller, it's more reserved and typically for a 2 persons lunch or diner 'tête-à-tête'.
With 4 on one table it is a bit small and not so comfortable.
The food is also more fine vegan food, and not the fast food style like at Loving Hut Veganerie.
We find it there for a bit less appropriate for kids here.
We would say that this is the intimate reserved vegan restaurant and Loving Hut Veganerie is more the playful, open, fast food vegan restaurant.
Loving Hut proposes these 2 great vegan places in Leuven, both with their own character!
Pros: Nice vegan restaurant, Lovely location & staff, Intimate reserved space
Cons: It's not so big, so better reserve

very nice place, great addition to Leuven - Edit
very friendly and quick service. Food was very good and reasonably priced, except for the cake, which was 4 euro for a tiny piece.
Read moreNice modern interior, and although you wouldn't think so from seeing the tiny entrance, the places are quite spacious. I don't like the stools though, those are very unconfortable (no back support).
It's great to have a full vegan place in Leuven! Will surely go there again.
EDIT: stools have been replaced by chairs :-)

Friendly + tasty - Edit
Staff is very cute, food is all vegan and delicious. I tried out most of their great meals: the zoodles and falafel, mushroom sauce with gluten free pasta, the gluten free summer rolls made (rice wraps with fresh veggies), tofu noodle wok and great silken todu chocolate mousse! Absolutely great place but quite expensive!!!

Good food but expensive - Edit
Very friendly crew and the food was tasty and healthy. I do think it was expensive. Especially the deserts and the kaaskroketten. We paid €12 and only received two small kaaskroketten. They were very tasteful though. I wish it was cheaper so I could go there more often. It's also strange that you can't pay by card, just cash.

Nice but a few downsides - Edit
I've been to a few other loving huts around Europe and though this is nice, I feel it falls short in comparison to some of the others I've been to. Having a 100% vegan menu is of course amazing! however the menu itself feels a bit pricey for what is presented. However credit where it's due, the food is still great and the staff are exceptionally friendly!

Cons: Woked Noodles dish is quite oily/greasy!

Must-go in Leuven - Edit
The food is always super fresh, looks gorgeous and tastes heavenly! Several non-vegetarians I've taken to this place have said that the burger was the best they ever had -- not just best veggie burger, but best burger, full stop. The food is made using seasonal organic produce, so the menu varies between seasons.
Read moreWorth noting is also the overwhelming friendliness of the staff (very unusual for Belgium!). They'll even happily tell you their recipes.
My favourites include the cashew balls and the delicious filled sea-shell pasta, and of course the burgers. Give the aryurveda drinks a try, too, they're more than just lemonades.
Pros: wonderful food, amazing staff, 100% vegan and organic
Cons: the seating is a little cramped

Absolutely delicious, one of the best vegan places I have ever been to. I tasted almost everything! DO eat the tiramisu for dessert!!! I was skeptical about the shrimp, but it was so delicious even our omnivore friends loved it!

Small but Awesome! - Edit
I've visited this restaurant twice on trips to Leuven. Both times it was great. So nice to have a completely vegan restaurant option!
Read moreThe staff were super friendly, and the food was served quickly. Kung Bao was delicious, burger could have almost fooled my omni husband, and the cake and ice cream were an excellent treat!
Both times we spent around 35 euros for mains, desserts and drinks, which is really reasonable. Highly recommended- we'll be back.
Pros: Vegan, Friendly Staff, Clean and Cosy

We recently had the exceptional luck of going to/passing through Leuven 3 times in the last month. And each time, we went to have dinner at The Loving Hut.

Loving hut Leuven is a small but nice place to eat. If you go at 18.00 hrs or so, a seat will be no problem, if you come later it might be full, so better go early.

Best place EVER - Edit
I travelled to Leuven just to try this place. It was not a mistake.
Read moreLoving Hut is EXCELLENT in all aspects. Finally, a 100% VEGAN restaurant! Affordable and with DELICIOUS options.
Since it was not expensive, I stuffed myself trying a lot of vegan meals (well, they are all vegan =) ). They were all exquisite: you will me amazed at how a simple dish can taste here.
The staff is unbelievably friendly, and genuine vegans. The only "downside" is that they don't allow tips. I'd gladly overtip them any time =D
They also have some interesting books to read while you are there.
Keep it up guys!!
Pros: Cheap, Friendly, VEGAN!!
