Serves meat, vegan options available. Cozy bar in the old part of the city very near the sea. Has a small vegan part on the tapas menu which includes spicy potatoes, hummus, falafel, vegetable pie, and stuffed vegetables with cous cous. Also has vegan coconut cake. All food is made-in-house. Relocated from Calle del Pericon de Cadiz. Open Mon-Fri 19:00-01:00, Sat-Sun 12:30-02:00. Kitchen closes 8pm.

Good choice for mixed groups - Edit
There is a vegetarian section on the menu with two vegan options, but the vegan burger for some reason had whipped cream as decoration (weird choice in any case???). There are some vegetarian and vegan tapas in the omnivore section on top of that. Make sure to specify vegetarian or vegan though when ordering from the tapas section though - soups for example might contain ham even if it doesn't say so! The food was tasty overall, but eating vegan wasn't as straightforward as it seemed from looking at the menu. This restaurant has a good wine and sherry list with a lot of local wines, which was really nice.

Amazing presentation and very tasty meal. They have 2 vegan options : Vegan burger and beetroot hummus, both of them delicious. They also have several sherry wines at a very reasonable price.

Nice selection of vegetarian tapas: cheese platter, salmorejo, tortilla and cashew hummus. And of course a good glass of tinto de verano for the perfect Spanish summer night. Staff is friendly and attentive to dietary needs.

Now, in 2023, when it's not so strange to find vegan options, I went back. And it was as brilliant as I remembered.

I went there with a picky omnivore and we both really liked the food! However the portion size was pretty small for both of us but the taste is amazing! I ate the burgers and they are amazing!

Never ate anything like the vegan duo burger here. Was definitely worth the price. The atmosphere is good as well as the staff. English menu is available. You'll get bread beside everything but you need to pay for it. Just that you know that.

We went in there because they advertised vegan options. We also told the waiter multiple times that we are vegan. He recommended us some dishes which we gladly ordered as they only had one vegan dish on their menu ( 2 vegetarian). The starter had cheese in it which we only found out after we had taken a bite each. We shared the vegan dish afterwards. It was ok taste wise until we found a piece of MEAT in it. of course it was only in the last bite... it was a disappointing experience. The only positive thing was the waiter who was very understanding. Still, we will never go again. Never [censored] ever.

La Isleta de la vina offers quality food: taste, look, atmosphere... it's certainly the best veg-friendly restaurant in Cadiz (there is only one vegetarian restaurant, La Veganesa).

Beware of the bredsticks (picos) because they are made with lard (manteca iberica).

Fantastic vegan and non vegan options - Edit
I went with my wife (we are vegan) and her parents (non-vegan). Ordered vegan burger which was lovely, taste bomb. Her parents had veal and lamb, that they said, were delicious too. They also got tuna eggs and fish too with crusty bread as appetisers without asking. We tried the vegan coconut desert as well, which was also perfect. Service was very quick, not too expensive. Would recommend when you go with non vegans so everyone can eat whatever they want.

A lovely place in the heart of the city. Nice place with cool art on the walls. A wide range of food and some nice vegan / veggie options! The wine is also very nice. And the cocktails are FANTASTIC!!! The staff (owner?) are super friendly!!! Absolutely recommended

I came here after reading the reviews and although there’s now only one vegan tapas on the menu, it was delicious. I had it with a huge salad and couldn’t finish everything. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was busy and had a lovely vibe.

We were really looking forward to visit the location and were very disappointed to find out that the service wasn't only really bad (kept us waiting for roughly 20-30 minutes after reluctantly giving us the menu when we asked for it specifically), but they also removed all the vegan tapas from the menu! Only fish and meat tapas to choose from. :(

Possibly the best meal I've had in Spain. I went there with my non vegan partner and both of us were amazed by how delicious the food was. They offer clearly marked vegan options, tapas style and also a chia coconut dessert which was perfect.

The owners really understand the needs of vegetarians and vegans. There are plenty of great options. The meals are small but not very expensive, which is why we combined several into a fantastic 3-course menu. We were overwhelmed first by the beautiful preparation of the food, then of course by its taste and quality. Definitely one of the best vegan meals I ever had in a restaurant. They even had fantastic live music. Although there was no outdoor seating, we can highly recommend this restaurant.
